Firstly it was a great anime and I'm happy that a second season was announced for January 2025, secondly what was the worst episode this man was, he goes back to the past to try to solve everything for Tinisha when he discovers that there is no way anymore go back to his married life with her, so Oscar sacrifices himself so that his loved one has a peaceful life man, I cried a lot even though there were spoilers for the anime because man how sad it was to see that despite everything he did, Oscar couldn't stay with her longer.

This adaptation was a total mess but the source material seems alright. So atleast it was somethwat enjoyable specially the relationship between Oscar and Tinasha.
After 11 episodes of (rushed)buildup they finally get married and boom they rewrite everything.

Oscar sacrificed everything for Tinasha just to save her in her worst moment. That's true dedication. I don't mind the ending specially knowing s2 coming.
Maybe everything gets better in s2.
Okish show solo carried by romance other aspects and world buliding is trash 6/10

Why would anyone keep such a dangerous magical object unsecured?

What the heck? I liked the show and the characters, but I absolutely hated his decision to change her past in such a major way. He selfishly undermined her personal journey that eventually led her to become the woman with whom he fell in love. If he really loved her, he would've returned to the future and allowed things to play out, knowing that she had the strength to overcome this horrible betrayal. Aside from that, he also wiped out the lives of his friends and family. It's an unbelievably stupid ending.

@KANLen09 don't worry only bad shows get a s2 so naturally we'll see one for this. honestly what the fuck is wrong with Japan? good shows cancelled but shit like Re: monster and this trash gets a continuance, I really wonder if it's a Japanese ritual to drop their kids on their heads as babies.

Meanwhile, Konosuba is waiting another 5 years for the next season to be adapted (probably)😒.

While an orb suddenly appearing and getting Oscar teleported was a bit of an asspull I don't blame him for saving Tinasha but at the same time her experiences are what made her and what led him to fall in love with her soo maybe he shouldn't have meddled but it is what it is I guess. Regardless, I knew there was a price to pay for Oscar going back in time to save Tinasha from Lanak but for them to not exist together was tough to take as it essentially means that them meeting and getting married was possibly for nothing.

However, with season 2 (or cour) announced I'm wondering if a new timeline involving both of them will occur so I'm a bit optimistic. I still mostly enjoyed watching this despite the rushed storyline and I'll watch the next season/cour. 7/10

Good series -- the rotten direction and script prevent me from evaluating it better. Unnamed Memory Act.2 will resume the story in January 2025.

This episode alone, like EP1, was a masterpiece. The rest are... you know what.

So this is where they got the name for Unnamed Memory, where they rewrite the past for a new one. RIP Oscar.

In the 2nd act, even if the 1st season was definitely, annoyingly rushed, I can't wait for it to be aired, as I want to know more of how they will end this series, even if it's rushed.

Of course, we have mixed feelings about this series. Who doesn't...

Aeti, being lonely again... What will be the outcome?! I can't wait to find out.
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

From what I heard, they skipped hundreds of pages from lore and world-building to actual developments just to get to this point.
It's not much of the studio 'rushing' things, rather it feels they just want to get to the 2nd season sooner (S2 coming January 2025).
I took a peek at the manga adaptation; and even though it is just pictures/drawings, I felt the battle scenes were a lot better than the moving anime. But to each, his own; and this anime has a lot of disconnected developments - I didn't have to read the LN to feel there are things skipped and omitted and they didn't even try to make new things up just to fill in the gaps.
But enough ranting, this deserves a 6/10 at best and I will still watch the 2nd season anyway and pick up the manga (and maybe the source LN) to support the original work.

Well, this finally got properly interesting, just took the whole fucking anime. I understand they skipped A LOT of content from the source material, but given how this ends, I guess Act.2 will be much more interesting.

It wasn't a bad anime, necessarily, but god damn it was rushed and generic.

I'm convinced that LN must be very good, but the first anime adaptation was not happy. We know that it is impossible to bring a story to animation in its smallest details, (and we don't even demand it) but it was apparent that this first season needed more episodes.

Even if, as commented below, the impression that remains is that with the result of this episode, everything that happened lost all relevance, it was still relevant to the audience who invested time and emotions during the session, and the audience deserved the plot was better taken care of than it has been so far.

I'm hoping that for the next season the script will be better elaborated, so that the key points that will be taken from the original story are better tied together and don't leave so much the impression that the narrative is being as rushed as the first season was. Tinasha deserves better than this.

It's a season that I thought deserved a score of 5 or 6/10, but only because I became a devotee of Tinasha, and only because of her, I'm going to give it 7/10, she's a good witch and a good girl, and I feel obliged to encourage her. That's it, see you in Act.2. 🖤💙

Man, this show could've been so good from what' I've heard.

I think this episode by itself was good, the title of the series makes a whole lotta sense now too, but this episode would have been even better if they handled what happened before it well. Instead, we got an abridged version that reduces the impact of the story, characters, developments, etc.

This ending intrigued the fuck out of me though, so I'll definitely watch act 2, when I was aversive to the idea before, of watching a potential sequel for this show. At the very least even with the reduced developments, I still ended up really liking Tinasha, Oscar a little too.

In summary, we got the short end of the stick. I'm mixed with the show. 5/10

beautiful, it made me a little heart broken but happy in the end.. because i assume the hardship she went through in the "original lore" is actually her own rewritten history that she is going to do as shown at the end of this episode, hundreds of years of suffering, to find her true love again, so romantic!!!!!

Can we just pretend episode 12 doesn’t exist for now? I liked the show, don’t get me wrong. And I mean, sure, there were issues with the plot and pacing throughout, but overall I liked how it turned out, at least through episode 11. Episode 12 undid everything I enjoyed about the story and while it’s great that there’s a confirmed second season for them to redeem that ending, I just don’t know what to feel about it now. Maybe reading the LN would make it make sense?
@Eyes2blue here is my theory, what happens in episode 12 is what actually happened before episode 1-11, at the end of episode 12 you can see tinasha laying down and says that she can rewrite history, and i think she made it so that she will go back in time and get sacrificed without oscar saving her, suffer, and all just to finally meet oscar again, while doing this she will lose her memory, thats why when she sees the blue orb in few previous episode she felt like she's seen it before, and thats also why she says she is fond of oscar even though she isnt sure why and eventually fall in love with him again. and that is why the anime is called unnamed memory, because everything that happened is an unnamed and forgotten memory that happened before again and again, episode 12 is important because it explains what the anime is actually about. but anyway i never read the novel or anything, this is my theory based on whats shown in the anime.

@Romer you get it, it was mediocre until the last episode everything made sense and why its called unnamed memory, people are shitting on it without even understanding it, its so stupid, the LN readers being disappointed is understandable, but as someone who doesnt read the novel, i think the premise itself is already so good and romantic.

@mayoiko you are absolutely right. I also though about the title of the anime at the end. I don't read light novels and for me this anime has something that moved me. None of the other animes or this season did it.

The studio did a terrible job adopting this. There is so much content and context, and tons of world building flushed down the toilet. It's totally ridiculous that such a studio hire incompetent people to come up with such a mess.

"Everything can be rewritten" WDYM? Is season 2 like only about Tinasha as she is only one in the poster, about her queen life? Wtf? Finally when Tinasha realized her feelings for Oscar and finally they got married and now this happened, why would you touch that freaking orb just to erase everything .__. did it bother Oscar that much the fact that Lanak sacrificed Tinasha and caused her tragedy by that? When S2 announced and i hadn't seen this ep i thought it will be about their happy married life and they leading the kingdom together but no? Is season 2 kind of like a solo arc to satisfy those who didn't want Tinasha to end up with Oscar? Whyyy would you do this 😭 all the effort and their emotions erased? Well that's a huge plot twist and certainly interesting episode and i think Oscar looked even more fine during this episode 💕

I almost dropped this anime few eps ago, but I'm glad I didn't.
It was so predictable and slow until this last episode.

Sure, what they did here was way too sudden and they could have executed it better, but still, this is fresh.
2-3 eps ago when I heard that "after this fight lets get married" I just hoped they're not going the most typical way and one of them dies, since the anime kept showing potential all the time but also kept wasting it I was honestly worried they would do that, but I'm glad they ended up doing something out of the expectations. And they even droppped hints in the form of the story of time traveler and the anime title. If they executed it a little better it could serve as a fine ending by itself. But they just rushed it too much and not only 2nd season can save this anime.
This last episode still managed to get the final score from me from low 6/10 to strong 7/10 just for shocking me and also touching the time travel and playing with fate motif that I like.

2nd season should be something totally different. Hopefully it will be fully set in this alternative timeline, and the roles will get reversed with the Queen-MC seeking her man at the promised year. The case when neither of them have memories of each other from the 1st season and yet one of them fallen in love with the other anyway for a new reason instead of due to the memories is a great setup for something fresh that I have never seen before. If only this anime had better pace and control over the tension it would be really good. The potential is so high that even this poor execution got a good score from me.

11 episode was a good ending for a 5-6/10 anime I would easily forget. That last ep is the plot twist that was necessary to actually turn it into something good. I just have a feeling that they will once again resolve this in the few episodes of next season and the rest will be boring prolonging.

I saw the S2 announcement and immediately knew I was skipping it. Then this very interesting episode aired and now I’m slightly interested again. This season started off intriguing but got confusing and non-linear from episode to episode. Some of the middle episodes still make no sense. If they made the entire season like the first few and E12 it really would have been terrific. The middle was a hot mess.

ok wtf was this episode lol
i mean, i loved every moment of him in the past, talking with her and stuff, but i'm not exactly happy with the ending scene

maybe i'd do the same, so maybe i can't say anything but... feels bad that he literally deleted the future timeline, just to prevent the stab, it means she didn't get hurt , but the betrayal is still there, she will still be alone (?) and the one thing she had to look forward to (knowing oscar would be her husband) is also gone, so i'm not too sure how much better her life would be lol

the kissing scene, i see people complaining... i mean sure, maybe it wasn't needed (a simple hug should be more than enough), but it's not like he did anything other than kissing his future wife and it's not like he forced her to do anything lol

anyway, i'm not saying anything that wasn't said dozens of times before for this anime... the main duo was good together, we can see that the light novel must put a lot of effort into their relationship, but the anime just skipped a lot of scenes in between each episode, we went from barely talking to random kisses in an episode

seems like this season was actually a prologue (and maybe that's why they didn't care too much about rushing it?), and we already have season2 announced, so let's hope it goes well

as for this season, since it was obviously such a bad adaptation, i don't think i can give it more than a 6
