In this thread, you'll find a comprehensive list of Summer 2021 titles with an accompanying promotional video (PV), commercial (CM), or trailer. This post will be updated to include a PV, CM, or trailer for titles that are missing one, leading up to the start of the season. Titles that already have a video embedded will instead have their newly released videos added to the video tab in their respective entries. For convenience, the video tab can be accessed via the additional videos link next to the embedded video. If a title is missing a video, feel free to post it in this thread.
• Series are sorted by airing date of the first episode. Kids' series are not listed.
• One video of each anime has been selected and embedded under the accompany spoiler for an easy overview (except if the sources are not from YouTube).
Most probably gonna watch most of the new series, but the Series that I am waiting for is definitely Shiroi Suna no Aquatope followed by Vanitas no Carte. PA Works stan here🤗
Vanitas no Carte HANDS DOWN. Anyone who isn't watching this will be missing out Yuki Kajiura's music, Bones' amazing animation, Hanae Natsuki's voice acting, and of course, a good story plot!!
Looks like a pretty weak season. The only one I’ll probably end up watching is vanitas no carte and even that is mostly because the manga is highly rated and a respectable studio is animating it
Honestly glad that this season isn't that strong. I still have backlog of anime from past seasons.
I'm looking forward to Vanitas no Carte and Shiroi Suna no Aquatope.
Tsukimichi too, but that's because I enjoyed the manga
Going to have a busy summer for once so my anime intake will probably be reduced, sadly.
But I'll still be definitely keeping up with:
Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon S2
Tensei Shitara Datta Ken S2P2
Otome Game no Hametsu Flag S2
Higurashi Naku Koro ni Sotsu
Magia Record S2
Mahouka Koukou Yuutosei
Shinigami Bocchan to Kuro Maid
Vanitas no Carte
And possibly a few others that has a good premiere or two.
Thank god there's a little amount of show I've interested. What a busy summer next season, I probably have no time to watch anime. Sonny Boy still takes a month from now, huh...
8 series on this list OMG!!
Slime S2 P2
Kobayashi's dragon maid S2
Hamefura X
Genkoku
Tsukimichi
Tanmoshi
Higurashi S2
GS
And hopefully Magireco S2 will get it's release date soon! Such a good season, and this isn't including stuff that I'm curious about like Vanitas, Peach boy Riverside
case study of vanitas babeyyyyyy. otherwise I counted 10 shows I'm definitely watching, and then there's more I'm gonna keep an eye on to see if they're worth it
Kobayashi-san is obviously the must-watch of this season for me. Also excited for Love Live. Shiroi Suna no Aquatope looks like it could have potential. I'll give Bokutachi no Remake, Sonny Boy, and Jahy-sama a shot for at least a few episodes. And Kanojo mo Kanojo will hopefully satiate my shitty anime needs.
> D_Cide Traumerei
It is Titled D_Cide Traumerei The Animation and will start on July 10, 2021
New PV also released. https://natalie.mu/comic/news/433144
though I ctrl + f and found only 2 so I hope there's more than meets the ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Aguuus said: Most people confuse overrating with overpopularity, for example the poor SAO is a victim of this problem.
Nor is there overrating, only people who do not know how to qualify fairly, like me.
The season looks so fucking dry lol. Which is good for me since I am behind on most of things from this winter and spring.
That said only thing I really see potential in is Sonny Boy. Another thing I will watch is Kaizoku Oujo (The Pirate Princess). Have low expectations for the writing but I am sure production values will be amazing. If the story somehow ends up kicking ass, then all the better.
Will check out that Vanitas anime but from the promo material it doesn't look like something that I would really like. I'll see I guess.
I will also watch Getter Robo once I finish with the manga.
Well, this season is just full of isekai animes, moreover pretty dry season of this year. Anyways, I'm looking forward to Kanojo mo Kanojo and Detective is Already Dead
That is one of the two that I'm interested in, to see if Liella can grab me. Though they do have a very tough act to follow after the Niji anime.
The other, on the other hand...
G E T T E R... assuming it gets subbed, that is, seems that no-one's announced anything about picking up that passion project of a mecha anime for subbing yet.
