So, i first started watching anime when i was a teenager, stuff like Slayers, Yu Yu Hakusho, Dragon Ball etc., the usual but it took me a while before i decided i don't care what others think and dove into anime like it was my full time job
I started with shonens as they are the most mainstream anime genre but very quickly broadened my horizons and found out that CGDCT, Slice of Life, Iyashikei and other relaxing genres are what i prefer the most, i will still watch other stuff like the aforementioned shonen as well as seinen, suspense, supernatural, action, isekai here and there, romcoms etc. etc.
The genres i do not really enjoy are self inserted protagonist anime, gore and some horror but i will watch those on occasion, probably out of morbid curiosity
Except harem, i can’t stand harem, that tag is an automatic no from me
I do appreciate fan service and ecchi too, like any cultured individual should 😁
I am a casual yuri fan as well

I am also an avid manga reader and collector, i love collecting physical manga releases and while my collection is still kinda small, about 250+ books, i am slowly but surely expanding it every month
It kills me inside every time i finish some great anime and find out that the manga was not published in english 😭

I like people who are honest, to others and to themselves, who are not judgemental and mostly laid back
On the other hand, i don’t like the meta slave gamers who judge everything by numbers only, usually copy it from someone else instead of coming up with stuff on their own and mock anyone who doesn't play the same way they do, people who obsessively ship all the characters they can, present their headcanon as facts and get angry when you disagree with them...
Oh and messy eaters, can’t deal with those...learn to eat like a human

For people who are concerned about my "high mean score":
I watch anime for enjoyment, not ratings
I am mostly watching my favourite genres of anime and so i give them high ratings
I am not pretending to be some self appointed critic who dissects every little detail, if the anime genuinely made me laugh, cry or feel something, it gets a 10 from me for pure enjoyment, simple as that
Sure, good animation, OST and story is always welcomed but it doesn't affect how high i rate something
Hopefully that explains it somehow
