| Hmm sudden twist in the series. I didn't expect this. The show went from a comedy/school anime to a kind of fantasy/action series? Well I hope it turns out well. People here are saying that the best arcs are yet to come so I will be looking forward to that. This anime has only 3 episodes left, so maybe I'll pick up the manga. I didn't like the bad guy in this episode. Come on a 13-year old evil/insane genius who is the leader of the disciplinary squad. Bleh. Personally, I don't dig such bad guys. I also thought that the other three members of the student counciil would be able to defend themselves. There are also some other setting issues which are bothering me. Why can the Disciplinary squad kill students and the students council without getting in trouble and actually for no good reason at all? Does the school board just permits this? Are the student in class 13 stronger than the board and is that the reason why they can't do anything? Who the hell would want to go to a school where they can be killed for violating a minor rule like eating in the hallway or making too much noise. o.0 Well I hope that I can get some answers in the next episodes about the situation in this very special school. Or I just have to ignore these crazy settings, cause after all it's anime xD P.s. Medaka needs a weakness. She's too powerfull right now. |

| I'm gonna say this to people who only watch the anime & are hating Medaka's "perfection". When it comes to physical (body) & mental (intelligence),you guys are right.She's seemingly perfect when compared to normal & special characters,in the manga.... But she does have a flaw.... All characters have some form of a flaw.Flaws don't have to be obvious or the some as other characters. |

| The real merit of this series is it's over-the-topness and the outlandish special abilities of the characters that will be introduced. The exotic abilities are reminiscent of nen abilities in Hunter x Hunter. The power level of the characters can even make Kubo blush. Also, most of the characters that have been already introduced are not what they seem to be. Same for the school, which is far from being a regular school. Unfortunately, it was all disguised first as a crappy school comedy, then as a crappy battle shounen, just to troll people. The real stuff comes much later. In fact, real Medaka Box hasn't really started yet. The second genre shift has yet to occur. And it won't happen in the first two seasons (even if they will be a second one). |

| I was OK with the first genre and though I'm usually not big into battle shounen, I'm fascinated that we may yet see another shift coming up. Not worth changing the score yet, but we'll see where it goes. And frankly they've given second seasons to a number of shows that are much worse than this (coughcoughHorizoncoughcough). |

| don't worry about the "side characters", unlike most shonen anime medaka box' side characters are actually significantly strong and comparable to medaka - as does medaka have her own imperfections that are revealed later i also love shiranui but the arc she plays a part in more probably won't be animated(hope it gets more season) ;_; vice president is my favorite character, if they show the class 13 arc i may be able to die a little easier >_< lastly, i loved the art for unzen's scene in the classroom, i was a bit disappointed with the colors in earlier episodes but this was great |

| This episode kinda made me realize that the people in this academy lack logic. I don't think singing too loudly deserves death. Nor how does Unzen think they will learn their lesson if they are dead. And, why did Medaka insist on not fighting Unzen after he killed the entire choir? Seeing as she is supposed to be a good person and help anyone in need, but I guess if you are dead she wouldn't want to help you anymore. And why does nothing happen to Unzen for killing those people? Is it so normal at the school that nobody is bothered by it. Nor do the police for that matter. Nor do the choir's parents, or at least that's how it looks. I don't comprehend why people would want to go to that school if you could get killed for as something as trivial as singing loudly. Also, the aftermath of Unzen's massacre was to censored. He had blood on him but no where else? They better have a pile of bloody corpses in the Blu-Ray release. I might understand censored the dead bodies, but they should have at least keep the room bloody. Also, I'd like to see Unzen kill those boys and girls in the choir. It might make more of an impact.. ;) I know that I'm reading into this more than I should, seeing as senseless death and things not being explained is normal for anime. But, I was one of those people who hasn't read the manga (until episode 9 to explain wtf happened...). So when this anime changed or started to change genres I was quite shocked. I thought this was a Romantic Comedy, until episode 9 where people started getting killed. |

| Unzen is genuinely terrifying for a little kid. Well, I guess only these types if characters can really have a chance against Medaka, if only a tiny one. Very interested in her relationship with Shiranui, didn't expect their complete hatred for each other. Final scene was great, Medaka on the bike shattering the chains was a real inspiration. |

| Okay, okay Medaka Box starting to show me a little bit here. This does all come completely out of right field though,but I prefer this type of series more than how the series has been. Also Unzen is a dumbass "HURR DURR overboard justice is murdering innocent people who have done nothing wrong (student council). Yeah I'm so righteous killing people for making too much noise". There's no way anyone is stupid enough to think this way.That's why I refuse to believe he actually believes what he is saying and he's just power hungry or something of the sort. |

| For a second I thought the brat actually massacred the club...If only he wasn't voiced by Paku Romi...He is the kind of villain I would love to see defeated. I get the feeling that the series' final boss will be Shiranui though. She was scary at the beginning of the episode. Looking forward to it though, I believe she would make an awesome ending villain. Medaka was great in the episode as usual 4/5. |

I didn't think anything about Unzen was clever, interesting, or epic. I was substantially more interested in the dynamic between Medaka and Shiranui in this episode than anything Unzen had to offer. Until this point, I've found Medaka Box to be a pleasant but not great show, and this episode didn't really do anything to change that opinion like the majority seem to think it will. :) Yeah i feel the same. I was a lot more intimated by Shrahui going all evil talking to Medaka that by that shrimp. Btw this is school right? WTF are this people doing in a school? Aren't they kids? Wtf was with all that? Where are the teachers and Principle? Sure we had unrealistic events before but they where still kept in the realm of anime school funny stuff. | Oh yeah this is what Medaka Box is really about I am assuming. That was fucking awesome, and Medaka is holy hell incredible lol. Damnnnn she's too good. And I suspect Shiranui to be as pro as Medaka except in her own way. Guess I should go start reading the manga soon. Can't wait for next episode since it seems like that disciplinary committee president is going to actually get involved in this. And I gotta feeling hes not gunna be able to stand up to Medaka's strength. |
