| So like the rest, Filo is also reset to her most basic level, and like Raphtalia if left alone, also being very vulnerable. Naofumi's infamy this time is different: the Vassal and Cardinal Heroes aren't looked eye to eye, the seeker and destroyer of their concurrent world. The descendent of monsters, Boat Vassal Hero Ethnobalt is a stand-out figure to re-birth objects from characters (a la Raphtalia's hair) to make Shikigami to discern their DOA status, and this to Naofumi, is some help indeed. But the Vassal Heroes also have their own enemy: the Mikakage (as with the mage Kazuki last episode and few others) to contend with, but getting Filo is the priority now. And she isn't far: in the Mikakage, being held in the same hostage calamity as Raphtalia once did, being sold by someone aiming to live a buck off of her. Thankfully the "humming fairy" celestial maiden rescue operation went without a hitch, and considering that filolial was not recognized, the Vassal Hero timeline is a much different dynamic. Eh, as faithful as this arc can be, it doesn't diminish the fact that Season 2 itself was a curse to begin with. |

| and here I actually expected Raphtalia to be abused hard, too bad innocent Filo ended in the hands of an monster seller, that felt so evil, she is basically just a child. I found it amusing that Naofumi instantly turned into rage kill 9000 mode. After season 1 he became a lot more angry. Of course it wasn't a challenge to rescue her from evil merchant. Kizuna was happy about being called onee san by Filo, that was so cute, grumpy Naofumi of course shot it down. |

| This episode is very good. Though the series should've had more episodes to actually faithfully adapt it and make it more intriguing. Though the first 3 episodes of this anime will leave you a permanent bad first impression, it seems that they focused more on the last two volume than the first. Not that it's exactly a pro. My thoughts on this episode would be: 1: I feel like the slave merchant's psychological torture was too abrupt/should've been a bit longer. 2: There is a bit tension going on as Naofumi's getting suspected as if he's going to destroy the world. It kinda feels like the same tension from season 1. 3: Naofumi obtained a new shield, which I believe will be very useful in the near future/Season 3 4: Raphtalia has been sold off I think? Compared to the first season Raphtalia she looks a lot stronger and independent. I can't wait for Naofumi to finally rescue her from whatever continent that is... |

| Hehe Naofumi-sama return to an edgy one and Rishia also got a leap of personality to be more edge too when finding out the truth of Filo getting tortured by scum circus owner. Interesting. Also about how Kizuna react to them, and her comment about her role as a breaker, and opener. Kekw. And there's a sage rabbit with boat vassal weapon that can be used as a real floating boat. Interesting episode, very interesting.... |

| why is this show suddenly good again? Why cant it just stay bad so I can drop it and forget about it? I was absoutely not ready for slave Filo, seeing her getting whipped breaks my heart. And I fear Raphtalia will have to go through this for the third time as well. Imagine getting strong, thinking you can defend yourself and your comared only to get ripped from them and getting turned back into a weak child. This is traumatic af. |

| Wow he's also a rabbit, with a very nice ride? Cool! For reasons even I can't fathom, Ethnobalt reminds me of Guru Clef from Magic Knight Rayearth. I was wondering if they'll make a shikigami for Filo but probably not, now that she's been found and rescued. Kizuna said: Eh? You've seen some but it's really just the tip of the iceberg, Kizuna. | I just have to comment because this episode had one of the most ridiculous moments in it. Naofumi finds Filo getting abused and instead of just knocking everyone out of the way, walking right up to the dude and punching him in the face, they decide to wait? How does that make any sense? You wouldn't see me waiting around in that situation. Horrendously out of touch with reality. |

| One day i hope i can see Naofumi just go all out once and bludgeon someone's skull in with the blunt side of his shield. With how things are going it might be Kyo as well lmao, but i feel like they'll probably give him a niche death. I'm happy they got Filo back, sad Naofumi didn't burn the man to a crisp even when the dragon shield popped out. I'm really surprised Rishia and Kizuna were able persuade him to wait after hearing Filo, who he equally cherishes as much as Raphtalia, cry for his help. Weirdly Kizuna's advisors label Naofumi as someone who'll destroy they're world after Kizuna said he was an outsider. Might be Kyo feeding lies to nations to put a target on Naofumi, but might also be some weird world mechanic. Hope they expand on this more, cus from what i remember, people from Kizuna's world (Glass and L'arc) are also trying to end Naofumi's to save their world. |

| This world has a really, really effective and super transparent messenging system going on considering the level of technology. :D My anime senses tell me that Kyou will probably try to turn the real Raphtalia against Naofumi or force him into a "killyourself/let someone else die or she dies" kind of stand-offs. Other than that I just want to say that Raph is pretty cute and I am glad they reunited with Filo. |
