| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- I am so glad we are getting Jin's music in anime again. The character designs have a unique bubbly look to them which I am def digging as well. As for the content of the episode itself, I think its a good start for a music anime but with a crazy premise and wild moments happening I wonder what the overall narrative is going to be. Insane mechs and good music. Is this our FLCL? |
| Not a bad start but also not too great. That Myuu girl has my interest somewhat and the world about music. They could certainly add more charisma for the character personalities to get me interested in more. The conflict on the outside looked pretty grim for the people living in that city. Those monsters are no joke. Kinda moody for the first episode but I dig the music and style of the show. |

| Pretty underwhelming premiere tbh, weakest one I've personally seen so far. The music was really good and the setting looks pretty cool on paper, but the premise was not that interesting for the start, and same goes for the characters. They bored me. Hopefully this picks up steam later on as we get to know more about the premise and the characters, but for now, I am not sold on this. |

| Could be a fun adventure now that the everything's been established, but as a first episode this was a little underwhelming (I blame the unnatural dialogue mostly). Though a good music-themed anime needs to have good sound, and this one certainly does. Voice acting was good too. |
| Completely not my cup of tea. Great seiyuu cast won't be able to keep me watching it. Not like I expected that Satou Dai's series will be interesting for me. And as I said in other thread, female character design is unbearable for me (and that's pretty rare in my case). |

| That was pretty good! I wish the animation were more stylized (opportunity for something FLCL-ish), but the character designs are great, pacing seemed on point and the exposition had the right balance of reveal and questions. The CGI was well-integrated too, and the soundtrack is nice. Interested to see where this one goes. 8/10 this week. |

| Heh, all those misunderstandings with sexual undertones between both MCs were pretty funny, ngl. The chicks dressed in all-black and with their faces covered make their appearance next episode, I'm certainly interested in that. |

| Pretty decent start. I think the setting is interesting and the mech battles should be fun. Liking the character vibe from Echo and Mu, I would like it was more upbeat and positive but I'm curious as to what kind of direction this will take. The innuendo's were funny. xD |

| Pretty good start with interesting setting. I like the girl already, her attitude is great and she's cute to boot. The mecha fight was cool and I liked it's design too. Anyway I'm interested in this show so looking forward to more. |

| Low-key had to think of Eureka Seven. While not the most entralling start it worked out as set up episode and I'm kinda intrigued. The premise and setting are simply too good to give up on this series just yet. I'm rather concerned regarding the lengths, but gotta trust Satou Dai. |

| Welp that was boring as hell, carole & tuesday season 2 looking pretty bad so far. Don't really like the character designs, the setting is nothing new anymore, the monsters and robots (equipment) look horrible and only the soundtrack is fine |

| So apparently this is going to be a mecha anime. I thought it was going to be like Carole & Tuesday, but I guess instead of a mediocre anime with good music it is going to be an average anime with bad action scenes. |
| I came into this blind (hadn't heard about it) and after some minutes I thought, "mmh this has a familiar feel". And halfway through I thought, "bloody hell, this really feels like Eureka Seven" And then I check it out and of course Dai Satou is behind the story. No wonder. I liked it well enough. It would have been a huuuge hit in 2005, but I get the feeling that your average MAL'er in the year 2020 is going to hate it. No airhead characters, rock instead of pop or dubstep. And as an anime original with no big property fans behind it to create hype, I expect the score to be low around these parts (not that it matters). |

| woah, a character who doesn't recall their past not being some depressed emo? masaka but damn I like the buildup from this episode, this could turn out to be a nice adventure style series. Let's hope it doesn't follow the Shield Hero route and go to shit once more characters join the party :P ngl I thought Murase Ayumu was Kaji Yuuki the whole time before I realized it lmao |

| The Earless...actually have ears. OK. I was pretty disappointed. I don't really feel like the premise is going to carry a full 12 episode series and the characters are bland. Making constant band references and having boring mecha battles is just not promising. |

| Shit I forgot this came out today. MAL didn’t remind me Takanashi rie is busy this season This was very very very fun to watch. It reminded me a lot of FLCL back in the day on Adult Swim. I thought this was gonna be a Carole and Tuesday style show but it was actually more Trigger style than anything. Myuu early girl of the season contender. I can tell this is going to be some over the top crazy shit |

| I actually enjoyed it quite a lot! So far, the plot reminds me of how people described Darling in the Franxx to me (though I never got around to watching it myself). I love Myuu, as well as the character designs, and the voice acting is top notch. I'm definitely going to stick it out to see what the overarching plot will be! |
| The script was by a pretty good margin the weakest part, which is a shame because the plot itself is perfectly fine and it seems like a decent fun romp. Not 100% sold yet, but willing to give it another episode or two at least |

Will see where this goes. |
| Lazy and boring way to start off the show. boy living poor meets girl who have powers then uh oh the big meanie monster coming to kill us and ending off with a train leading somewhere. When I first see the cover of the anime, i never thinking about mechs fighting, I checked every image and none includes a her in a robot, even the description seems vague. But this is the first episode hoping things get tad better. |

| Very enjoyable first episode, 9/10. Many anime fans are such whiners, if they've seen something even remotely the same, it becomes bland, boring and generic. |
