I think you are misinterpreting. the original language is Japanese however I get that more people watch it in English. I think you are a bit naive.

I think since Netflix(?) made this the quality of the dub will be a lot better than traditional dubs but maybe that's just my opinion. The dub for this is very good and the characters talk like actual humans.

Dub, as it uses the in-game default language of English, which includes specific catch phrases to that universe. The sub sadly doesn't work in that retrospect.
The location it takes place in is also America, so the mannerisms will also be American instead of Japanese; therefore, it makes more sense to watch it in the Dub.

Lastly, they also speak Japanese in the English Dub during certain segments, so you'll lose out if you just watch the Sub

I mean I think a big part of the series is how realistic the language is- no censoring, not shy with curses, and very informal. I watch in English coz It better conveyed the casual yet intense dialogue

You're asking this on MAL, you're going to hear overwhelmingly from subtitle elitist. personally I preferred the dub, felt more natural to me. Sub is by no means bad however! It's up to personal preference here, if you're really unsure which to watch. Watch episode 1 in Sub and rewatch it again in dub, or vice versa, see which you prefer!

definitely watch this in sub. studio trigger, the animation company behind this masterpiece is a Japanese company so the voice acting will line up in sub. Even if the game it's based on is originally released with English acting.

This show is an exception considering the show is based off of the video game and was honestly used as advertisement for the game. This show was meant to be watched in English Dub. Every other show I agree that sub is better, but not here.
