Frieren is alright, but not my cup of tea. It's between 7 and 8 for me. I'm not that into fantasy and Frieren couldn't change that. Also, I found few characters I truly liked. I still have a few episodes left.

It quickly catapulted itself into my favorites. Maomao and Jinshi are so perfect. I can't wait for the next episode of season 2

Your favourite new character from recent anime? That makes total sense. I like the way she was written, she isn't a tsundere. She is a caring person at heart and they really focus on her intalligence. I like that she is a little bit cold/indifferent towards Jinshi, she is a really refreshing character.

Solo is an all action anime, so if that's not your thing that's fine. But yes Orb is spectacular! It's finishing today :(

I don't think so. Those kinds of adaptations are not popular here. Mostly the older generations go to the theater and I doubt they know much about anime

That’s great to hear, really glad you’ve been doing well after a rough couple of months :)) and I’ve been more or less ehh, I’ve been burnt out from school but I got accepted into two out of the three colleges I applied and I got my cap and gown for graduation!

I think the last section (children -> teenagers -> adults) is the rockiest to me, and 7/10 is decent considering I barely give positive scores nowadays with a 5.8 mean score heh. Still a good watch though but my biggest complaint is with the characters >_>

The last things I remember giving a high rating is Barakamon (9) and The Aquatope on White Sand (10) but Barakamon was back in January while Aquatope was last month, so safe to say that I really don’t give out high ratings often lol

I see, thanks! Yeah, it is an actuality so it hits differently. I was planning to rewatch Spirited Away because it was back in the cinemas for its anniversary, but sadly I missed it. At least I could watch Howl's Moving Castle a few weeks earlier when that was on program, it was wonderful! And to my surprise, somebody I know performed on a small classical music concert with 2 other artists and one of their songs was the film's theme song! (I don't go to these concerts but wanted to see him play)

I would rather watch all my anime that way, but some shows like Solo Leveling require me to break that cardinal rule.
I've also been skipping a few weeks here and there for Orb on the Movements of the Earth. The show is better for it.
I'm tempted to start season 2 of Apothecary Diaries now, because I miss Maomao, but I must be strong!

Well then you're welcome :) Not yet, I'm waiting for the second season to finish. I watched the first one in about 4 days, so I figured let me not torture myself.
