Things like Death march and Maou-sama retry are good examples of brain dead series who realize it and play it in their favor. Cheat magician however, thinks that it's unique and tries to impress its audience with its "wit", which made it feel akward and clunky. You can see it esp when it has "emotional" moments. (like the spirit sacrifice in the last ep) |

ITs not really a sequal just a bonus ova. i have no idea why it got it now tough. I mean this is series so generic and bland its ova wasn't even reported to ANN and they usually cover anything that gets more material. regardless of shape or form. It is just so bland it is like your eating a plain rice cracker with no flavor. |
| That much hate for one OVA... Honestly I liked this OVA because it wasn't boring onsen,beach,fanservice like 99% of OVAs/specials. Anyway if it was that bad in Japan they would never make OVA, so stop complaining and if you don't like it just ignore it lol... |
