| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- The organ thing was a great addition to explain the kidnappings, but the news that Makoto's mom gave him was just...shocking. I loved the scene where he's reading the letter and just lets the paper fall to the floor, for Kei to pick up and read. I wonder how she had already figured out that was the case, though? Besides those two things, the episode was pretty average. |

| There were a lot of little unexplained things in this ep, like the aftermath of Masayuki's... erhm, interaction which the creepy woman, and what those paperdolls were doing on his house (and at that girls too) are, which made it seem somewhat bland. I hope the next ep is going to clear most of them, because by now there are so many hanging questions I'm starting to lose track of them. But I guess the two big ones for now are the attack on the priest and Makoto's mother. Also it seems dr. Hirata is leaving after all, after all those things I guess he can't be blamed XD |

| Balding woman practically has her own fan club at this point... Hirata-sensei, Masayuki's father, Masayuki, and now the newspaper/spy guy... So its looking like Makoto's father killed himself out of guilt for replacing his own son with Tarou and Tarou's sister. And Makoto's grandmother has been harvesting organs (possibly at the request of the creepy family servant) for... some sort of project? And now Dai Nippon Bio is manufacturing organs (maybe?) so there's not a lot of need to kidnap children. So why would anyone need tons of organs? My guess is that they want to resurrect the "God of one word" or whatever, and so Miyako will be kidnapped soon so that they can extract the God from her or something. Anyway, yay for a double release today. On to episode 19! |

| One thing I do not understand. So, Makoto's mother wanted to kill herself too, after his father did, but didnt because she didn't want to leave Makoto. But, she left him anyway because she couldn't stand living with his crazy grandmother and her bitch. That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. I can understand why Makoto is so f'ed up in the brain, with terrible parents and that crazy cult surrounding him. |

I dont know if it was the fansubs or the letter but either way I hope the actual truth turns out different from what Makoto's mother says, because as you so eloquently put it, the letter was quite illogical. | Okay so this ep said lots of things and so few of them that I don't really know what to say. I love what they said at the end I never thought of something like that but it seems pretty creepy. They always say things about smart investigations and stuff and I like that. I didn't understand so well the part were Makoto's mom said she is a ghost :/ She is or not? Bceause they never really mention anything about it. I wish Makoto will have finish reading the papaers her mom wrote because I wanted to know everything but oh well. And omg the house was on fire? |

| That was so weird. After all this waiting game to know the truth, Makoto's mother just wrote it on a paper and Makoto read it. I was expecting something more big as the reveal, lol. At least we now know why Makoto's father died and how he was related to the case, poor Mizuka and Tarou. I still don't get why they wanted to get so many organs and why kids were always the choice, maybe it has something to do with the god thing? Something I still don't understand is what Makoto's grandmother did, what was her role in all of this. Was she actually the servant for that old creepy woman? Why did the guys in the black suit specifically come to her for the organs. It also seems like Bio-Tech isn't as bad as I thought, seems like they are creating organs to stop this kidnapping spree. Also why is the house burning???? |

| Makoto's family are all fucked in the head. What sort of hysterical line of reasoning is that? If his father wasn't even responsible then why would he kill himself instead of just not killing himself, or at least try to implicate Makoto's grandmother, who had Mizuka killed? It's like a suicide cult where everyone except the parties actually responsible for the crimes kill themselves to the benefit of no one in particular. |
