I will not take that To Love-Ru slander above me lol, show’s just not for you bro.
And that was an interesting finale, so not much ended up happening with Naori’s night visit to Jun’s home, she made a good attempt with the bath thing (those glorious baps lol) but Jun is a skilled slippery bandit, he got out of there before she could seduce him, nice lol, wild that Naori could make a Friday the 13th reference right after that tho, one of the reasons I could never hate her is for stuff like that. Camping trip is where shit got real tho, kinda sad it was just for half the episode when this kind of event is usually for a whole episode or even multiple in this genre, but I’ll take it as a short anime finale. Things got very spicy there, seeing the twins go at it like that really brought me back to the first half of the show, I have enjoyed the second half up until now but I will admit I’ve been missing the drama lol, no one’s face was spared this time, funny how the dramatic anime slaps didn’t even work here tho because they just kept going at it anyway lol.
But after the twins vented at each other, and also double slapped Jun lol, they came back down to earth as Jun spelled out for them why he can’t simply choose one of them, and I really get what he means but it’s true that it makes him sound like a jerk lol, I guess the harem route really isn’t a possibility, so only time will tell who will win Jun, whether it’s one of the twins or some hot minx comes along and steals him away, my vote is for the secret Kamedake sweep lol. And the very last scene was a nice place to end on, I like that it showcased most of the side characters we’ve come to know and the main love triangle/polygon, the twins may bite each other’s head off from time to time but at the end of the day they’re sisters, Jun can’t be a nail driven between them for too long before they inevitably clash again lol.
And that was the spicy twins anime, I guess it didn’t go the School Days route after all huh lol, dodged a bullet there. I’m glad I came back to the summer season of 2024 for this one, would have loved to have watched it alongside the other great romance anime of that season but I’m here now at least. And now I can see why the score for this show is so low on MAL, looks like most folks were not into this one, kinda sad to see honestly, I found myself really liking it even when the drama died down after the half way point, just really had a good time with it. Drama was fun and spicy when it was happening no matter how questionable some of the decisions were, I really enjoyed the characters of the show, even if I’m not on team Naori I still found myself loving her along with the side characters, Kamedake without a doubt was one of my favorites. The humor was also pretty good, really loved the amount of references even if I didn’t get them all, and the show also just looked damn good most of the time, pretty much no complaints at all on the production. Yeah maybe the ending could have been better, maybe something a little more satisfying, but with this being a LN adaptation that’s usually not gonna happen, but I still loved the journey getting here so I can’t complain too much, OP and both EDs were also really good, I especially loved the strings version of the ED, the episodes where that one played really helped with the emotions coming off an episode.
And in the end, yeah I can say I’m still team Rumi, Naori may be super fun and relatable for her nerdy interests, but Rumi is more my type and also didn’t do stuff that kinda pissed me off lol, I really liked her, I also just think she’s the best match for Jun. I’d absolutely watch a second season of this, I really hope it gets one someday, and that ROLL2 continues making anime because imo they crushed this one. |
