| The premise seems a bit cheesy but I think I will enjoy this! I'm not entirely sure why they decided to make the hair of all the characters shine, it's an odd artistic choice to say the least, but other than that I enjoy the artstyle, which is uncommon as far my personal knowledge of anime goes. I don't think this is definitely a rom-com. There might be some subtext and blushing but I think it'll mostly depict them as just friends for the most part, but as for how the tropes of the genre usually go it does seem to be a reversal of the usual trope of shy-dude and confident-girl duo that we usually see. Definitely one to watch for this season, it simply looks like a lot of fun and wholesomeness is ahead! |

| Cute show. The MC did come from a small school where we can infer no bullying happened, and he comes off as a sheltered individual. I don't think it's out of the question that hes' clueless or doesn't have a full understanding. The other idea that he knows what's up and is trying to be nice is also possible. |

| Why does this anime remind me of Kimi Ni Todoke lmao but its something else instead. Oh well at least this anime starts off with an energetic person known as Takada who's an transfer student, apparently people are calling Akane an Grim Reaper for some sort of reason, prolly they think that's classified as funny, anyhow Takada is all energetic and loves to meet the Grim Reaper knows as Akane, in the first episode Takada goes wild, he actually shows that he cares for Akane, Akane only blushing all the way through which was wholesome to see, I really dislike the bullies already but who knows, perhaps they will change. The dodgeball scene was funny to see though, they all wanted to throw the ball against Akane but Takada came into the rescue and tried to help her and he got an ball against his face, Akane noticed an paper on his desk still and wanted to give it to him but she didn't want people to start rumors about them if she walks into the nursing room, instead Hino went in there first to give him some food etc, Akane waited outside for probably the rest of the day until Takada noticed that and it looked like he wasn't happy but ofcourse his energy came to play, he was actually sad that she didn't came to visit him, which made Akane blush again, he recommended to talk some more and drink water, stay hydrated. The next day came and they saw that they're now called "Mr & Ms. Grim Reaper" on the board, knowing Takada he didn't care at all and was happy, until Akane told him that its probably not meant as an joke and then he realized, I think, the episode ends there. I must say that I love the way this anime is animated, I'm actually interested how this will play out. |

| Good lord this was cute, I nearly didn’t pick this show but after tweaking my Spring 2023 list I threw it on there and I am very glad I did, I really liked it. The bullying from the other kids is kinda sad to watch but Takada is about to change Nishimura’s whole world and he’s already made waves with her in this first episode, I especially loved that scene when the two were about to walk home, Takada just gassed her up in front of those kids, making her get embarrassed and it was very cute lol. I noticed Takada is a bit of a chuunibyou too with his talk of third eyes and barriers lol, but he’s so outgoing you almost don’t notice it, it contrasts well with Nishimura. And we got a very good OP and ED combo, and I immediately fell in love with the ED, seeing that it’s by Kitri explained it, I’ve only heard their EDs for Komi but they were phenomenal and this is yet another amazing song with great visuals to go with it. I’m really looking forward to more of this one, it’ll be a nice wholesome way to polish off my Sundays. |

| Now I understand why it's called My Clueless First Friend. It's the true definition of cuteness and innocence. The scene where they drink at the nurse's office is honestly so cute and warm. Also, I think it's the purest nurse's office scene I've ever seen in an animanga so far lol. Since it's a romantic subtext, I don't mind if they will have a crush on each other one day but if they stay as good friends then that's also very nice and sweet. The ED is really nice. Mr. & Mrs. Shinigami.... |

| Well, that was an adorable first episode. And 3 shows into this season, have I already found my favorite ED? Well, it will be a top contender for sure, I absolutely loved the Ed, both the music, and the visuals were stunning. |

One thing to keep in mind, he said that in his old school, there were only 30 kids in the entire school, and that probably includes middle school, so he most likely came from a rural country town, and there were maybe a small handful of kids his own age, several older, and a few younger. So, while he may have seen light teasing between friends/classmates, it is very unlikely he has ever seen anyone being completely ostracized and bullied by the whole school before. So, he is quite literally ignorant of such behaviors, because as he said, he was friendly with everyone. Just my thoughts. |
| He is definitely clueless haha. Well, it looks this is his first time watching someone get bullied. He said he was friends with all of his classmates in his previous school so I guess, he thinks everyone is always nice to each other. Anyway, that was a wholesome episode! Looking forward to watching more of this! |

| It's good timing that I started watching this series not too long after I started watching Kimi ni Todoke. Nishimura and Sadako are pretty similar in a way here and since I'm really enjoying that series, it felt fitting that I would enjoy this first episode of My First Clueless Friend as well! =) The episode itself was pretty wholesome and heartwarming. The simplistic visuals do go well together with this type of series and it was full of cute and funny moments as expected. The OP/ED songs and animations are also well done, too. Of course, I'm not too surprised that a few people would be a little concerned since bullying is shown right from the get go with how Nishimura gets teased constantly, being called the grim reaper due to her looks. I feel that it's too early to jump to conclusions with those concerns just yet. While Takada is pretty clueless in some regards, the scene where he defends her from the 3 boys who were trying to invite him before teasing Nishimura was a good way that his clueless helped make the group of boys look pretty stupid. Plus, the fact that his previous school only had 30 students, which reminds me of how tiny the school in Non Non Biyori was, he'd probably has his fair share and experience of being around with other students either older, younger, or the same age as he is and the problems those kids go through at certain points in their school life. Kids can be a little clueless dumb at times, but they can also be sharp witted and very good to spot things that doesn't seem right, although this will vary from one to the other in general life. I think this problem will be dealt with more often down the line. For now, I see this as a comfy and cute series with Takada and Nishimura. It's a light-hearted start with barely any drama and that's fine the way it is. |

| Since Takada's last school only had 30 students and he was friends with all of them I can only assume that the concept of bullying is unknown to him. (Or maybe he's mentally challenged and doesn't understand what's going on around him.) I'm looking forward to seeing Nishimura leaving her shell. |

| Poor, poor Akane. Kids can be such assholes. Takada sure is a guardian angel for this girl though. Akane VA sounds so cute. Turns out she's Chika from Kaguya :D |
