 The second and third combined 2018 issue of Weekly Young Magazine has announced that Akira Hiramoto's Prison School manga will end in the 4th and 5th combined issue.Prison School began its serialization in February 2011 and currently has 27 compiled volumes in print, with the latest volume being published on November 6. The manga won in the Best General Manga category at the 37th Kodansha Manga Award in 2013. J.C.Staff adapted the series into a 12-episode TV anime in Summer 2015 with an OVA bundled with the 20th compiled volume in March 2016. The Fukukaichou Ganbaru. spin-off manga by ReDrop began in Young Magazine the 3rd in August 2016 and ended recently with 14 chapters on October 6. Yen Press has been publishing the manga in English in 2-in-1 omnibus format since July 2015. Funimation licensed the anime series for North American distribution and released it in a Blu-ray and DVD volume in November 2016. Source: Mantan Web |

| I guess the current situation in the manga does seem like a "conclusion". It's best to end this series right now, then to drag it on. The climax of the previous arc was already a nightmare in terms of pacing. That being said though, the series is ending on a high note since the last couple of chapters were actually pretty funny. |

| Yeah I mean sure it has been heading to a sort of climax recently but this still feels premature to me. Think it should've gotten another maybe 10 chapters to properly wrap things up but oh well Was a fantastic manga either way; even if the ending might turn out a bit lackluster it will feel like a relatively small deal compared to how good the rest of it has been (well, discounting the fucking cavalry battle arc that is) |

| Well it's finally official that this manga got axed. Hiramoto should've seen this coming, because of how he dragged the cavalry arc for nonsensical plot. It's just sad that it is axed because he just set up a few sub plots, that may not be answered for the next final chapter. Also, that announcement page is kinda spoilery right? Since that's from the newest raw chapter and has not been translated yet. |

| Wow I really didn't expect this. I did notice the stuff has been starting to resolve itself in the plot with Kiyoshi being confronted by the 2 main girls that are interested in him, but didn't think it would end anytime soon. Looking forward to the conclusion. |

| I'm honestly not surprised, not sure what more can be done in it. The story from the Cavalry battle onwards has plummeted in quality, the pacing is abysmal and it has lost all the charm it had since the end of that Cavalry battle when a certain event happened. It feels like it's running just to keep running which you really can tell. I'm glad he's finishing it before he runs it into the ground any further. |

| The Cavalry Arc killed the manga. It dragged on and got so redundant that I began skimming every chapter that came out for like 20 chapters straight and missed absolutely nothing. How do you drag out a high school cavalry battle for TWO FKN YEARS???!?! Manga forums dried up, scanlators got bored, and the Japanese fans got pissed off. Look at the reception this arc got:  |

We're talking about prison here but none of it make sense because the prison itself aren't used not to mention after the helicopter incidents. There's some good scene but the scene dragged to much like 60 chapter for a whole bunch of weird kiyoshi dick. |
