[center]Hello Citadel members! This is just a newsletter of this month that you can ignore this or delete it from your comments if you don't want to read it. This is the first edition so this will be sent out to every member, but after this issue we'll have a newsletter sign-up so if you want to receive these often you may sign up for that. This is just to notify and update you on the events and editions coming up in the Citadel this month! Please continue on if you want to see the events and editions.
Events this month: The Watching Challenge General Description:
Every two days, a staff or I will put up a anime we have watched. If you have watched this anime or watch this anime within 2 days you get a stamp on a card. If you get twenty of these, you'll upgrade to another card.

I'm not a big manga fan, but that's good to know. I'll probably just stick to the visual novel and anime adaptation when they come out, and perhaps I'll take a look at the LNs later. How good were they in your opinion?
Yo chicken-kun, what do you mean in your chat with Maiku about S;G 0 when you say "follow the light novel"? I dunno about any S;G LNs, but S;G 0 will be getting a visual novel in October or November this year (I posted the exact on the S;G 0 subforum). Not a LN.
It'll be in Japanese though and it seems they won't release a pc version right away. But they've already teased a release in the west and the pc version will probably only be a matter of time.
Is it now? I don't know anything about the sales but I don't think it's that popular tbh. The hiatuses are more than enough reason for it to lose popularity. Do you have any source for reliable numbers? I'm interested.
I don't think it's that hard tbh. There's like 1 long monologue in volume 1 that will be tricky but that's about it, just adapt the monologues in a creative and non-boring way and they're all set.
Well I may be making it sound worse than it is, but so far the movies have been cutting out so much from the novels it's freaking unreal. KnK 5 is still glorious as a standalone though. If you read the KnK novel then I think you will mind UBW adaptation less, since KnK suffers from similar problems.
Though to be fair, the novels themselves have a bunch of problems with pacing and whatnot and the movies sort of fix that, but still. I doubt I would have liked Enjou as much as I do from the movie alone, if I didn't read all of his monologues in the novel.
The only thing that really fits what you're trying to say is Mekakucity Actors, which I am not even sure what went wrong there. If anyone can do HakoMari right it's either Shaft or Madhouse, but preferably Shaft because Madhouse sucks at LN adaptations unlike Shaft. Shinbo likes to preserve the integrity of the source material, or so he says, and he's done a brilliant job with Monogatari which is heavy on monologues and dialogue like HakoMari. I think the safest bet would be Shaft tbh. Of course, this is all in my dreams since we may never even get an anime..
KnK 5 is not that good as a 'faithful' adaptation, if HakoMari gets the same treatment I will cry ;_;
I think it might be a happy ending. Although I am not sure how he can pull it off in just one volume; it's gonna be one big ass volume that's for sure. But for me, and this is pretty rare from what I've seen, I'm completely fine with the ending of volume 6, so if volume 7 is shit I have no problems pretending it doesn't exist.
A friend of mine asked Mikage-sensei on twitter, apparently he'd be happy if one of his works gets an anime which means no I guess. See, the problem with this novel is that the breaks between volumes were HUGE, so people lose interest. And making an anime out of the 6 volumes for people to be left with no satisfying ending nor any new material in the source isn't a good idea.
With that said, now would be the best time to make an anime for it, since he's almost done with the finale, an anime will help boost the sales and it will be a complete series so everyone wins.
26 episode series of volumes 1-6 by Shaft please! Also a 2 hour movie out of volume 7!
