A great episode. Animation is worse than season 1, but the comedy is still very funny. Taking care of a baby is a real pain it seems, I have to thank my parents for dealing with my shit (literally). Manager is a really wise woman, her take on the matter is most realistic.

That stylish look fits Emi really well. She looks pretty in those clothes and that hairstyle. I'm guessing that guy at the end is looking for Alas and the woman is Alas' real mother, sending her child away from the dude to Maou.

Based on her monologue on the first episode "where did you make a mistake?" assuming whom she means is Maou, she must be an acquaintance of his.

Chiho is such a huge darling, too sweet that I'll be upset if she never find happiness.

As for Alas, she's strange. Anyways, the whole set up was odd from the beginning.

You know what's more annoying than kids? Grown ass adults being okay with a child thinking they're it's parents and going along with it. How is that good for anyone involved? Including me? That is fucking stupid. I spent this whole episode shouting at the tv. I'm giving it one more episode to get its shit together and that's it. Adding a random baby is never a good idea. If I wanted to watch babies in anime form I'd be watching a completely different show.

This family is really coming altogether. Love seeing wholesomeness in the show. Papa Satan is gonna be working hard from now on. He knows his responsibilities. Good boy. Emi is a good mama. And, everyone else is supporting them which is good.

Everything looks good in this episode but somehow my feeling when reading manga doesn't really exist in this episode, maybe I really shouldn't have high hopes for this anime can give me a warm feeling when reading manga hataraku. To be honest I hope only in this episode feels different from the manga or I'll be disappointed if this continues.

Yo, Takehito Koyasu is now part of the cast! Some garden of eden theme here hence Alas Ramus arriving in an apple.

Was the white haired woman from Ente Isla spying on Emi and Satan too?

A very cute episode as they continue trying to learn about alas ramus and take care of her. Usually this plot would have the people the baby latches onto getting closer, but it felt more like Maou and Chiho got closer. Especially now that she feels less like a burden to him and instead an equal. Excited to see what the armored warriors goal is, and who is coming out of the giant gate at the end.

Hopefully the whole season won't be focused on raising this little shit. I am fcking bored with such plot, I would prefer the MC to strive to become the employee of the year or start his own business ๐Ÿคฃ Well, I guess I've seen too much of this type of story before and I'm just bored or burned out by it

Alas Ramus and her cuteness are a force to be reckoned with. Not even the stoic Suzuno is immune to her adorable cuteness, which made Suzuno go all ga-ga over her. X3

While the episode didn't have as much comedic moments as I would like, seeing the characters do their best, through trial and error and taken in advice from others with more experience, in looking after Ala Ramus in their situation. However, the peace isn't going to last as Lucifer felt the presence off a gate opening, which should be that group shown towards the end.

I do look forward to seeing what happens next. =)

Something I miss from Season 1 is the excellent backgrounds and camera work that really fit with the mood of the moment. It really drew you in further and made for better drama & comedy. This episode was just zoomed in on the face talking in a way that would have been genuinely boring for me if I wasn’t already sold on the characters & story.

I don’t remember Emi’s va acting this hammy in S1.

There’s less subtlety than in S1, when Alas Ramus demands her parents take her out and Emi straight up in front of everyone asks Chi if that’s okay with her—it really seemed like something S1 Emi & Chi would’ve turned into a sidebar conversation.

The ED has a lot of Chi in it. I’m not an LN reader, but it really seems like they’re desperately trying to pretend she has a shot at ending up with Maou which is a little sad.

The change in artistic style is still jarring and unenjoyable.

On the upside: Emi’s fit and general look by the end of this episode was a sight for sore eyes.

New drinking game for this season: take a shot every time they say 'Alas Ramus', and try not to end up dead by the end of the episode. I'm really hoping they end up shortening her name to either Alas or Ramus at some point. Hearing everyone saying her full name every single time feels incredibly strange and it's beginning to get on my nerves.

Lmao I love the thought of this game—I’m getting annoyed by this as well tbh

They're getting along well with the baby it seems like when it comes to taking care of her even though her cries are getting annoying sometimes xD But I also like how it's developing leading to a mother father and daughter date even though it's supposed to be fake but I can see Emi already pulled out the best makeup and clothes... obviously there's also something bad on the background for them

Well... kids being kids I guess. *WAAHHHH*

LOL

___ ___ ___

Well, besides being a crying kid like pretty much 90% of other kids... Ramus is pretty cute at times.

The entire episode is pretty much focused on the new Loli that pop'd out of no where.

And Chi went and bought shit tons of kids stuff... and apparently poor Ashiya had to look after the kid all night, LOL.

Then afterwards Chi brought the kid to visit Maou... and get scolded about having a kid and highschool girl going in and out of Maou's apartment... LOL (manager be right tho)

And then they end up with having bunch of tickets, tho Yusa seemed to want to go as a "family" since she DID bought three tickets.

___ ___ ___

Seriously tho... why didn't they just go as a group? they have SIX tickets...

And just as the "date" seems to be going pretty smooth with no issues...

Something else is about to happen as a "gate" is opened again...

This season feels nothing like season 1. It’s devoid of originality and comedy. Not to mention the child trope has been done a trillion times.

I totally agree. While s2 looks more clean on the surface, the generic and bland animation style as well as the direction they are taking the cinematography of every scene makes the slapstick humor this show had, not “slap.” Why are all the characters so expressive? Maou and Suzune are literally smiling from ear to ear in some scenes when they were never like that in s1. Giving them so much emotion makes it difficult to pin them for the short-jab sneaky humor that they had before. Generic baby arc does not help either. Just unfortunate to see how far they’ve drifted from the sitcom-esque style that the show originally had, which while not necessarily unique and original in the West, was refreshing to see in anime amongst the flood of generic isekai-genre shows. Rant over lol

Honestly, my only real complaint is what was said earlier in the thread; saying "Alus Ramus" in full was just kinda repetitive and got a bit annoying. I am enjoying the character interactions, though. So far, I'm enjoying the new season, but I feel like Episode 3 is going to determine whether this new season will kick things into gear or not.

Why is the animation quality so low?? And why, why the snivelling kid? I did not want a childcare anime, I want a Devil creating some mischief part-time! Seriously need a break from the toddler girl characters between this one, Anya and the kid from Yakuza Babysitter.

Also is it me or are the kids proportions way off? I don't know how old she's supposed to be but her limbs keep growing and shrinking from scene to scene.

Ramus-chan appearance was sudden, it's just that seeing Yuusha and Satan become mama and papa, it's not bad either. Chiho-chan seemed to be jealous, but yahh more screentime for Emi, wasn't bad either.

Taking care of a baby is not an easy thing, what is clear is that they need baby equipment such as diapers, wet wipes, and many more.

For some reason even though I feel that Emi and Satan are the best couple... I feel Chiho-chan is holding Ramus-chan and taking her around to meet Satan at Mcd as if the two of them are already married, i mean Satan and Chiho-chan.

Besides that Manager-san's moment is so cute, seeing his response. Besides, is it a ticket coupon Emi? Tokyo big egg town...

Either way I saw a stalker, lol. Or is it just hmmm... Okay, this eps are so sweet really like Satan x Emiii

Honestly, this season feels like such a Red Herring...

Though I cannot say why.

I've got nothing against Emi but I find it far more cheap to use a child to get two people together who are not romantically interested in each other.
