To avoid spoiler, the true identity of the four-arm is a certain character that has already appeared. If four-arm's VA is shown without any censorship then everyone will know who he is by looking for duplicated names on the list.

The old OP was so good compared to the new one. New ED is good
As for the story I think it took a new turn when they revealed enemy too has the same type of power(reminded me of Jotaro's dialogue lol)
4 armed dude is amazing, he shouldn't die too soon

The new op is good... I guess... it had such a shonen-y feeling to it. But the new ending tho. It was great. Compared to the bloodshed that happened at the beginning of the episode, the ending had a nice calm tone to it.
Graduated High School in May of 2022. Summer vacation has finally arrived. I have once again regained the power of a new anime fan, being able to watch multiple anime episodes in a day. Time to binge-watch every single anime I can into the night until college arrives. SADGE. SUPER SADGE... College has begun as of Monday, August 30, 2022, so you won't be seeing me much around these parks. See you on weekends, I guess... School me is back. Sigh! I'll at least try for one anime a day with all this course load.

I mean not Point concept looping dude... Looping in other anime like stein gate, rezero, Kakkoku, or other time traveler anime much be seen... but why the author makes the enemy so strong like has the intelligence about looping too.. that makes the story be unfair scene.... if you much watch anime you must know the story with a big struggle is loved by otaku... and in this story, the only way to defeat the enemy from information has being countered.. so why I didn't hype for this situation.?

sry for poor English and I didn't watch Higurashi
U can enjoy the show as u have not watched Higurashi from where Summertime copied
I don't see how Higurashi copied Summertime Rendering. It's a completely different type of show.
How does them not watching Higurashi effect their experience watching this show?

Sorry if I sound rude. I'm not trying to be.

New OP and ED are good but a step-down from its predecessors.

STR's new cour starts off with another banger of an episode. It was about time the enemy revealed dome of their own cards and of course, its looping. Would be exciting to see a fight between two loopers. And ofc, its Hizuru backstory time.

nice new OP & ED!
oh man! this is getting so intense since Haine also has the power similar to Shinpei!
Ushio is really quick this time on doing the reset by cleanly beheading Shinpei oh gosh!
looks like more revelations incoming!
Young Hizuru already met Haine in the past? hmmm confusing for me...
5/5.

The previous ED was much better, but other than that 2nd half is off to a great start. How the heck are Junpei and Ushio supposed to win tho with such a huge handicap.

Not to reveal the identity of the 4-armed shadow, I guess? Because the anime will explain this later so they decided to censor it.

I'm really sad to see that many didn't like the new opening, and I loved it,I really liked more than the first.🤣🤣
But yes, I agree that despite being beautiful the new ending is inferior to the first one.
About the episode: for me it was good as always, and seeing Haine anticipating Shinpei's plans since she can also do loops was tense and I'm really curious to see Hizuru and Haine's backstory.

The villains are so overpowered here, it's too scary.
As things are now, they can't redo the events from last loop.

I was surprised when they tried the same actions as in the previous loops, but it backfired.
I don't like that Hizuru always dies in the most gruesome ways.

Now Haine and Shinpei can ruin their plans with every new loop forever.
I was surprised by going back 14 years to the past scene and how is it even possible?

Not feeling the new OP and ED nearly as much as the last. A lot of action sequences in the OP as well. I hope the show doesn't turn into a battle shounen brawl where we slap some shadows around and somehow kill all the big bads. This loop mega went to shit though. They have to be very careful what they do in subsequent loops. This flashback arc should be cool though.

My main point was not that both hero and villian have loop power.Main point was that Summertime heavily copied Higurashi.Without that both hero and villian loop powers, Summertime still copied looping of hero,Village setting,Festival significance, even that same insect sound is used to Oblivion...So obviously if anyone has not watched Higurashi then Summertime anime will definitely feel like a masterpiece

As someone who has watched Higurashi, I didn't even feel like it was similar. Looking at it now, it does include similar ideas, but it's a different kind of story.

I don't think saying they copied is the right word to use. The author was probably just inspired by works that they have watched / read, and incorporated similar ideas into their story.

I know its a anime, a story so we need to give the protagonists a fighting chance but if the shadows wanted to win they wouldn't gloat about being able to loop as well and keep their enemy guessing. Got to let the audience know about this information though as well so I'm not going to complain too much. Will just accept that the shadows are that arrogant, villains usually are.

Hizuru was a rather unpleasant kid. I thought guilt split her personality, but with Haine involved I now think it's possibly 2 souls in 1 body.

Basically, we went from Shin and Ushio having a good chance of defeating the Shadows to essentially having no chance. At this point they just have to get lucky when they spawn in. Without a good roll that new loop is probably fucked.

Hizuru hates crowds and writes books, she definitely seems like best girl to me. Hopefully wherever they end up during the next loop it's before she gets got. It'd suck if Hizuru ends up dying and being unable to be saved. She died pretty quick after the new loop after all.

I guess the next episode or two will explain Hizuru and Ryunosuke's role in the story? As well as maybe clarify what their "dual personality" is?

Well u definitely didnt hold any love and affection for Higurashi series thats why U didnt even realize that copying..There is very little innovation or creativity in Summertime manga and hence very unpopular...But Summertime **anime** has very high quality animation, music and anime will definitely become very popular later..

Damn, this just keeps getting better and better! Insane!
So many things to try to guess but it's tough, but one thing is sure, they have to get all together and think of a plan.

Also, Ushio again is the best girl.

I do love Higurashi though. I still stand by what I said.

The show did give me a bit of Higurashi vibes, but I didn't feel like it was copying Higurashi. The stories do share similarities, such as
, but other than that, they're not that alike.

In my opinion, it doesn't matter if you've watched Higurashi or not. It won't impact your experience and enjoyment of watching Summertime Render.

Mmm that giant shadow is so brutal, yo, it has no mercy in its strikes. I don't believe I've ever given credit to this series Good coherent storytelling.

Wait, has Ushio always been able to impart the memories of her previous loops onto other people? I thought it was awfully convenient how, with a single handshake, she was able to completely win over both Hizuru and Nezu in this episode.. But I might've just forgotten.

That's how S. Ushio showed Shinpei and Sou what happened at the beach when Shiori and Ushio died in Ep 9.

I was expecting they will get some difficulties, but holy cow, that 5th loop didn't last nothing. Now Haine also can be there in every loop with all his memories? That's crazy. This is so good!

So even Haine started to loop, things got a lot more harder now. They already had it hard but the difficulty just got so much higher. Wonder what approach they'll take from here on.

Good to see more of Hizuru, her backstory is certainly interesting.

New OP,ED are both nice but the previous OP,ED were so good and fit the anime so well that these two can feel underwhelming compared to those.

Well obviously it's just too good to be truth to happening when Ushio holding the plan to erase Haine frightening guardian and then making it more easily for Shinpei to defeat evil loli.

But at least there's something new here, oped ofc, then people from the past whose told the silent history where all the shadow sickness story comes from. Oh, don't forget about Shinpei parents too!

Hell, even evil loli was there too with no memory of her other side that trying hard to catch up Shinpei and Ushio looping where in fact he's hiding under other people memories, not loop into the reality as it's supposed to be.

Alright plot, and let's see what's all this heading for...

First of all, wow the new OP and ED were both very nice, definitely a big tonal shift but they fit all the same, although I wish the OP visuals didn’t give away that much like the first but it’s not that big of a deal. The episode itself was wild tho, it was pretty rough seeing Hizuru/Ryuunosuke get killed so gruesomely right off the bat, but it was a cool scene to show that the bad guys can loop now too, which definitely changes everything we’ve come to get used to so far.

And after needing to loop immediately, we’re now in another virtual reality flashback and we’re seeing a young Hizuru and Ryuunosuke alive, as well as Shinpei’s parents which was really cool to see. And now it’s revealed that Hizuru knew Haine when she was younger, I’m very interested in seeing how that relationship goes. (I’m gonna guess not well lol.)

Nice new OP and ED, anyway regarding the story it's tenser and tenser, so Haine marked Shinpei during the Ushio backstory part and now can track him so that's why the loop got ruined very quickly... though now instead of respawning he's seeing a backstory part of Hizuru with her relationship to Haine back then or even his parents (that I suspected to have been killed by shadows as well)

Ok now this is going kind of crazy, is the way for him to not allow Haine to follow him, just cutting of his arm now? The four-armed shadow having empty data, and as per Ushio, resembling Haine's essence, is just a part of her then? The person Tokiko's father was talking to on the phone also is supposed to be him then.

New OP/ED are fine, but I am going to miss that first ED so much.
