Definitely some déjà vu from this episode, with the flashbacks and interactions with Amadeus.
Can't wait for next week episode!

I really can't get the logic of that, I personaly thing I will be better to resist to watching this until it is all out & them watch it all at ones, if this will have half the details of the 1st season and the complex structure, it will be a rough ride. like how you cant make sense of the first episodes without the lasts

Because of the 8 years difference. Apparently she is 40 years old in 0 and 32 in the original.
It's the opposite, for me her voice is way too high and childish for cool type (appearance wise) girl like Kurisu.

Oh yeah, she is more high and childish than normal, there I must agree with you.
She sounded like her normal self at the end where Kurisu calls Okabe on his phone.

That moment when Okabe met with Amadeus for the first time and saw Kurisu on his screen... That entire scene was so sad... but also funny at the same time "Shut up Christina!" I loved that.

The hype is real! It soooo hard to wait for the next episode...

Finally, some good CGI, and fits with the theme too. The opening is fairly good, not as good as the other one, and Okabe speaks a little bit of choppy english again!

So far, I think that this is going to be the anime of the season, if not, one of the best of the year

Jokes aside, have you read the VN?

I think everyone is too happy to care about me not liking it, which is perfectly fine :-D
No, but I also never read the VN for the original S;G and I loved every single episode of it both times I watched it, I was not bored even once.
Both of these episodes bored me, and I really was looking forward to this show, too.

Your opinion doesn't hold much weight when you have Evangelion as your dp. Literally the definition of a crap anime. It just seems to me that you're being a contrarian for the sake of it.

Keep dreaming. The Steins;Gate movie has a score of 8.58, and it wasn't even that great. Steins;Gate 0 will probably never drop below 9.10.

Oh you poor naive boy. If you think the Steins;Gate movie was not very good, then prepare for a severe disappointment because Load Region of Déjà Vu is better than 0 ever will be.
Unlike here, the movie had a competent main character who was likable and determined to overcome all obstacles to see the person she loves. No one is slitting their wrists or having morbid flashbacks of blood balloons to make the story more "edgy".

The only major criticism of the movie is that it relied on too many of the same beats that the original Steins;Gate had. Even so, that still makes it far better than SG0 which copies angsty tropes from every other pretentious anime trash out there. At least the movie knew what made Steins;Gate so good.

You can wait if you want, more Steins;Gate 0 for me.

Edit: I made an exception for Steins;Gate 0. In other cases, I’m waiting for the new Cardcaptor Sakura to finish airing, but I’m a big fan of this series and just couldn’t resist.

Some really good developments with solid pacing. Actually seeing the Kurisu thing was pretty great. It's definitely gripping - Steins;Gate is on form once again. I look forward to seeing what happens because I'm blissfully unaware.

Uh, the OP definitely isn't as good as the first one. Some of the imagery takes overlays from episode footage, and is generally more cheaply made than the original, which is a shame because after 7 years they had more possibilities to make it better. Still, parts of it were pretty good and apparently there was foreshadowing which is always appreciated. And the song is fine, I hope it will grow on me (the first one certainly did). The ED was nice, obviously there is a lot more going on in the video this time compared with the first one, which is good. But the song, at least in my current opinion, isn't as good.

OP is kinda meh, i already grown with fatima since i already download and play it multiple times, but the animation doesn't feel in sync for me.

That feels when Okabe sees Kurisu, i can't contain my tears, like seriously.
That Kurisutina outburst is giving me laugh, especially since we get a bit of the long-lost Mad Scientist vibe.

ED is perfect for me, those extreme foreshadowing tho.

And last but not least....

Great episode and it was nice to see Kurisu back in the form of AI. But one thing was for sure, is that Okabe seriously is getting affected mentally by this restored relationship. Hope things will work out for the two. Great OP and the ending was meh.

The PAIN, the PAIN!!!
Seeing Okabe all torn up, this was another possibility.

the realistic one.

After seeing Mayuri and Kurisu die countless time, Okabe gives up...and now he faces a world without Kurisu...a doomed timeline.

And now, the Amadeus system.
this is superb.

I dont quite see the stuff you mention. While 0 is certainly darker and edgier than S;G in general, i dont think the content is as "edgy" as some original S;G content.

Also you basically hate the entire premise of the story featuring an Okabe who failed and gave up for the time being. It cant get worse nor better if you already didnt like the entire premise.

"Lintahlo! Hey boy! What's up!?"
LOL, Leskinin's Engrish is great.

The Maho and Okabe scene was really well-adapted. In the VN, it seemed like they were in the middle of the room the whole time they were talking, but I'm glad they switched it up. And of course the dialog in both were great, especially when Maho broke down talking about Kurisu :/

This episode was so emotional. They know that Kurisu's gone, but seeing her on-screen and talking to her face-to-face makes it feel like she's alive and right there in front of you. Amadues is such an interesting concept.

The tension-lifting points were so well-done. I love the "Christina!!" that Lintahlo did haha.
And Kurisu is tsundere even as a phone app! I love it :D

Only thing I didn't expect was the use of CGI for Amadues Kurisu on his phone, but I guess that makes sense. I'll probably get used to it.

I definitely can't forget to mention; the OP was amazing!! Both the animation and music were superb. I'm so excited to watch the rest of this show! It's gonna be such a roller coaster.

So far so good, I really hope Steins;Gate 0 is as good as Steins;Gate because that's my favorite anime.

I have no complaints so far on these 2 episodes but I do find CGI Kurisu a bit weird but at the same time it makes sense. Can't expect an old smartphone to animate Kurisu the same way when she was alive because that would also be weird.

The opening and the ending was pretty damn awesome as well. So far so good, I really hope this bring tears to my eyes the same way Steins;Gate did.

Watched the opening twice. Had a small orgasm.

The bickering between Okabe and KurisuAmadeus was amazing and him calling her Kurisutiina was so great to see.

Okabe's reaction to the video chat was such an emotional moment that I got a little choked up.

Little worried about Mayuri's reaction to the call at the end.

Mannnn it wasn't supposed to be this way.

I told myself that I wouldn't get super interested in this because I didn't wan't the original Steins;Gate to be tarnished for me if Gate 0 was a disappointment...but now, just 2 eps in, I'm already hooked.

How did I let myself succumb so quickly? Regardless, I'm all in now.

They never met her in person so no, they just heard of her. Some like Suzuha and Daru know a bit more than the others but that's about it.

I haven't read the VN yet. So really excited to see where this goes. It's been pretty damn promising so far. Maho is a great character I've been enjoying. And her discussing Kurisu with Okabe in the restaurant. Got a serious emotional reaction out of me. As did that gut punch of an ending. I don't think the show can rest on the "my dead gf" after feels of the original series. But I have faith it will transcend that. Still really curious about that future cold start from the premiere.
