Well, The Unique monster also don't respawn after they got defeated so I guess the whole NPC dies permanently isn't shocking at all. Maybe the area boss also follows the same logic but they can respawn because they just get replaced by another individual from the same race.
From the game perspective I think Emul is not that important because there's a whole kingdom of Rabbit that can replace her anytime so the quest won't be lost but as individual Emul would be gone forever if she is killed.
The Rabbit Kingdom Quest is something that many other players accepted but they don't get the unique scenario here because none of them had the Lycagon mark so if there's another player carrying the same mark there will be another rabbit that guiding them instead of another Emul. NPC can die forever is only make them more special for the player actually, so I kinda understand it.

| @Zirkfector Emul is daughter of Vash though. That alone should make her quite special. Well, it's possible Vash has lot of kids, nonetheless probably not anyone from whole kingdom would do. |

The voice is high-pitched, as you said, and it also exacerbates the issue that she tends to speak in a shouting tone, or at least, in a way I perceive as shouting. This is far from the first series or film and character I've done that for though. I can't think of them all off the top of my head, but sound mixing and decibel level not being received equally has been a thing for a long time. I used to blast music, TV series, etc. on a very high volume indiscriminately, but then had a serious illness affecting my hearing (not from that) for a period of time which rendered my hearing super painfully sensitive for about six months, and even though it's been years since and it's gone completely back to normal now, I'm still more cognizant now, intentionally or not, of when a certain volume level and sound source is spiking uncomfortably. Whether from something onscreen or elsewhere out in the world. |

| So she wants their help to take down a unique monster? I'm curious why their low levels won't be a problem because I would imagine that they would be a problem. At least Rei is making some progress. Not much but it's something. |

| Rei was very cute in this episode. At least she got to talk to Sunraku. Also, the NPC dies in this game now is giving me a bad feeling. I hope everyone stays alright. |

Using the bosses own lair to kill it was clever. Also Pencil Knight's answers to the questions at the end amused me quite a bit.

| That rabbit screaming at the end was so damn annoying. I'm watching this shit while my gfs asleep at like 2am and it just started this absolutely grating screeching.I now officially hate that rabbit, which is funny because the older boss rabbit is the coolest thing about this show, and probably the only reason I'm still watching. A mixed bag of rabbit appeal in this anime. |

| Well there we go, on the very first scene a party of other players. I've been looking for them outside towns. Anyway, what a fucking horrible game design. Npcs who die won't respawn? What the actual fuck? That makes sense on a single player rpg not on a fucking mmo lol. Realism thrown out the window for drama. |

| I'd imagine people would get so attached to NPCs only for the latters to die, that would be very problematic for some gamers. |
