It was a very good episode, but I don't clearly understand something
Apparently Kurama and Hiei used to know Byakko and the other beast guy, am I right?
It's the only thing i don't clearly get because I don't know Japanese too well and I can't find any English or spanish subs =/

No, they were just mad at how that guy was so fast killing one of his own, just like that.

Anyway, took him 5 minuntes to kill the strongest so far, while byakko had 2 whole episodes for himself, and a little bit more of this one LOL

I liked this episode more than the last one, because I found this fight more interesting. Poor Byakko, dying a pathetic death.

I was looking forward for more Hei fight. But well, at least it's already done. And it's pretty standard already that the girl of the main char is being held hostage.

Wasn't expecting that quick victory from Hiei. He's such a beast!

It was honestly quite lucky of Botan to be able to survive those waves of infested civilians for that long with only a baseball bat.

Other than the flute, I wonder what abilities the last of the four Saint Beasts has at his disposal.

God this is awful, Can't believe the same guy that wrote HxH made this.
The only similar thing between the two are the 4 main characters.
Other than that, this looks like a bad DBZ ripoff.

I'm only giving this series a shot because Togashi wrote it. If it was someone else i would've dropped it by now.

I understand Hiei is op compared to Kuwabara, but ending his fight in what, 2 minutes, compared to Kuwabaras fight of 2-3 episodes? Eh, what a bad choice.

Knew Byakko was gonna be ded. Hiel is one of those enemies slowly turning into good guys characters which I love.

Amazing how Byakko managed to survive the lava. I wonder what his clothes are made of?

Hiei's fight was surprisingly short. Dude is op!

Of course they are going after Keiko.

That first minute was pure comedy gold, goddamnit George, well deserved spankings.

OMG Byakko, you were thrown into the lava, just die already! Inb4 Byakko has stone guy's power and can reattach himself.

I agree with Kuwabara's opinion, Hiei is cooler than I through, Sakamoto would be proud.

"GRRRRRR, I SAID YOU NEED TO GET SOME SLEEP!" I know that scene wasn't meant to be funny, but I laughed hard when the teacher said it.

This episode wasn't that interesting, but Seiryu looked pretty cool and vampirish. Also, I'm a little sick of seeing Botan hit like one zombie and complain that there are too many. They really should have done something else with those scenes, because it's nearly the same every time. Anyway, I'm excited about the next episode.

Good episode again.

Well goddamn son, Hiei has gotten so hecking powerful, probably stronger than even Yuusuke... Well, the third out of four was taken out easily, good change of pace. Good episode.

Miserable death for Byakko... I am joyful to see however that Hiei is changing slowly and the show focuses on that when it's happening - epic vengeance. Super fast fight compared to the previous ones! Kinda low for the last beast guy to be aiming for hostage..

after the unbeatable byakko hiei just killed the next one that easily?

and though i like hiei development, it still feels kinda forced.

Byakko after this episode can already be considered the character that has the most resistance in the entire anime.
The speed at which Hiei defeated the enemy was impressive, it just shows how strong he is, especially when compared to Kuwabara.

The beginning with Koenma was the highlight of this episode because that fight was quite anticlimatic and Kurama doing his wikia talking was more annoying than the previous episodes.

So I assume Keiko watched the movie and now she's stuck in her own zombie film.

Although Hiei's development is explained more plainly during and after his fight, that was quite an episode! Definitely one of the most visually impressive so far.

Only one of the four beasts left to go, but Keiko's in deep trouble at the least opportune time. I do appreciate the occasionally frightening designs for the zombie people. Perhaps we don't get to see enough of the city in chaos, but certain scenes like the last section with Keiko in the school help a lot.

Good episode again.
@FMmatron I agree with this assessment. The villains are very corny and they border on cringe. Though the main characters are so charming and interesting that they make up for it. Kuwabara especially has a lot of charm. Normally his type of character would grate on my nerves. I tend to not care for men, but especially the macho type of dudes that are head strong and just rush into battle. Though he has so much guts, a respectable honor code, and he's so funny. He's also charismatic in that even in his pathetic moments, he doesn't seem like a loser. The villains are lacking, aside from Rando so far, but the main cast more than make up for it.

Kurama giving his praises for Hiei and how much he changed made it sound like Kurama is homosexual. Not that I'm against it, but I can't relate, so it's a little cringe.

She got him back. If you understand the characters well enough, you'd know she did!

I always like it when a show/manga has the balls to spend a boss goon on a single quick fight to show how strong a hero is. Hiei could've fought him for an episode and a half like everyone else but got the job done in half an episode instead.

I do also really appreciate the team building of the series this time around. I forgot how steadily the guys all learn to like each other.
