Very fun and enjoyable season to watch. Luke as a Makai Knight at the end was great taking over from his dad and The last scene with Sophie and Sword was the perfect ending. |

Great episode. I was sad at first that Luke and Gina had to make Sophie forget everything since they want her to live a normal life but im glad that she remembered in the end. It's cool she wants to become a Makai Alchemist too! Not to mention I love how Sophie hopes to meet Sword again only to find out he was in the restaurant lol. Great series overall and I'm hoping MAPPA considers making a second season down the line. |

Thank goodness Sophie regained her memories. Seemed like she was having frequent microseizures in the meantime. Seriously, if you know someone spacing out that spontaneously and frequently, make them go see a neurologist and get tested for epilepsy. >_>;; Happy that my theory that Bishop was subtly sabotaging King all along the way was in hopes of King's defeat and gaining his own freedom looks like it was correct. .. I wonder how many people were not told that Sword was "on a journey". XD Maybe he just wanted to take it easy for a bit after saving the world? |

I ask this because he used that same sword against his father in the previous episode. no. it's not the sword that make a Makai Knight. it's the ring that they wear. Once the father died he was given the ring. So far every Makai Knight Armor was releated to a Sword, once the character inherited said sword they could transform, like, for example Alfonso having the Gaia Armor. Leon didnt even had Zaruba for the 1st couple episodes of Honoo no Kokuin. i dont know where Luke pulled that sword from, maybe it was hinted somewhere, and i just didnt noticed, but the sword he used in the fight against Knight was the same he used to transform later. Knight's Armor is different Luke didnt inherit his from him. |

This Garo anime kicked all kinds of ass from beginning to end, which was certainly a breath of fresh air after the previous Garo anime. Great cast of characters. Sword was badass and manly. Sophie remained an endearing and strong girl, despite all the terrible shit that happened to her over the course of the series. Excellent animation and action scenes, fun cast of characters, plenty of gorgeous women. Really couldn't ask for anything more. Well done, MAPPA! Btw, did Gina and Sword hook up in the end? And Mei-Fang has a crush on Luke after all. She sure is cute. |

Wait, the ending brought me a ton of questions wtf, who's that dude in the restaurant? And Fei long is blushing coz of that guy or Sword? Sword was stucked in that world but he's back now, plot armor much? Gina said to Sophie that Sword was out, yet he came out inside the diner, was he banging that waitress? NTR much? Lol 6/10 the ending didn't affect my scoring this is 6 from the start Also anyone know the release order of the other Garo series? |

Your questions were previously answered, but here the answers are again. Dude in the restaurant was the programmer guy from Eden who helped them. (I don't remember his name, but they should've named him Adam since he's the only man to survive/leave Eden. lol) Fei Long is the old dude. Don't think he was blushing. <_<;; The girl who runs the Chinese restaurant is Mei Feng, and she was blushing as a response to gramps saying that she must really like Luke. No denial was cute. :3 Did you watch this muted (and with subs off)? Sword [u]says[/i] as he is coming out door that the diner's Boss made him taste test new items for the menu. (He was coming out of the bathroom. lol) Can not be NTR unless there was an established romantic/sexual relationship that was getting pushed aside. Sword worships all big breasts, but never lays a hand on them as far as we know, so I don't think there's anyone TO NTR. |

A very solid Garo and production value wise it's the best so far but maybe it's because it got my expectations a bit higher than it should've that I'm a bit disappointed, especially with this ending and other things where we seem to get "teased" with the good stuff - stuff that could've been... What I would've liked to see more from the anime: - More about how Sword became the strongest Golden Knight we've seen so far. - devote at least 1/2 eps to show his training, when his sister was still alive, etc. - A more deadly Knight! - the guy just got owned by Sword every single encounter and continues to bloat for no reason. - More about the whole Makai system of the current era. - it was great that we saw a lot about the alchemists with that village but why not go even further and showcase the ins & outs of the whole system. Would go hand-in-hand with showcasing Sword's path to becoming the Golden Knight too. This was at the core of Hono no Hokuin, with Leon, but this takes place in a different time, so it doesn't have to be repetitive! - At least some conclusion to the Gina x Sword thing, fuck all this teasing. - IT CAN BE JUST A FEW MINUTES! Sword can either reciprocate her feelings at least a bit or brush her off with his easy-going attitude as not wanting to be tied down and just mess around would fit him too. Heck, just a few lines could be enough as they'd both laugh it off after(granted, Gina would be sad). Anime is plagued with too many teasers, where you just have to "assume" something happens. That can be fun sure, but it happens so much that it makes one crave for some actual conclusions. That's all I can think of as of now and obviously that'd take extra time and Sophie takes too much of it. This reminds of me 2nd season of Darker then Black, where Suou took up a lot of screentime when everyone and their mother just wanted more about Hei(which wasn't bad if you see the 4 OVAs 1st but still, less Suou would've been fine). This was Sophie's story, as that was Suou's for the most part but there's more interesting things to show. Such characters are fine, but I feel they'd be best as a side character - even if a very important one. 8/10 - was good stuff, but could've been more. |

Those 3 chefs were they a reference to another Garo series/universe? Like something only a long time fan would know, this is my first Garo series and my first interaction to the franchise. It seems kinda odd that they're coupling everyone up, with Sword and Gina at least it makes more sense. Not really a fan of the romantic aspects of the story, doesn't feel like it's needed. |

I was actually kind of disappointed with like 90% of this last episode. Final fight between Sword and Knight was underwhelming as hell. Luke and Gina pull a super dick move and wipe Sophie's memories for no reason and without consent. Sophie becomes some weird looking butch lesbian looking girl in clothes that are 7 sizes too big for her. Her outfit was basically a "what if Swords sister Lizzy was alive and also a lesbian lumberjack". All of the old worn out cooks at the chinese restaurant turn out to be handsome young men in what was the most awkward and unnecessary plot twist of the season. The wiping of the memories thing got me so fucking tilted though. Like, you've been teamed up and traveling with this girl for so fucking long; seen so much and encountered so many horrors and shit...and then this girl pretty much single-handedly saves the world since she's the only one who can. And then after all of that she's rewarded with a memory wipe? And a shitty one at that? I was guessing from like the first cour that she'd either get offered or request herself to get involved with the Makai Knights or Alchemists. While I was ultimately right, I didnt expect them to go about it in such a roundabout and needlessly pointless way. Also zero explanation as to how Sword got out. Kind of a massive plot hole right there just left unexplained for time constraints sake. The final encounter between the two of them was funny, with Sword tryna dip as always, but kind of underwhelming due to the lack of emotion. Also shows that Gina is still a fucking liar. She went from being my favorite character for various reasons to a character I lost a lot of respect for in the course of like 2 episodes. Her new look is also terrible. The only good things to come out of the episode were visual confirmation that Sword is alive, Sophie declaring she wanted to be an alchemist, Luke becoming the new silver knight, and Mei-fang basically confirming she has the hots for Luke. |

She's a Watch Dog, the one giving them orders from behind the veil in previous episodes. She looks exactly like Garm from the first anime Garo, but it doesn't matter unless/until they decide to tie the two universes together. |

Man, what a ride. Maybe a bit exaggerating but I think this is one of the best character development i have ever seen. given its 24 eps, sometimes feels slow and bit boring in the middle, but they don't rushing things. Building it bit by bit, gives audience enough time to digest, up to the point of sympathetic toward the character. Im very satisfied with the ending, every character grown up without losing their own charm & personality, especially Sophie. One minus : the final fight is too short Now where's season 2? |

As expected of the fight between Sword vs. Dark knight. It wasn't as epic and long as it should have been and very rushed. He were taken down in an instant. I would have like if it lasted a bit longer. I be damn, Sophie have grown a lot in only one year. More than one would expect. And also Gina is more sexier than ever. Cool to see Sophie becoming an Makai Alchemist. It would be cool if this Garo had a sequel, though I doubt it. Overall, the animation were superb, the OST were also good. I would have expected more from the story and the last fight with King. This fight was very rushed. Because of lovely animation, OST and mostly epic fights, 7/9. I had a mixed feeling about if Honoo no Kokuin (season 1) or this was better, but sorry to say the first one is still the best. I dunno, the story were better and the characters, especially the golden knight, had more developement. Actually now that I think about it both of them had unique sides that were only good for them, but overall the first season were better imo. |

Honestly I liked the story in this one more than the other Garo anime despite the few filler episodes. It was quite action-packed and I really loved that bike. Almost felt like I was watching Garo: The Ghost Rider. The characters were also entertaining and enjoyable. I also liked the deep bond between Sword and Sophie. The only thing that I did find a little lacking were the battles especially towards the end where it felt rushed. However, I can't believe they let Bishop the guy who controls horrors live. I mean he is still one of the greatest threats to mankind. And the other thing that I found kind of ridiculous is that King of Horrors was a freaking Axolotl. Like c'mon this is suppose to be the most intimidating of all the horrors not some cutesy salamander. Well anyways it was still fun show to watch. 7.5/10 |

Out of 3 Garo series I watched, I like this the best. I also like the characters here better than the other series. The only thing that disappointed me is the lack of silver knight. This series has potential for second season but sadly it looks like it will not continue like the previous Garo series. |

The medieval-like Garo was better at the plot but I didn't really like the chars thaaat much. Also a bit boring in between in the middle. This one I really liked the chars. Main chars and the bad guys (bishop guy was really cool). The background story was okay and the ending nice as well. Could have been better. The pacing was a bit slow and didn't make me look forward to the next episode that much sometimes. But with the nice chars it was still okay and at the end it got interesting. I'd say those 7 for the 2 Garo i scored with 7 were both more a 7.4 rounded down to 7. Looking forward to more of Garo and studio MAPPA - MAPPA are great. Especially the music is nice and they are great at mixing emotional and funny stuff. That scene at the end ha ha. When Sword came from the toilet. Just great. ;) Rounding up to 8/10. If sword was dead and passed down the golden knight to Luke, would've been better. A higher 7, 7(90/100) |
