They're being monitored by idk how many cameras but Tokio still managed to see the babies, but im sure that they're maneaters. That footprint is gonna be a trouble.

The Fish got killed by moisture or something else, which was hilarious, less work for Kiruko & Maru. Shiro has some serious problems when it comes to girls, like holy shit. I'm not even sure if Mimihime knows what's happening. I thought Tokio was weirded out by what happens in that facility but apparently not because he wants to be touched by Kona. RIP Tarao?

It was an okay episode for me personally.

On the one hand, I have trouble seen Tokio as a girl, but today's episode confirms it. Lots of sexual interest awakens in the kids. I wonder if having actual sexual relationships is something this anime will depict.

On the other hand, the "babies that don't have faces", I think, are prototypes of human-hunters. I mean, those aren't human babies at all.

Solid episode. So looking one of the cameras it Does seem to mean that the year that the facility plot takes in is Tengoku 17 (t17) rather than 2023.
It is pretty evident that the "babies" are the maneaters because their blank faces have the same circular patterns as the maneaters. But this pattern is also seen on around the "throne room" of the old director lady, potentially the symbol of the organisation.
So these homunculus babies, do they supposedly bond with humans and then take them over from the inside like parasites? Or had the baby touched Tokio would it have just started absorbing him as seen previously? Are these babies the source of the supernatural abilities or something that's less related to that?
I am curious what Tokio's power is. Because he was imperceptible to the camera's but not in an invisibility kind of way, but rather as if he froze the camera's because when he and his frog friend got into the hatch the hatch didn't open on the camera display. Tokio can mean time in Japanese depending on the reading so I wonder if it has something to do with that.
Also this episode made me remember when Tokio complained to this artist friend like "why did you give this drawing to this other girl", and the artist responds with "I'll make the next one for you". So could that mean that he can tell what sort of maneater a person will turn to down the line, as if he can see into the future?
I don't really know but it's fun to theorise and dissect the bits of information we are given from different angles.

So Tokio cant be seen by security cameras. Seems like the children have super powers and maybe that place is where they breed the monsters.

I don't think it's Tokio not being able to be seen by Cameras because

As for the babies, I think

With the information that this place seems to be a man-eater baby factory, I wonder if the human kids are being raised to act as food for the man-eater babies. Or maybe it's a project to see how a man-eater/human team or partnership could work if the man-eaters were brought up in a lab.

Sleeper of the season. Amazing visuals, great soundtrack, epic world building and apt pacing. I love the way the slow burn mystery is unfolding. I do wish I could binge all the episodes though, the weekly waits are painful.

They didn't skip it...this episode covered content from chapters 11-13. The thing you're referring to is from chapter 17. It'll be in an episode or two.

We got a lot of development for the institute kids this episode, plus Maru and Kiruko killing a fish monster with the power of weed. It seems like the scientists are trying to create Man-Eaters for whatever reason with those creepy babies, and Tarao's warning at the end illustrates that the facility is definitely dangerous for them. And then there's also Mina (the AI) saving Tokio and Kuku by hiding their presence on camera, which makes me wonder if she has her own master plan. Overall, a solid build-up with all the mysteries before the chaos.

Damn, that was a good episode.

It had everything, fight, drama, romance and lore, 10/10.

Marijuana saving lives, as always xd.

I have the suspicion that the "babies" were not human babies, from the shape of the face and the eyes of the human hunters I would say that they are some kind of offspring of the latter.

Why doesn't the camera capture Tokio and her friend? That's weird, too much.

Everything indicates that they are in some kind of facility commanded by an AI or something like that, but on the other hand, despite the fact that they control the behavior of the children, it seems that they have already begun to reach puberty.

Finally, why did her friend tell her to flee to Tokyo? Why does he think that place is dangerous?...

This anime has a lot of L O R E ahhhh

i think they are taking the powers from the kids and somehow giving them to the growing man eater babies which could explain the stretchy arms of the fish or the invisibility of that tardigrade looking monster

Another interesting episode. I read the comments and I have no idea if the events inside the school and the events outside are in the same timeline but it sounds like they're not. Regarding the "babies" that Kuku showed Tokio, besides maneaters, I think they may be creating "super humans" by combining modified DNA/RNA or something like that, hence people like Kuku that have super human abilities (she looks weird too that may be a result of the DNA/RNA modification).

Regarding Tokio evading the cameras, it's probably someone or the AI that is hiding that since the camera that showed Kuku and Tokio going up the large wall to get inside didn't show them but the shoe print that Tokio left behind in the room will probably be a problem. The connection is getting closer between what's going on inside the school and outside with Kiru and Maru.

A very interesting episode, and one that provided a lot of intrigue for later on. There's definitely a lot to theorize or think about, especially in Heaven, where there's a lot of exploration going on, for us the viewer, and for the characters in play. It seems like the sexuality aspect is getting tackled, and it's getting tackled in quite a nice way, with no cheesy melodrama, at least for now. The natural instincts of sexual desire is kicking in for some, but for others, like Tokio, she still seems a bit averse, or actually, maybe confused is a better word to describe it. The cameras that the staff are looking through to gaze at the children gives the sense that there's a lot of experimentation here, and the mysteries pile up with the Mimihime picture thing, and also Tarao's illness, that he seemingly won't be able to recover from. Perhaps a parting word to Tokio from Tarao will give Tokio some wariness of the place she resides in.

As for the outside world, the fish creature was quite a creepy sight, and the way that Kiruko and Maru defeated it was quite smart, and props to the show for thinking of methods like these to resolve conflict. This show continues to deliver in intrigue and visuals, and I only imagine it gets more interesting from here.

This chapter brought up so many vibes from many other iconic animes:

- The outside world, especially when Maru and Kiruko eat the "meal-replacement" bar and cook it into some kind of rocky road reminded me of Girl's Last tour.
- The inside world made me think about The Promised Neverland from the very beginning.
- But now, with the special abilities from the children and their natural behavior inside the facility, it gave me strong vibes from Shinsekai yori.

How is that a weird choice? It's realistic or very plausible at the least. And it does, in fact, help the story (and tremendously so).

This is the first time since the beginning of the anime that I am interested and invested in the "inside the walls place" as I am in Kiruku and Maro's journey. They gave us several answers to some questions, and at the same time opened the way for many other questions. I got intrested in so many characters from behind the walls, such as Kuku and her ability to climb the wall, Kona and his draws, especially that we can see the similarities between the fish he drew in the first episode and the one that attacked the boat, the unusual relations we began to see between the children ( the thing that I think, and I may be wrong, has something to do with Kiruko's brain changing in the 3th episode ). Overall, this anime is getting better everytime and I am so invested in its story. (I still see that the way Kiruku knew what's in the room on the boat to defeat the monster not convincing at all).

Does it?^^

It's just my opinion, but I would be perfectly fine with a little Walking Dead-like survival Anime, without someone almost kissing another Kid, or talking about some sexual thing, every single Episode. Regardless if it's realistic or not, you now. It's just 4 Ep's now. But if that's the case for the full 13, I think it really is a weird choice bringing the stuff up so persistently^^

But that's just me. Maybe you're right.

Bro discovered Seggs but his interpretation of love is Kidnapping your crush tear off their clothes & licking them up

How do you get to that conclusion in puberty without watching Corn... He prolly never even played with his Chunchunmaru

If it rises instead of the shield hero, he will prolly scream. Why are all these students horny at this school shouldn't they be doing their homeworks

Tokio almost got molested by Tarao who's prolly dying of hornyness in that hospital bed, poor guy doesn't know Tokio was giggling for another guy (ಥ﹏ಥ)

This is why seggs education is important and they say we're the horny ones.

A strange fish monsters weakness = the devils lettuce!
Also this monster looked like the drawing that Kona made previously...

When Tokio was breaking into that place the cameras didn't seem to be showing her, so I'm guessing someone or thing was helping her? But who and why?
Those "babies" looked really weird. Seems like they could be the starting form of the monsters or something?
Guess it is another mystery to be solved.

Wonder what sort of disease Tarao has.
They probably know something is up after giving that ominous warning to escape the facility.

I just noticed this because of the ed that the drawing that Kona drew was that Fish looking man eater which we defeated this episode.

That establishment always had a bad vibe to eat and ending it with that cliffhanger and i think the babies actually become maneaters.

But why are they doing this and are those monster babies made out by mixing something with the real babies?
