I can't help to notice, but everytime Mizuki Nana sings, it's somehow too good, and it almost doesn't fit .. shes just too good at it lol.

But that long summer segment man, and the director right after that with another crazy idea .. lmao, you just cant take a break with this station can you.

Till someone snaps ... the small honne and tatemae segment was kinda deep. Also good to see savage kids making comback.

Man, this show really loves music videos.

Speaking of which, it looks like the main cast were to shoot another. On the other hand, we still got kids asking funny questions in the show...like this week about 'harassment'. I think Uramichi probably answered that question in the best way he could have.

Funny episode imo although the cast deserves a break from music videos.

Just when they were enjoying the AC inside the studio, the director put them to work outside. LMAO. That death glare tho. That man sure knows how to make the adults do that kind of work in extreme conditions as well. LMAO. What a horrible life. Poor Usao Kun, Banana, and his fate. Kumatani handled the situation pretty well. Great job.

Teaching kids about harassment and how they shouldn't throw a punch whatever happens. I don't agree with that completely but yeah, sometimes it's better to just calm yourself down. Also, got to see Kumatani at his previous job and how he got fired. That guy totally deserved for abusing that cat. Another funny and great episode.

HOLY SMOKES I'M VIBING WITH THE SUMMER SONG...while the Oniisans and Utano do their MV recording at the cold, Winter-feeling beach. ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT.

And now Director Derekida wants to do it again for the Winter season...in the sweltering Summer heat. Doesn't he know that he's making them all suffer again to recreate the Winter vibes using things like the slippery slope of a banana peel for snow slipping? Some mind tricks for self-trickery, and Kumatani hit his limits quite badly for performing adequately with bad bosses.

The Oniisans and Utano finally get some rest time under some air conditioning, and while Director Derekida gets burned as much as possible, everyone is trying their best to keep Kumatani. Back to the studio with kids asking the hard questions to Uramichi, and he does the usual dissent talk to keep the young-uns away from societal reality, addnig Kumatani's history relay in the process to give him some vindication.

The MV for the Winter song is done in a jiffy...BUT WHAT THE HELL, as Director Derekida mentioned, it's even better than the Summer song. I just can't get enough of Tobikichi casually slipping over a banana peel. Genius.

Great episode! Very glad Kumatani stood up for himself and his coworkers by putting the hot bear costume on the director xD. The singing in the music videos sounded nice also. I’m Looking forward to the next episode.

So now the cast has to do a Winter music video in the middle of a hot summer day. They should at least provide the cast with some cold drinks because they were literally burning up in those out of season Winter clothing. At least Kumatani put the director in his place by making him wear the hot bear costume. Hopefully the director won't come up with crazy ideas that the cast can't handle.

Probably my least favorite episode. I just can’t understand why none of the actors even raised any complaints about doing the winter shoot outside. Even after Kumatani stood up to the director nobody said anything. Yeah, I know, “Japan work norms” and all that, but in this situation there was literally no reason for them shooting outside during the summer. It pushed the already high suspension of disbelief into borderline fantastical territory.

With the amount of CGI they slapped onto the clip they could've just captured it in the studio. But that wouldn't be so wintery :D

In my ex-workplace I just fixed optical cables for 29 hours straight in one shift when my ex-boss called me to check out the server room too because there was some problem there and I was the closest at 7am. Unreasonable bosses? I've never heard of them before.

While there was great comedic value from them being forced to do a winter shoot in summer after doing a summer one in winter, it was good to see Kumatani stand up to the director's bullshit there.

Yeah, but it sounds like there was at least some urgent problem that needed to solved in your case (obviously, it is still horrible that they made you do that). In this case, the MV did not need to be shot in the summer and shooting it outside makes even more problems than shooting in the studio. There is nothing I can even think to base the director’s decision in reason.

Anyway, it was a smoking-hot episode. Kumatani kuma'd the director LOL. That was hilarious. We also got to know a bit more of his past and damn, that made me love him more as a character.

There's a more realistic angle behind the situation. As Kumetani said, it's hard to find jobs there. Losing income for even one or two months while renting in Tokyo is almost like a death sentence. Going back to the countryside, starting from zero, most of the times it looks scarier than a shitty boss or even a black company. Just a guess but I doubt that if any of them would be wealthy, would work in a place like that.

I could understand more if Kumatani didn’t speak up because it can be really hard to be the first person to do so. However, to not speak up after Kumatani did what he did doesn’t make sense. That would have been the perfect time to air your gripes as a group and support the lone guy that did something.

They said they would back him if his job was in jeopardy, so why wouldn’t they do that to begin with? They won’t fire everyone for raising complaints on working in unsafe conditions for no reason. How the whole situation was handled didn’t feel realistic.

I think this comes down to a cultural difference rather than realism. It certainly fits with the image I have from how working conditions are in Japan, although admittedly I'm not an expert. Anyway, standing up to your boss is much less accepted there than it is in the west, you're expected to work overtime without being paid without complaining, I believe sometimes taking the paid leave that you're legally allowed can even be a problem. And even separate from work, speaking up and saying your opinions is something that can already be an issue.

Pretty good episode in my opinion, but probably one of the more darker ones that I've seen, and probably had more meaning to it, especially in the latter half. It was pretty interesting seeing the backstory for Kumatani and revealed a good bit of his personality. But hey, at least the director will probably more reasonable now. We'll have to see what the production team cooks up for these upcoming final episodes, but I feel pretty hyped.

Regular overtime as a Japan norm is a different form of exploitation than this instance though. For overtime, there is something that NEEDS to be done before a close deadline. That is not the case in this situation. I agree that nobody saying anything likely goes back to the norms in Japan, but it was pushed to an extreme this episode in a way that is tough for me to believe. I’ve replied to more comments about this than I really care about so this’ll probably be my last one on this matter.

To be precisely honest, that double mv were not looking so bad. Its actually decent, decent at most hilarious part, ever. Especially with Usagi-kun. Kek. But, ofc that abusive director shall taste what he get after playing under the others suffering. Guess whose the one did the first job? Kumatani-kun proved worthy enough at those kind of time, to prevent any absurd Derekida demand from now, and forever. Maybe. Case closed and i mostly surprise that even in the middle of comedy part and every laughs, even on the usual Uramichi's wise speech with the kids. There's always a little dark side of the adult lifes which almost happen to everyone that works their ass so much, not different with Kumatani-kun. Good job by decrypting it in a nice way. Love this episode.

Poor cast. Just when they thought the torture was over, the director barges into the room to announce they're filming outside in a very hot summer day. The faces they were making were priceless.

Honestly, Sugita needs some kind of award just for voicing in Uramichi Oniisan. I think my sense of humor is twisted, but I can't stop laughing at him saying "ow, ow, ow" after getting hit by Kumatani. That was hilarious.

Great episode, especially that lesson at the end.

KUMATANI BEST BOIIIIIIIIIlIIII SAVES THE DAY lololllll

Violence is of course never the answer but everyone has their limits. Pretty sure it wasn’t just that sole incident that ticked him off & it’s something he had dealt with for a prolonged period. He may be at a different job now but at least he’s at peace with himself & working alongside a better crowd, one that albeit suffers together with him now L O L

but i’ll probably remember over and over again

Man, I love Kumatani, the man I aspire to be, what a lad.

I was wondering what that MV was in the beginning, and then I realized it's the summer shoot they did a few episodes ago lmao. And now they're shooting a winter MV in summer. Yeah, Derekida deserved all that, he's lucky he didn't get his face clapped. Well, compared to Kumatani's previous boss that was kicking the kitten, Derekida's not so bad.

Pretty hilarious episode though, looking forward to the next one.

The studio that Uramichi is in, is way too cruel

This was actually the best episode yet, the way how the raw steak and eggs that fell out of the ladies grocery bag to cook and serve on the road floor was just brilliant

But the director finally deserves what he gets, Kumatani finally throws in from his perspective to make him experience how he felt but dressing him up in a mascot suit.

I actually laughed this episode !

I'm so glad Kumatani did that to the Director; he wasn't actually violent and all he did was highlight how fucking ridiculous his demands were.

As for punching his old boss... I totally get it but he could've handled the situation without violence. I think Kumatani is actually a very kind person but he shows it in a negative way.

I loved this episode!! Kumatani and Uramichi <3

Very funny episode, so glad we got to see the results of their hard work in the freezing temperature :')

Was very upset with bob cut director... Kumatani MVP! He saved the day (and I also laughed at the way Usahara said "Ow"). Very smart of him to use the excuse of education to get him to suffer the heat of being in a costume in the blazing hot sun.

Also ahh my heart <3 I really liked the way Uramichi described harassment, and how some idiots won't understand unless they are punched (and that it can also have consequences). T^T Honestly I teared up, and also at the scene where Kumatani punches the a-hole and takes home the cat. Yeah...some ppl really need some sense knocked into them :')

It had some serious moments...

Uramichi-san explained “harassment” in the most round about way that even I got confused.

What Kumatani did to his previous boss was really understandable. Watching that scene with my cat in front of me, it got me furious too. It's not like Kumatani got fired he himself went and slammed the resignation letter before that shit boss could fire him.

First the freezing beach episode and now the blazing ''winter special'', glad Kumatani snapped there and gave the idiotic director a taste of his own unreasonable demands.

For a widely popular kids show you would think they have the budget to produce some high quality music videos instead of scuffed ones as if its done by a bunch of middle schoolers.
