Interesting thoughts on SS and glad to hear you liked it. For what it's worth, later arcs do have a lot more character deaths (I assume Kubo wanted to give characters more time in the spotlight before they die), but yeah I can see that being an issue for earlier arcs.

At any rate, you're on my personal favorite arc now (aside from TYBW). Heads up though, while the SS arc is very well adapted, the anime's pacing gets extremely slow in the Arrancar arc and filler characters interrupt a lot of canon scenes. You might honestly want to go for the manga at this point, or at least if things ever feel like they're dragging out.

Yeah, I read the manga after the anime and I remembered being baffled with how different the Grand Fisher fight was.

Also no worries lol. I get ya, college is rough. You do get more used to the workload over time, but yeah I think I've been on anime hiatus ever since I was a sophomore. If there's one thing I wish I did more in uni though, it's join a weekly club or sport, or just go to occasional get-togethers. In grad school I've been trying to make some time for e.g. my department's soccer tournament or music festival, and while it's tricky to fit in my schedule, it's honestly done to keep me recharged and prevent burnout.

Gotcha. If you're interested, the only major changes so far have been Orihime's backstory getting censored pretty heavily and the Grand Fisher fight playing out very differently (e.g. the comic relief Shinigami and Ichigo seeing his real mom's spirit weren't in the manga). You can check out chapters 6 and 19-25 if you're curious.

I've been pretty good, moved from classes to research recently. Lot more interesting and hopefully will afford me a little more free time (tho that's probably wishful thinking). How've things been for you?

Eyy you started Bleach. If you don't have a preference though, I'd recommend going with the (colored) manga up until TYBW. It's faster paced and has a lot less censorship

So apparently the F/SN remaster was super buggy at launch, all the sprites and backgrounds got completely shuffled. It did get patched within a few hours, but seeing newcomers read it is kind of hilarious (especially at 45:50 of that vid)

I'm only a few hours into Extra. It's weird as hell but I can't say I've read enough to form a real opinion yet.

Tbh I'm just hoping to find something as insanely good as Heaven's Feel or Umineko EPs 7-8. But from what I've heard about MLA, it's kind of a hit and miss (e.g. TeslaEnjoyer and NekoArc seem to love it). I'll probably stick with it since I already started it and just hope I feel the same way about it by the end.

Honestly, this is a hot take I didn't want to have. This is the anime that overtook FMA:B in the rankings with such a record rating? I'm honestly so far quite disappointed.
