Grave of the Fireflies, my friend told me she watched it with her mom, and her mom couldn´t stop crying for half a week; I Want to Eat Your Pancreas never called my attention that much, but I´ll give it a try if you recommend it. I must say I never heard of Maquia before, what is it about?
Oh my god, yeah, I know what you mean by that; it takes quite some time for anime movies to appear on the internet, even more, to receive subtitles, and way more to air in Western country's movie theaters. An anime I enjoyed some time ago, Bakuten, received a movie sequel; I was very hyped to see it, but it took so much time to appear on the Internet that I even forgot it existed. If it wasn´t because I accidentally saw the name on another page I would have forgotten it completely.
Movies being too short to give characters proper development is one of the reasons why I am scared of the upcoming Haikyuu movies; moreover, is another reason why I don´t want to see the final arc of Kimetsu no Yaiba airs as movies.
I see, that seems to be a very popular way to watch the seasonals. Let me say, you will have to wait quite some time for Zom 100 to finish; while most seasonals are currently finishing, Zom 100 is just in ep 9 after a series of delays, and people say there will be more. Bleach has been perfect, and although some moments made me realize the author could have handled some characters better, it has been a very fulfilling and enjoyable adaptation; the ending song is, in my opinion, amazing and creepy at the same time.
I recommend you to watch Undead Girl Murder Farce, which has been a very pleasant surprise; I didn´t plan to watch it, but I like I gave it a chance. Bungou Stray Dogs season 5 is another good choice; it was a roller coaster of emotions, impossible to predict, and jaw-dropping most of the time.
I understand you completely on that one; there are times I also tend to spend more time reading manga than watching anime. I tried to read manga series that are already finished since sometimes is boring to wait for updates.
I know what you mean, there are just a few anime, shows, and movies, that hit to that level. I know Colorful touches some very hard issues, such as suicide for instance, and the repercussions it has on everyone. I have seen some clips of the movie on YouTube, and I liked what I saw a lot. Nevertheless, I wasn´t aware it handled methods for dealing with real-life issues; very good to know. Thanks a lot for your comment.
I do not enjoy watching movies that much; the last one I saw, Bakemono no Ko, was utterly disappointing and I ended up feeling like I wasted 2 hours. Still, I like giving a chance to movies that portray real-life issues and portray them properly. Hence, I will give Colorful a chance.
By the way, since the season is already ending, have you watched anything interesting?
Thanks a lot; have a nice weekend :)
Although I tend to like definitive endings, I was very satisfied with the manga of Fairy Tail; it felt very real, especially with a main group who enjoys going on adventures.
Aside from the Oracion 6 arc, I really liked the Spriggan 12; they were a very powerful group with extremely overpowered abilities, plus their designs were very unique. I don´t know why, but I was never able to like Grimoire Heart.
Same here, Summer Wars was the first anime movie I ever watched, and I watched it for a lot of days hahaha; I enjoyed the plot and the main trio, Their personalities were so different and they complemented each other naturally. For quite some years I wished there was a sequel.
It was hard to choose just one season of Gintama; originally I had Silver Soul part 2 because I liked the confrontation of everyone vs. Utsurou, but I changed to the movie after a while hahaha. Still, is hard to choose since the first adaptation has some of the best arcs including Umibozu, Benizakura, Shinsengumi Crisis, Inugami, Yoshiwara in Flames, and Diviner arc, The next season had The Four Devas, and the best ending, Samurai Heart. Then another season covered the Thorny arc, another Courtesan of a Nation, another Shogun Assassination, and Farewell Shinsengumi, and in the end, choosing the second movie, which has an amazing original plot, was easier hahaha.
Sorry for such a long paragraph hahaha.
I noticed you have Colorful as one of your favorite movies; what is your opinion of it? All I know is that covered a lot of hard issues.
Hope you are doing fine, Have a nice weekend :)
Have have you been?
Is nice seeing Naruto in your favorites; I think is the anime that raised a generation hahaha.
I liked Angel Beats a lot, is one of the few anime that left me on the verge of crying; Moreover, Natsume´s Book of Friends is a wonderful story, and I am eager to watch the new season.
I also like Fairy Tail, the first season is one of my favorites; One of the arcs I enjoyed the most was Oracion 6. It is one of the anime franchises that has the best soundtrack, opening, and endings songs.
I'll keep it mind then.
Probably for me is the other way around, since I could start Edens Zero from day one, while approaching Fairy Tail is quite difficult since is so massive,64 volumes is quite large.
Fairy Tail is on my read list and I think I'll read it around this year. I'm personally enjoying Edens Zero a lot ,that is from Hiro Mashima too.
Really enjoying Yabuki art too,he's one of my favourite mangakas.
