| Shaft did it's magic on the series after all except it's the eating that has their touch to it instead of head tilts and it's kinda erotic. Ryou's soft subdued voice made my heart skip beats, she has a perfect wife voice. Kirin is very adorable but quite obnoxious as well similar to Mashiro Mitsumene from Mikakunin de Shinkoukei and the flashbacks show that Ryou herself acted like Kirin when she was younger. The food also looked tasty as well as expected. |

| From the CM i was worried that it wasn't gonna have that shaft flare. Luckily from the first episode i was wrong. While we didn't get much foodgasms we did get that SoL moments that i was hoping for. If this gets 3 seasons i wouldn't even be upset (seeing as how it was insisted by the studio). Is this the modern day Hidamari for shaft studio? Lets see. There isnt much margin of error unless they mess up on the food or decrease the already good quality that has been displayed thus far. With a few more episodes we will really dive into the food and the rest of the cast and even the plot. My hype was met and my doubts were erased from this episode. Moving on to the OP, what a wonderful shafty, happy op that was. All is left is for CR to pick this up so i can watch that good quality subs. |

| That was simply amazing, pretty tame for SHAFT but the style is still there and really adds to the show. I love how Ryou related to Kirin when she was younger, that bit of healing was just perfect. Can't wait for Shiina. |

| Thank god it's just a comedy/slice of life, SHAFT + Mari Okada, never has a show that screams this much "haul ass! get to the chopper!" to me. Remember that one episode about food and sex from Otona Joshi no Anime Time? From here I'm using that as my point of reference. I don't know why, just feel like it. Turns out if you were an anime character you didn't have to chew you just swallow. That sounds erotic...? Okay all joking aside this is a decent episode, it has SHAFT's signature of attention to details and high production value even for SoL, the only other production company I can think of has the same attitude is Kyoto Animation. For a show like this that has almost zero plot progression or interesting characters making it an eye candy is almost a given. Not much to discuss, just watching it for the food porn. |

| Eh, wasn't bad, it's a typical slice-of-life. After surviving Girlfriend (Kari), it wasn't as boring, mainly because there was some cooking involved. Not sure how I feel about the characters, though. If they don't shape up soon, I'm going to end up forgetting who they are every week. |

| Wow... I feel like Shinbou really dialed it back with this series, that is, unless Tatsuwa is choosing the direction. I'm not complaining though since his usual style is very intrusive for series like this. Overall I liked the episode. Hoping for more food porn scenes. |

| I really enjoyed this episode. It had a very relaxing feel to it. It's a good thing that I just had a snack just before I watched this though, because I could see this making me really hungry. Then again, watching people eat lots of food tends to make me feel somewhat full. I don't know, it's kind of hard to explain. Anyway, I digress. This is looking like it's going to be a very good series. I don't expect it to blow me away or anything, but I definitely feel like I'm going to enjoy it. |

| That was quite enjoyable with them eating and the bounciness was just lol. Ryou and Kirin seems to really get along with already some pretty nice moments! The talk about being Ryou's family and that pat on Ryou's head! Seems like quite the enjoyable show. |
