Hmm, it looks like this episode gave some time for Schaal to bond with Claude.

Hank's personality is pretty much thrown right into the episode again. Most of his battles honestly feels the same now and I feel underwhelmed. The monster he did face this episode seems more powerful than others. (although probably weakere than Cain)

So we see Claude having a fever and staying out of this battle.

The opponent that Hank faced, Roy, was quite strong. Though I wanted to see him get wrecked by Hank.

Considering the grim role that he set for himself mental fatigue was always a certainty. The guilt that he must feel must be immense. Though they were bound to face each other eventually its fortunate that Schaal and Riza were to meet Hank again in his most desperate need. The convo between Schaal and Claude was pretty interesting and showed just how much she had learned about not just the incarnates but the pain that both them and Hank feel in their battles. Its good that Claude has such a able second though. Liza's antics and especially the effects she has on schaal are always so amusing. Given the disaster its no wonder Hank was reluctant to transform but man that sure put him in a bad spot. Overall a solid ep that while featuring limited action did well to focus on showing just how much Schaal has changed in both personality and beliefs as a result of the battles she's been through. At the same time the insight into Hank's guilt and pressure that has on his mind was also insightful. Im curious whether Schaal and Liza's words actually got through to Claude.

Honestly this was a gd show untill those jokers in uniform and Cain's little brother appeared. Another anime ruined sigh.

Anyway Hank finally saw that Schaal is alive, he may get some of his sanity back now.

I was not expecting a literal cliffhanger and I knew Claude was pushing himself too hard. I also liked how Liza was teasing the possibility of Calude and Schaal ship. It seems that Hanks oath of killing the Incarnates by himself is too much of a burden for him to do it alone. The pain and stress of killing his own comrades is starting to get to him and it is interfering with his beast form. Right now he needs Schaal so he can have a shoulder to cry on.

Nice to get more insight into Hank after all this time. A cool fight but with 3 episodes left I have to wonder how the series will end. I wonder if Schall understands that the very bond that saved Incarnates can also drive them to madness. She couldn't even save her Dad with their bond. Seems naive to me but whatever I like her better now. Also Liza trying to steal Claude from Schaal was hilarious

I'm happy they are going to adapt the Garm arc in two episodes, as I feared they would cram it all in this one. With this pace, they will probably end the anime at
My only complaint is that they made Roy's Garm form purple. I think it would had looked better if they would had made it completely black, like in the manga.

Great episode !, the fight between Hank and the incarnate Garm, was brief, but great. Since Hank became a giant wolf, he has lost control over his incarnation of Werewolf. I hope that now that he saw Schaal alive, he can regain some control.

Ps: I always wanted to see a fight like that in the anime.

The dialogue between Schaal and Claude was ok but I had expected it to be deeper. In the end it was Liza who got him thinking. The military unit is what I found odd. If they were specialised in killing incarnates, why even bother to shot them with regular bullets? The werewolves' fight was one the other hand pretty good though plot convenience striked again with the cliff escape.

Claude being red from the fever and afterwards blushing because of Liza has to be the best part of the episode lol

What an awfully boring episode. Everything was dull, even the battle. I don't know what's going on with MAPPA, but the animations are horrible. This show has been such a disappointment.

Like... when you're the head of a special task force yet you can't handle a simple cold. Claude at least should have let Liza "take care" of him, just saying.

By the way, Schaal saying that bonds can save Incarnates from their madness was so... cliche. Well... I guess her bond with her father wasn't something that special then.
Honestly, I was expecting her talk with Claude to be more meaningful. Clearly, I was expecting too much.

Anyways, as expected, this was another boring episode.

I enjoyed this episode. Poor Hank got thrown around like that. Claude should relax more. Can't wait to see the next episode.

decent episode - hoped for some interaction between Schaal and Hank, but I guess that's for next week

her interaction with Claude wasn't anything special, but perhaps cuz till now Claude's been a brat

If I were Claude, I'd be wary of Liza or she'll force him to have 'fun' ;P

After the events of post-credits last episode, Hank decimated Roy (or rather the other way around) the Incarnate Garm, whom the spell continues to side towards Cain.

On the side of Major Claude and his leading Coup de Grace military group, their target is Hank, whom is the only salvation equivalent (in terms of power and strength) to ending his Incarnate comrades before more shit could happen.

Ooh, Schaal telling Claude about the connections between humans and beasts, but I'm not really sure how he would attest to that. It just felt very unnatural and cliche, even to the extent that she used her dad as a (blatant) example. Oof.

Liza with her big boobs is still a fearsome feeling haha.

With how weak in will and power Hank is, the feeling that we can't bear to overcome for Hank turning Incarnate in his real form...is just lacking. What is this formula that the anime is sorely missing??? His way of not wanting to transform to his Incarnate form speaks about something...

Hank is almost at his death...
Schaal got to see Hank at the glory of his near-death experience...
Roy stood on one corner...

With 3 episodes to go, this felt like somewhere on Episode 6-7, not THIS late. We're back to the "monster of the week" formulae, but to establish the "humans and beasts", MAPPA and the production team would try hard to find that link with the manga and their non-canon story-filler.

The perfect way for this series to end would be a slow pan out from the heads of Hank and Major Claude mounted on pikes. A testament to the folly of oaths and pacts.

I know there was a lot of battle stuff going on in this episode, but for some reason for me, this was the most boring episode so far, I just wanted it to be over. I still don't get why Hank gets so upset about Schaal. He really shouldn't be THIS attached to her.

I really don’t know how this show finds ways to get worse every week, but it always does. I was really excited about it when it first came out, but now I dread every time there’s a new episode. I’ve come this far though so I’m gonna go ahead and finish it.

It seems that this show tried so hard to ship Claude with Liza.

That cliffhanger.

Looks like Hank has an internal struggle after his rampage in his true form, well he now knows that Schaal is still alive maybe that will help him regain his strength
