Akari, why you so pro at hacking?

I'm still curious at the full extent of Hana's powers though. She's already shown a lot of potentials against the Planetary Gears. The battle felt kinda underwhelming but I think Hana made her point pretty well.

They were able to go back.

Wow, assistant is refusing that womanizer.

They don't forget about how Hana is mentioned as experiment body, for it mentions what the instructor thought about her, and her own feelings throughout the years. And only main guy can get her out.

The newest episodes are getting progressively better one after another.

This one for example got me kinda hyped for what is going to happen in the next episode (also, the Hana's development is getting more attention, she was more or less a flat character 6-8 episodes ago).

Yup, I can finally give a proper rate for an episode in this show. Let's hope it continues like this.

Gogo assistant!

For some reason i never realized the Bloom was a ship till this episode lol. I'm kinda shocked that salty dog wasn't able to capture Hana.

I'm glad they were all able to return home safely though.

Oh wow, a mission that is a high risk factor for Hana by controlling the Blume. Damn Daichi better save her if something bad is going to happen with that ship. As always Akari's skill hacking just made me laugh for some reason XD. Salty Dog is going to be annoying when they keep capturing Hana.

This is going in the exact direction I was hoping the show would avoid. Now I guess Hana becomes the captured princess in need of constant saving/protection, and Daichi the knight in cringe worthy armour. Hopefully the show will prove me wrong. Oh well, as long as Akari stays awesome I guess.

Mahou Shoujo Akari being amazing once again; hacking into the computers of Australia's Central Command base and helping the trio to escape with the Bravnik. Best character! <3

Looks like Puck got dumped. A computer probably can't maintain a harem after all. XD

Malkin wishes Amarok to be interested in her body? O.o . So Planetary Gears also have such emotions I guess..

Salty Dog continues to pursue Hana. I'm getting tired of them already.. -.-
Loved how they got owned by that Blume though. That beam is mighty strong!

Good episode. Now, Pirate Captain needs to go and bring Hana back from the spaceship once again.

Before I start. I would like to give thanks to the composer of the music for making some lovely pieces this episode. I never really praised the music of this show before but this episode in particular was very on point being well written pieces and integrated well into every scene.

Some unnecessary fanservice but that's nothing new. Boob shots galore that just so happen to be covered by things in the right places. I really wish anime these days would stop doing this stuff.

The episode was IMMENSELY cheesy for the last 2/3rds. It was cute but... I did cringe a bit sometimes cause I heard many of the lines they said before. They are really trying to hammer in the relationship between Hana and Daichi.

Wait so... Is Puck really that guy? Or was he talking to himself? Maybe there are 2 Pucks and he just uploaded himself into a body but still remains in the computer... gah... Also I guess Saltydogs plan is to.. get immortality? Obtain massive power? Was it ever really clear what their objective is? Has it been revealed to us yet?

It seemed like they were focusing a lot of giving Hana more background but all they really did was show us what we already know with the message of "Hana was blank until she met Daichi, now she smiles.". So not a lot happened in the episode besides the ending.

A bit convenient for Hana to land in the exact area of her ship... Maybe it can teleport to her or something Idunno, I just thought it was a bit odd. The ship looks cool though.

All in all, cheesy episode with good music and some unnecessary fanservice. 3/5

From what I understand based on some (untranslated) things shown in the manga. Moco is pretty much the only Planetary Gear to have taken a liking to its Avatar Body, and this has come over the years.

I did lol at the "you have no libido" remark.

Episode was interesting, wasn't full action/trouble and we see some of Puck and Hana, that's nice.

Hana being in Blume raises the question, as to who will pilot the Flare then? Also next episode looks nuts. Salty Dog is still on the move and they have their Garmr Impacter and then there is Ai on the Tenkaidou? Holy shit!!

I'm assuming there's a default ego for the intelligence machine, and when Puck transferred its "ego block" into Kube, it reset itself to that default ego. It's still basically the same Puck, but that Puck doesn't see itself as the Masaki Kube Puck, but rather the Puck it had been up until it transferred itself. Kube Puck pretty much disconnected itself from Puck, otherwise he'd have no reason to go and talk with it. I think the only way to mark a discrepancy in order to identify them is to assume that Kube Puck attained some of the nuances of Masaki's "ego block" since he took it over. So Puck could probably transfer itself into countless "slightly different" Pucks. Though it surely understands that Kube Puck is an extension of itself, and probably sees him and itself as one in the same, even if they don't share a consciousness. That's probably why it reacted the way it did to Malkin calling him a monkey in heat.

At least it would make some sense that way, and I'd prefer it that way. Sure could use a little clarification, but such is Captain Earth.

completely agree with you on the soundtrack. some really fantastic pieces in the ost.

also agree with you on hammering the hana daichi relationship into the viewer. the series actually did the relationship building over the course of the series pretty well so making it such a focus seems unnecessary.

regarding the blume i actually think it can teleport since as far as i remember when daichi found her she was also in the ship (same bubble) or when hana said she is now beginning her mission she actually called the blume to her location since the last time the blume fired its laser it was next to tanegashima

Apparently, they do not have any kind of regular alarm or anything, as it showed "Kill-T Gang" in the top left at the Tanegashima base. So much money on the various bases including multilayered space stations and of course the engines..but not enough to provide descriptive text for various alarms.

If this where a real life project, it would be likely that they cut corners on several occasions, which would bite them in the ass real bad sooner or later. Imagine a nuclear power plant that was built with that amount of negligence. Though the stuff you hear now and then sounds like some really got built like that..but enough of that.

So it seems the planetary gear are finally stepping up their game, with Ai paying the space station a visit. Given that Daichi, Teppei and Hana will arrive there next episode, too, it shouldn't end up all that bad, but at least the planety gears made a plan that isn't outright stupid and destined to fail right away.

This felt like a short episode. I guess I was just getting really into it. Sort of like I am getting into the series as a whole now. It's all coming together quite nicely, and my opinion is improving. (Not that my opinion was that bad to begin with)

I like seeing the sort of blind trust that Hana has for Daichi, its really cute!

The big question now is, what does Salty Dog plan to do with the Blume?

It feels like we are gearing up to a pretty big battle! I think we might be seeing the end of Ai in the next episode.

Also, Amara's reaction to Moko was pretty great, and I sort of relate to it. haha

I wish more anime would stick to 2D mecha and the like. The action looks so nice in this show, and most other shows are going more and more towards 3D. The day we get a 3D BONES mecha will be a sad one indeed.

However as the majority of BONES mecha go, they have some great build up, but always feel like they are an episode or two away from telling a complete story. The end always feels rushed. Since they seem to be building up to the end now, maybe that won't happen.

Still waiting for the return of Teppei's "father"

In Akari we trust. The other 3 would be lost without her.

The Amarok dude seriously has no libido after rejecting that fine piece of womanhood.

"If I lose the captain, there will be no point in getting out of the ship." - Hana
REALLY? Like REALLY? I think that's the most selfish thing I've heard her say.
You have two other friends yet you would cast them away because your boy crush would be dead.
I kinda hate Hana now tbh.

Teppei and Akari should of been the main couple from the beginning. They are more interesting.

This series kinda went downhill for me. It started so good too.

The fanservice and the cheesy romance between Daichi and Hana are the biggest flaws of this anime. They could've used all the time spent on that to present a proper exposition and to do some minor world building, while they're at it.

That said, this episode was pretty decent. The objective was straight-forward and well presented. Some bits of the score also fit in pretty nicely.

Hana did get some character developement, but is still a bit one-dimensional. I really wish she cared about things other than Daichi. Now she's playing an even bigger role, controlling the Blume. I hope her separation from Daichi won't prolong her love even further.

I haven't been enjoying Captain Earth lately, but I really felt this episode pulled me back. And I mostly came to comment about that absolute amazing piano piece that played at the end of the episode, which I'm happy to see others mention before me.

Kosaki Satoru happens to be my second favorite composer so he finally shines in Captain Earth.

One of the better episodes of this god forsaken series. I'm surprised that I have literally nothing to complain about for once. Perhaps its because Daiichi did nothing stupid for once. Loved Hana's new spaceship, but I wonder how the heck Salty Dog is going to try and force Hana to work for them. I mean, they have nothing to threaten her with anyway, unless they get their hands on Daiichi, but given how they were planning to kill him off, I guess they didn't even have data on that either.

Can't believe that Amara didn't even bat an eyelash at Moko's er..... "avatar" :P

So now that Hana is in command of the Blume does that mean that someone else will have to come and pilot the Flare Engine or is that just gone now? I guess she can always be released but if they need to use it in battle then she can't pilot the Flare Engine as well. Decent episode but the next one looks even better.

The story moves well, but I always find misplaced dialogues and characters.
Narrative that provides other reasons to make engaging plot, but the course of events do not really like, there are some inconsistencies that could be called: Lucky shameless ".
I can not understand the behavior of Puck, is a single component or dwell in him more of a presence? Mah!
Drawings and animations great, who knows what happened to fne with mecha enemy, because it attacks its own initiative the Blume? I'm curious.
Soundtrack big-time.

So they actually made it. Didn't expect. I'm just a bit disappointed the characters they made such a big deal of are barely relevant at this point. Why have them in if they're just going to be thrown aside in favor of some AI ball.
