Did Andy just go Super Saiyan 4? In all seriousness those are some sick abilities for a concept as seemingly simple as being undead

Thought the conclusion to Spoil would have more fanfare but seeing the Union in action is pretty hype

Well, the Union is here to try to save the day. This is crazy, Spoil was like a final boss with two phases and, afer all that , there's still another fight vs. Dark Andy (or Vikhtor, in this case). This brings me Dark Link vibes.

@seanjeet1 what? The pacing is so much better compared to the last two episodes though

The slow and awkward farewell scene with the kids; the assistant saying the coordinates like it’s a poem recitation. The unnatural intervals between people talking.

Maybe it’s better than previous 2 episodes, even if that’s the case it just went from shittier pacing to shitty pacing.
@seanjeet1 I think that’s just called talking, maybe the language UMA’s fucking with you dawg.

Huh, so that's what Shen's negation does. It makes sense but I feel like it was more abstract than I thought of initially. Also, the condition to be fond of his target as well, not going to figure that out either.

Regardless, with Andy's new super human form more questions arise and it feels like this wasn't the first time it was set free. Is it that powerful? We'll see how they contain it.

So the fight with Spoil went from end boss to Andy transforming into Victhor and dismantling him. Now it looks like most, if not all, of the Union members are involved, interesting.

Everyone talking about super Andy, but I'm stuck on Shen's reveal. Untruth? Really? That's a stretch for the abilities. I was certain he was going to be Uncertain. Maybe it works better in Japanese. Needing to be fond of the target was also a weird aside. How are we justifying he's fond of Spoil? And why bother to have that narratively? Guess it makes for a connection with how Unluck functions.

Wonder if the author is fan of DBZ. Because Victhor sure gives off some mad Goku SSJ4 vibes.

Nice episode though not at the same level as the previous one. Why does Shen's power require him to be fond of the target tho? And why would he be fond of Spoil? Just because he was a formidable foe?

I hope Andy beats them all mercilessly, then spare their lives just to show them who the strongest in the group is. Strike fear into their hearts.

I thought that when he removed the shard from his forehead, he would only gain the full extent of his memory, but to see an entire transformation in the form of a new personality; is outstandingly surprising.

Idk if the other episodes were like this, but the pacing and animation, especially in the fights was kinda bad in this.
Don't get me wrong, what was happening was cool, but it didn't have the effect i think it should have.
It was so slow at times and battle scenes which seemed like huge deals were lacking so much.
Expected more from David Production. Maybe they are saving it for the next episode when the fight continues.

@Bio Yeah, I feel like "Untruth" doesn't really make any sense, it implies way too broad of a meaning.
I think "Unintended" would have been way more accurate, since that's literally what his ability does, unless there is more to it than has been revealed.

Victhor is quite the menace. He dealt with Spoil without even breaking a sweat! With his great power comes a great cost as his goals seem different from Andy's. So tense now that the union is here ready to deal with him (and hopefully bring andy back!)

I agree with the sentiments regarding poor animation & pacing.

Everything felt stilted & slow, and pacing with the drawn out still frames, flashbacks (we obviously need more sunflower scenes, duh!), extended recap and staring contests didn't really do this episode justice.

It's also odd that taking out the card in his head didn't make him turn into Victhor in episode 1. Some people suggested that maybe it's because he only had it out for a short period of time in the first episode, but last episode showed him switch to Victhor almost immediately when they got into space. It doesn't really make sense, but I can deal with that.

What also doesn't make sense to me is that he suddenly isn't affected by other negators or their abilities. He's "Undead," so why does he suddenly have extra unrelated powers just because he regained some memories & swapped personalities? He's obviously still Undead, only with an expanded range of how he uses those powers (like regenerating/transfering bodies from any detached limb), so why does he also gain the power to just ignore all the other rules & effects?

Seems like a Blackbeard One Piece situation & the man has multiple devil fruits. I would assume the series will explain this later, or at least I hope it does.

@THE_BigDingus
For your information, Victor did get affected by other negator abilties, he just tanked through them all and overwhelmed everyone so hard that people didn't notice it.

When Shen negated his kick and punch, you could see that Shen tried to parry them, which was a known Shen strategy where he baits opponents with an opening and then parries because they try to hit the opening and instead hit into a parry. Problem is, Victor just overwhelmed Shen so hard he couldn't even parry it, so Shen's negation still worked, but Victor just didn't care.

Same for Fuuko's unluck, because she dislikes Victor, her unluck wasn't very strong with that short moment of contact, but it still affected him: you saw his wound where the card is normally lodged ache and hurt Victor, which wasn't much, but it still showed that unluck did affect him. It was just so small and short that people (including the characters themselves) didn't notice it.

Victor is just so overwhelming that people think the negation powers didn't work.

@Xeflogna Is all that true, or just a theory? It looked as if the powers didn't work at all.

Fuko's unluck powers should still have a much more substantial affect, otherwise people she doesn't know at all should basically suffer nothing from touching her. Episode 1 when she first met Andy, her unluck powers still affected him pretty strongly & quickly. With Victhor, it was basically nothing. Not saying you're wrong, it just didn't seem that way when watching.

Also, can you explain how he suddenly has NEW powers beyond "Undead?" Is it a One Piece Blackbeard situation like I guessed in my original comment, or is it something else?

I wouldn't really call it a theory if it's literally what happened in the anime 1:1

Problem is, people she doesn't know she doesn't feel much about, but Victor is someone she actively hated after she saw how he hurtled Shen, so that would already diminish her unluck power. Not to mention, that wound twitch might look like nothing, but for Victor that actually hurtled more than him breaking his bones and losing his body parts, cuz you actually saw him twith and complain about it even though nothing else hurts him.

And what do you mean new powers? It's not really new powers, it's just Victor basically doing a showcase of what Undead full potential is, which Andy can't yet for spoiler reasons

Very good episode, so we had already seen Viktor before (first episode) now that I see what he can do... I think he used it unnecessarily, they were just some people with katanas and we saw more difficult combats where he did not use this ability but well....Andy does what he wants haha
NT for Shen and we will see how the rest of the members contain Viktor
PS: The staff reminded me of DB's sacred staff (Dragon Ball) and what's more... Viktor's appearance reminds me of Raditz or Cumber

Super saiyan Andy lol.
Must admit, pretty cool that he gets to fight the whole shebang now, but if they had all of them on standby couldn't they have just used them to beat Spoil instead; he seems like way weaker opponent than this SS4 Victor...
