| Well it hasn't been done in anime that I know of (I might be wrong) But that was done in X men.... kind of. With both of nightcrawler's parents being women shape shifters..... Izumo doesn't seem evil to me, and as far as I know DV in Star wars was (That's going by having seen the first movies- and not haven seen any of the newer movies)....so it wouldn't really give me the DV or Star Wars vibe. They'd been messing with our -(most of us I think anyway)- heads so much though that I started wondering at one point if he and Alicia could be Silvia and Apollo.... but then I scratched that idea as being too far out. But after the last episode and all of it's strangeness..... I'm starting to think that any thought wouldn't be too far out now... I usually don't curse (And no, it's not that I'm a goody goody) just not something I normally say but......... The phrase that comes to mind when thinking of this season is that it's a big Mind-Fuck. |

| Well there is a possibility that's so far fetched that no one would want to accept it... Remember how the false Aquarion was able to attack through time itself? Perhaps after Alicia becomes unfrozen, she becomes a man and goes back in time, impregnates herself, etc etc.... It is a possibility seeing as Aquarion's powers are endless as long as Apollonius is one of the pilots. Otherwise it's based on the powers of the ones inside. I think I have an understanding of Apollonius' elemental power... the power to create powers... Aquarion doesn't merge the pilots powers, it creates new powers based on the pilots inside. Aquarion is a part of Apollonius so the ability to create new powers is part of Apollonius' powers, I believe Edit: Prohomiez said: I look forward to it every week but each episode just drags on and on, it lacks the impact the first season showed. Every episode in the first season makes you want more whereas this season just makes you wish it was over with already. I think I need to rephrase that... Last season kept making you want more, and you would rewatch it when more wasn't coming out. This season makes you want the next episode, but your desire to rewatch the other episodes diminishes with each view.I don't believe that btw d00m, I mean sousei being 3x better, aquarion evol is alot better then last season just these new episodes are worst then before I still love evol, it makes my week to be honest |

This got to mean that probably the protagonist is lacking something... or perhaps its just the refusal of his fans to acknowledge the truth: Kagura is a good character, anti hero or not and he is listed as MAIN, not supporting. 5 seconds of him give more impact than 5 minutes of Amata. I know it hurts but the truth is, even if Kagura dies, becomes evil or stays alone and miserable, he still gets to be more popular than Amata. Now move on and be happy, it must really be pretty exhausting to post 20 times in 20 episodes how much you hate Kagura. But if you want to advance to the 21st time to next episode thread, go ahead, because your comment wont change Kagura´s popularity. for someone who thinks of him as "plot device", you are paying too much attention to him. I'd say make a separate male and female poll as well because guys are more likely to vote for girls and vice versa... it's hard to grasp what someone likes without giving them multiple chances. Another thing, Kagura has an edge of popularity just by being the antagonist. In all the times I've seen series, anime and manga alike, I've seen a general preference toward antagonists over protagonists. That is to say, people will like bad guys more than good ones. |

I dont think people dislike characters like Amata, otherwise they wouldnt be always the same and wouldnt be the main heros. People do love a goody two shoes boy as main, but in this case, Kagura got more popular not because of his personality, but probably because he is not indecisive in a love triangle like Amata. The love triangle definitely lowered Amata´s popularity. Also, I just disagree with you again. Kagura does have the "seme" vibe, I know it since iam a yaoi fangirl and I couldnt be happier, but it is not surely because of that that people draw him the most on their fanart. If that was the case then Shrade would win, since he gives a vibe of being totally gay for his best friend, a situation that does not happen with Kagura, since he has no friends and has only a female interest. If the favorite list counted "shit" than Lelouch Lamperouge would not have 20368 favorites on MAL. Why not choose the other protagonist Suzaku? you´re deviating from the point: I agree with 10 favs being nothing if we compare that we have 30 or even 40 characters that we usually love, but those 10 are meant to be your top favs (when you´re forced to choose, your heart guides you and those 10 are really your 10, you know xp), so in Aquarion people had the choice to choose which guy they liked the most worthy of putting him in their favs, even if they liked both, you´ll like one better than the other even if the difference is small. More people chose Kagura and that is a fact we cannot dismiss. If the fav list counts as shit, than ALL MAL ratings and lists of anime and manga popularity and top that appear on this website and that I see every week to see their updates, count as shit too. I rather not think like that since we´re talking of the opinions of thousands of users and their choices. I do not need a poll, that poll eventually will arrive in Japan, usually after the anime airs, they make a poll of popularity. But Ill keep my statement that i do not agree with you regarding that, and much less on the artwork. People that are artists dont go randomly and say "there are a lot of characters, who should I draw?" and go for a random one. No. Fanarts take time to make and usually are dedicated mostly as a sign of love OR interest on that character or characters. If you love Zessica the most, you wont go make a drawing of Mikono just because you dont know who to draw. Fanarts and artwork reflect popularity of a chara, series etc. Why some anime/manga has thousands of doujins while others have perhaps a dozen or none? Its called popularity(for good or bad): the more fanart/doujin you find of a series/character posted by different users, the more it means that certain series/character is popular. That´s my honest opinion, but ofc, Ill take yours in consideration,lol. Now I do agree if polls were to be made, to be split in girl/boy, because its like you say, boys will have the tendency of voting in girls and vice versa. I bet Amata would win the poll, since Kagura fans run away from these threads afraid of being flamed. It would also be interesting to see the most popular couple, but well, in that one we would have to include yuri and yaoi too XP Well Kagura is clearly the antagonist, but Ive seen the two sides in anime and manga: sometimes people like the bad boy, other times they hate him. If Kagura was a heartless bastard that killed everyone or killed Jun for instance, I bet now he would not have a single fan. He would be like a second Mikage, and Mikage seriously lacks fans. Kagura has twice of the haters that Amata has, yet, he seems to have twice of Amata´s lovers too, so I would say Amata x Kagura are really close in popularity. Rephrasing...People do not always like the bad boys, people like the bad boys who show another side besides that one. And that´s Kagura. It does not piss me off that he has haters flaming him, everyone has the right to complain, we are free. I myself complained about Mikono several times. what pisses me off is his haters quoting Kagura´s lovers all the time and flaming the fans like if it was a sin to like him. | Favorite lists that are restricted like MALs tends to hide the true details behind them. What's even worse is that people can freely make multiple accounts and buff who gets more favorites. Another thing thats bad is that because accounts can be freely made, places like 4-chan can easily bend the popularity of something. With so much bending, and other things among them, what is seen as popular can be skewed. Artists are constantly being asked to do art for others as well... so it's hard to say that fan art originates based on just popularity... it is kind of random, not entirely... of course people draw what they like, but also what is asked... Hell my friend hates pokemon but back in the day i asked for a signature with pokemon in it and he made it for me... I'd say the amount of people completing an anime tells how popular it is... but favorites can't really show that. :( Ratings get skewed easily... and the fact that people don't use a uniform way of rating makes it impossible to tell what 1-10 mean. Apart from the fact that Kagura is all over Mikono's smell... he gives me a yaoi feel... he doesn't reject what Mikage does at all... :\ If they made a guy poll... would they add MixY? :P haha (I wonder...) If I had to choose my favorite guy and girl... I'd say Shrade and Alicia... Second would be Mikage and Mix. (not paired of course) I really don't care for the 4 mains. They have aspects I both like and dislike but they don't appeal to me... I used to like Apollonius taking over Apollo though, you could feel the fire of the sun coming from him! :D I love seeing all the haters complaining, it makes me smile. I don't get it but haters always hate for stupid reasons... They're hypocrites too. They say they hate 1 character for it but in another show, a character with the same stuff, they're overjoyed with the character... Lets see... | This show. Once again. They delivered something as absurd as a gender-bending planet so straightfowardly while still making sense in context. I think I just realized something too. It's not that this show is amazingly absurd, it's just that I've never seen anything like this before. This is completely new to me. Holy crap. |
