Pretty good start....isekai with good start-up pace and mecha otaku transforming to bishonen robot magister. Will definitely be a fun ride.

How many timeskips were in this episode?

The last part was when Ernesti was 12 years old and I noticed two timeskips, both three years so is it

6 years old first encounter with silhouette knights
9 years old elementary school to middle school
12 years old still in middle school

Mixed feelings so far. Too many jumps. Though I'm glad they didn't drag out him being a kid. The magic related fights were surprisingly nice, mecha fights were eh.

I don't have much problem with the overused theme but some things about it were the pretty standard cringe.

The MC got reincarnated into a boy that looks like a girl, is in a well-off family, is overpowered and too knowledgeable, and has an annoying personality... yeah, this is not something I will enjoy. The supporting characters are cliche and the story itself is mediocre. Plus the fantasy and mecha elements are clashing too much for me. However, unlike most people I actually didn't mind the pacing. I'll give it a few more episodes just to see but I will probably drop this.

Much Kurata in his code, terrible va not match character at all.
Fast, but can follow since these setups, dead, isekai, noble's prodigy fairly usual so get it quickly done was ok.
Feels like Tanya + LWA 2.0, but good art, and this shota mc too cute.
8bit using their nice cg mecha from comet lucifer days, hope it does better than rewrite.
Oldman fighting bug lol. Still not sure everyone's family relations but maybe they'll clarify later.
Those detailed mech blueprints make me happy...
Some stepsister noble issue, ambush lol
Designs & rampage animation was kinda good.

It started out slow, but it grew on me as it went. Now I think it will be a fun show to watch.

What's the point of the kid being a genius programmer in a past life? None that I can tell. They could have just made him a prodigy in his own world with no downside (would have been anime standard).

At how any ages was Ernesti portrayed at in the novel?

He's 12 in the main part, right? How old was he in the first encounter, meeting Addy and Kid and elementary school scenes?

at least 4-5 different times in the novel iirc, the first one being when he first saw the robot, up until the fight in the forest.

According to a reddit:

  • 3 years old - start of series
  • 6 years old - when Eru starts training for the first time
  • 8 years old - when Eru meets Kid/Ady
  • 9 years old - When Eru goes to elementry school
  • 12 years old - Current part of the anime.

Can anyone verify this?

I did not read the first volume, but it was stated in one of the threads that he got reincarnated into a body of 1 year old. At that age, he saw the SK for the first time.

He started training since he was 3 years old. Unsure of his age when he med the twins. He started in pilot academy when he was 9 years old. He was permitted to skip magic class because of his extensive knowledge and skill. He wanted to skip magic class so he could take engineering class, which so happen to be a middle school subject.

Look for sky the wood and read the novels, they are far, far better than this show.

Was this the same scene as his dad killing the giant bug while he was sleeping in the carriage then? This took place when he was 1 years old?

I re-read the first chapter of LN, both manga and anime took some liberties when it came to introduction. In LN, Eru (formerly known as Kurata Tsubasa) is brought by his mother to see his fathers workplace. His father held swordsmanship classes at the academy. At that time, two SK had a sparring session and Eru kept starring at them. He was 3 years old on that day, he began preparing shortly after. For starters, he learned how to read and write, at age of 5 asked for lessons in swordsmanship and magic. At age of 8 he met the twins.

Very dissapointed with this super standard light novel bullshit premise. Somehow the opening scene convinced me this would be a dark workplace drama. Next thing I know we got lolis and mechs running around. That is what you get from going in blind...

This was a lot better than I thought it would be, honestly.

However, this went at a blistering fast pace with little to no explanation for a lot of things. Like how Ernesti was able to retain his memories from his past life; he didn't even question it.

Dear Jesus, all the women in this show are very attractive. Especially that one short haired high school girl. Also Ady has a very cute character design. As for Ernetsi, I'm not a fan of his girly appearance. It just seems out of place.

The world itself seems pretty intriguing, hopefully they go more into detail on how things work as we go along.

This is one of the most fascinating first episodes I've seen in an anime. This anime is adapted from a light novel, but it is clear that it blew through a good amount of the source material to get as far as it did in one episode. We saw two major time skips and exposition dumps from a narrator sprinkled in trying to cram as much information in as possible.

I personally think this is a good thing. This anime is hilariously generic and anyone who is genre savvy has pretty much seen everything this anime is doing before. The decision to skip the fluffy parts that probably aren't that interesting to get to the "good" parts looks to be a good decision. The characters seem to be ridiculously flat, that it would be better to get to points that have action because this anime can't rely on its characters alone.

At first i didnt expect this series to be this great, from this first episode i can conclude :

  • overpowered reincarnated MC who was a genius programmer and mecha lover in previous life . this remind me of myself ( althought i am not a genius one XD)
  • the mecha in this seris looks like the mecha from sen no kiseki series(my fav JRPG game :D), beside that both mecha also called kind of "knight"
  • the CG and battle animation is good
  • althought the story seems rush, but i still enjoyed it
  • i usually really selective in mecha genre anime, but this one directly satisfy and amused me
  • the OP is great (fhana XD)

yeah this series beyond my expectation and i think it will be one of my fav in this season
i hope this series can keep mantain it's greatness and enjoyment in the future

ps: i think the mc looks feminime, i wish the mc can be more manly XD

Kurata is mecha otaku.
Dat death.
She's pretty. Has nice oppai.
WTF! Big ass bug.
LMAO at Kura-I mean Ernie running to the mech instead of his new dad.
It was then Kurnie decided to get into the robot one day.
Oh snap Kurnie on top.
Kurnie is 12 now.
Who is that blonde hair girl? She's cute.
Oh shit. Different mothers. That's drama.
Kurnie got inside the robot.
Dat ending.

It was ok. fhana with another good song.

I have so many issues with this.

First of all, that car was very avoidable.

No explanation of how he was reborn.

In all those hundreds of years they've done magic, no one before MC thought of changing the staffs/wands?

Also, how is that related to programming, at all? What he's doing seems closer to physics and technical design than programming.
Man, I have to stop falling in love with fictitious high school girls'...moms!

I really liked this show. It get's straight to the point. It shows all the good moments AND it gives a LOT of social gratification. When the MC get's praised its like you're being praised since you're putting yourself in their shoes. I love shows where the MC gets a lot of social gratification.

It did go a bit to fast but that's okay because it covered it up with lots of nice action. It had a lot of dialogue sometimes that I had take a sec to understand but other than it was really good.

Me, I think it's pretty good.
Didn't take three years real time to get to the main story.

Enough details along the way to demonstrate that he's analyzing their magical technology and applying what he knows of programming & design to make radical advances as a result, with it being reasonable because he's a complete mecha otaku top level programmer modelist nerd... who got damn lucky in his rebirth, to put it mildly. Except that he's too small to use their mecha, which is why he's so focused on learning everything he can, so that he can design and build one that he can use.

"I have a bad feeling about this" *snort*
Having watched Star Wars when it was first released, back when I was in high school, that got a good laugh out of me. Yeah, OK, nowadays they all say Star Wars Episode Four A New Hope... just like Star Trek The Original Series; buddy, there was only the one for so long...

Anyway, I'm enjoying it.

I think I've downloaded the entire season a couple of years ago then completely forgot about it without seeing it even once that I've forgotten where I've tucked them in the first place. Came across a video clip from youtube yesterday so here I am again. *sigh*

So a former programmer who stops in the middle of the street to stare at the incoming traffic that ultimately killed. XP Well at least the robots, uhmm magic mechas are finally real in this world he got reincarnated in. He already started with the gunlike rod...uhmm CADs (LOL. I see you Tatsuya Shiba.), I can't wait for future episodes when he starts making innovations to the Silhoeutte Knights. Atmospheric flight, mecha-sized guns and rifles, funnels, combat support drones, METEORs, etc...he'll make a Gundam out of them yet! ROFLMAO
You see there's no need to wonder where your god is,
Coz he's right here! ...and he's fresh out of mercy.

The animation quality was really.

Also a crazy amount happened for a first episode. It felt more like I'd started watching the second or third season of a show, since it seemed to jump right into things.
