Damn what an ending to this season. I didn't they could possibly pull off one match for 10 episodes but they did it, and they made it so damn entertaining while at it. A solid 8/10 for me, S4 can't come fast enough!

I've said it before on the previous season's, this show is one of the very few where you just love every character. What a season this was, to see everyone evolve and grow through out this match was so amazing!

I cried :')

10/10! Wish I could rate this higher!

3 things:
1) YES!!!!!!!
2) If Kageyama has to miss nationals to go play with that team he better not leave
3) A fourth season better be coming either this spring or next fall or i'll kill myself

I feel bad that I only started this show just recently, I missed the excitement if waiting every week for the new episode.

Nevertheless, it's a really good conclusion for season 3. I really thought they would copy the same cliche ending again where the main team loses for plot.

Good job to the author and to the production team! 10/10

Pretty good episode & season overall, the ending was not as good / hype as the S2 but still, enjoyed it a lot ! Interesting to see Kageyama being called to play for the Youth, does this mean he'll play with Ushijima ? Excited about this side of the story

Decent, but I think it suffered from lack of material. I think S4 when it rolls around would be pretty great though.

All their training and hard work finally pays off. Good job to Karasuno for never giving up no matter what they were faced with. I look forward to see how they will do in the nationals.

The best season out there! 8/10 even without my Kenma
Now gimme the 4th season.

The part with Ushijimi "crushing" Hinata and Tsukishima was powerful imagery man! I loved it. Seeing Suga, Daichi and Asahi crying was heart wrenching. Aww.

I enjoyed this season. Not quite as much as the previous two, as the creepy red-haired guy (Tendou?) super ruined it for me. But ah well, I didn't watch his parts towards the end.. haha.

Can't wait to see them at nationals!

Season 4 probably won't be made for a while since they've pretty much almost caught up with the manga.

Why is Kageyama immune to Ushijima's genjustu?

Hehe, probably because they want to show the senpais helping out the juniors. Also, Kageyama is actually on another level altogether, he doesn't feel intimated ever (except when facing Oikawa).

that was a very beautiful moment. best in the ep.
-------------
you know when the hisoka looking guy was talking to the ace? i liked that song. it was also new.

the best part of the episode was finding out kage was chosen for national training. hinata may be the MC but i like how they remind us that he's utterly useless without kage honing in on his power with his own. kage has repeatedly been called a genius, i wonder if he will get in any trouble with guys weaker than him. that'll be interesting to see. i also hope to see my fave character oikawa somehow! D:

now to finish kuroko, then that's pretty much it with me and sports anime. it was a 2 year great ride.

It was an ok season but an OVA would have been better instead of focusing on just 1 match. Besides Tsukki's characterdevelopment and some small backstories this season was average. I would have liked to know more about the characters in Shiratorizawa. I also think the humour wasn't as good as it used to be. The OST that usally was one of the highlights in season 1 & 2 seemed to take a backseat in this season. The finale was not in par with season 2 and it was less drama. I still feel sorry for Shiratorizawa though. They were an interesting team. I know Karasuno will win the matches, which in one way makes this series too predictable and takes away the excitement for the matches. I guess that's how sportsmanga work. In real life matches aren't as straightforward as that.

The pure hype that this episode gave me made me change my ranking of the season from 9 to a 10 (Although I wight there was an between of Great and Masterpiece...(Perhaps an excellent, 9.5))

That shiver at the end of the episode from Hinata when they were talking about how lucky they were to have trained in Tokyo with such "Crazy players". That was precious and sooooooo true with his character.

Also in the end credits, I love that all the 'adults' involved with the team are helping to raise money and support for them at Nationals. It's a great school/community environment!

Finally, I think it's kinda obviously unfair that it's always Hinata on the posters, like yeah, Hitoka clearly likes him, but I would imagine the other players are pouty about it.

(Also, I still want more Yamaguchi...)

[EDIT]

I didn't realize there was more after the credits... Hinata is suuuuuupppppppeeeeeerrrrrrr envious of Kageyama right now! National- Youth-

What an absolute blast this third season was...I can't believe I cried over a Volleyball match, I don't think I've ever gotten this emotional over a sports anime. ;-;

That was a well-deserved win for sure.
Also, I'm with Ukai. Tsukki was the real MVP during this match. Hinata scored the final point, but Tsukki orchestrated the plan and cleared the path for him. Nice to see that Oikawa noticed that as well.

Also, dat ending!!!! What an absolute tease!!
Just goes to show how far ahead of everyone else Kageyama is...being the only one invited to the National Youth Training Camp. I kinda feel bad for everyone else, although it's never exactly been a secret as to who has the most natural talent not only in Karasuno, but perhaps in the entire series so far.

Tbh when I first started Haikyuu, I had no idea how much I'd adore it, as well as its characters. I need another season!! Like, now.
I'm guessing season 4 will probably come in 2018- with Nationals coming up, the matches are only gonna get longer and more intense so it would kind of kill the hype for me if almost every match was split into small seasons. Maybe I.G are thinking the same way?

After all, it wouldn't make sense to not make another season when the manga is in the top 5 sales wise in Japan. The anime has done really well too, as far as I'm aware. There really is a ton of hype surrounding Haikyuu right now, and it'd be a shame to let it go to waste.

+1 for Tendou and Ushijima's bizarre but endearing bromance *__*

For now, I guess I'll be waiting for that glorious Nekoma vs. Fukurodani match to get animated.

That mental battle with Ushijima was epic, all leading into that final point they had to make.
I really enjoyed how this season made it really hard to know whether Shiratorizawa or Karasuno would win allthough you'd obviously think Karasuno after 3 consecutive wins.

I actually thought this show would get old soon but damn did they make it exciting to follow.
And I'm kinda surprised only Kageyama was invited for the National Youth Camp, not saying he's a fantastic setter and he's really evolved while being in Karasuno but Tsukishima for example showed what an impact he could have.

10/10 for this season though, what a great final.

There are 10 episodes
Hinata's player number is 10
Kiyoko-san is 10/10 as always
Overall score 10/10 of course

That moment when Hinata was about to jump spike the ball with Imaginary crows flying from his back was purely cool, i got chills all over my body. Ushijima Japan is OP af, but Karasuna got the best teamplay, synchronization and players combination.
Every scene was briliant and interesting especially the 5th set, that was intense,

In the end they didn't reveal who the Little Giant is, but my guess is Takeda sensei because the hair looks seimillar. Any news about the 4th season yet ?

SATISFACTIONNNNNNN.

Such a good season.

Tsukki is so hard on himself ^^' I'm glad Yama was there to call him a baka LMFAO. You tell him, Yama! Our MVP was fricken AWESOME XD

My damn feels when everyone was crying til their eyes were swollen TT^TT esp the 3rd year senpai trio, aaahhhhhh~~~ <33333333

About Shiratorizawa's coach-- the way I saw him reject Hinata's being. He saw his past self in Hinata for being too small and didn't want to admit that there was something more he could've done back then to make up for his lack of height. That's why he was gunning so hard for Hinata and the rest of the Karasuma boys to lose so that he wouldn't have to admit it was even possible to succeed with such a disadvantage. But our little Hina is different, ofc. He's a crow too. He can fly :D so too bad, coach! YOU CAN ADMIT IT NOW. I'm also really glad Shiratorizawa got a taste of defeat. You can't be invincible forever or it'll get boring and you'll start to run on auto-pilot with a big ego.

This was great.

YYEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!1 I'M SO HAPPY THEY WON! THEY WONNNNN!!!!! I'm so glad the third years got to experience this! I can't believe they're really going to nationals! Hinata is so cute! I can't wait till season four comes out! I'm going to have to read the manga, this was freaking amazing! Ahhh wow.

I think Ushijima and Tendou's friendship is hilarious. That bit where they were doing stretches and Tendou was saying how he was going to give interviews for Ushijima's future biography and stuff, and Ushijima was just replying "okay" to all of those things... Hahahaha, that cracked me up! He's kind of creepy, but damn I love Tendou.

I feel so bad for Hinata that only Kageyama gets to go to the national training camp, though. Hinata should be going as well! And also that his jump was slightly lower than Kageyama's. I hope that Hinata's going to catch up to him soon! :)

CAN WE PLEASE HAVE S4 RIGHT NOW?? I don't want to let these characters go! T.T <3

Tbh I'm still wondering who the Little Giant is, lmao. I wonder if we ever get to find out his identity...it would be such a cool reveal if it was someone we've already met. :'D

Hmm, Hinata's jump was slightly lower than Kageyama's? That kinda surprised me because his jump in the beginning of season 2 in that scene with Kageyama and Ushijima was high as fuck, haha! Don't worry, Hinata, you'll get there! xD I'm sad Hinata wasn't also invited in that camp. :( I've always thought him and Kageyama were such a perfect duo and if one gets an invite, the other should too (or, better yet, the whole team!!).

100/10! Loved every moment of these three seasons! :)

Just finished watching all 3 seasons back to back.
BOY, what a ride that was!
I feel so uplifted, satisfied and happy! As well as sad.. since the series ended in 2016 and there is no word on season 4 :'(
But this series definitely has a high re-watchable value! And I think there are summary movies out (?) so I have that to look forward once my mind processes how amazing this series is!

First season, we are introduced to the world of volleyball and so many amazing characters. We are being taken on an amazing journey. I was hooked with the first episode. Hinata has made it into my top 10 characters. It was a hard choice between him and shininoya.. as well as how amazing tsuki was this season, and considering how Kageyama has grown since the first episode.

Second season, it is the comeback. We see them strengthening their skills and teamwork with the help of rival schools in Tokyo. And we get to see their hard work paying off at the end. This is my favorite season because of the different elements they had going, I reaaaally loved the summer camp training, specially the other schools! If there ever is a 4th season, I would love to see more practice matches/ camp training (:

And now the third season! This is the season where we see all their hard work, determination and growth... shine! It has been an incredible built up from the previous seasons. I think my favorite thing about this series is their extensive number of characters and how it was able to portray each one as individuals.We got to see their passion for the sport as well as learn about their past. But, without a doubt, the MVP award goes to Tsuki! Out of all the moments in Haikyuu that made me cry and feel like it was my #1 moment.. Seeing Tsuki finally getting hooked and everyone's reaction to his scream... Oh boy ;-;

Everyone in Karasuno had their moment in this season.. it made it so impossibly hard to pick which of the 3 to put in my favorites list. But, one thing that I was looking forward to in this season were the awards.. I really wanted to see nishinoya getting best libero, oikawa best setter (or is it only within the 2 last teams that get the awards?), and possibly seeing Tsuki or Aone for best blocker and maybe Hinata getting recognized as well..
I wanted a little more.

I really do hope there will be a 4th season! I cannot get enough of this series.
I think I only watched one sports anime before this, Prince of Tennis. Which I was hooked as well (sadly episodes are hard to find.. so I haven't been able to finish it) but Haikyuu took the sports anime to another level! I am definitely open to watching more of this genre but can't really imagine anything getting close to Haikyuu.
They did mentioned Kageyama getting invited to a prestigious training camp, so they did open the floor for another season... if anything, I can always pick up the manga (:

Lastly, RIP to the coach's seiyuu. I noticed that it had changed and at first I thought it was someone else narrating.. but when I realized that it was indeed coach Ukai.. I googled and found out the sad news :'(
Tanaka did a phenomenal job as Ukai!

I have so many mixed emotions. On one hand, I'm flailing over the scenes I love that were animated but so mad that they cut out one of my favorite scenes in this whole arc.

The anime staff must hate Shiratorizawa because they keep cutting out their scenes. They made Ushijima look like a monster and cut out the whole scene that showed just how important his team is to him. That scene made me cry and I was so looking forward to seeing it animated.

Anyone who wants to start the manga now, start from chapter 190.

Congrats to Kageyama for being invited to the National Youth Training Program!! I hope does well and I hope Karasuno will be able to keep up with any improvements Kageyama makes. Individual training for only one member of the team could disrupt their current balance. But I'm sure everything will be fine!

Wow, this was one epic finale!

Absolutely loved the buildup to the eventful climax! Ushiwaka's genjutsu effect and then the senpai's chipping in to save their kouhais was an awesome depiction and then that final effect with the crows overwhelming the eagle, stunning stuff! Shiratorizawa's Coach is totally beaten, height plays a very decisive role in 'strength' for sure but it's not the only and by far not the most important either and leave it to Shoyo to prove that! Tsukishima, the real MVP no doubt, with the cool last laugh and that Nishinoya one-play last episode was bloody glorious, hats off to Karasuno!

Seeing the elated and ecstatic faces faces of the supporting crowd, staff and the players, notably that scene between Sawamura, Sugawara and Asahi and xD @ the Vice-Principal's little cameo with the wig there! Loved that little touching moment of Sawamura holding on to that good luck charm firmly and Michimiya's reaction to that was gold, I need to see this ship sail please! Meanwhile, Shiratorizawa's dejected expressions were really heavy especially that scene of them breaking down to tears. Tendou and Ushiwaka's little conversation was really nice though!

Lol, I just knew that Shoyo's classmates wouldn't believe he's one of the stars of the team. And of course Kageyama & Shoyo would take that jump height as a competition lol. Also, weren't those just too high? Isn't it like 50 cm max for an athlete's jump, so how come the three reached 330+?

Anyway, Tsukki apparently isn't happy enough with how the game played out and that's a positive sign for this team but hopefully that bombshell regarding Kageyama to the National team won't through them off their rhythm, off we go to Tokyo for the Nationals!

Regarding the Coach's character voicing, I realized the sudden change last episode and read through wiki over what happened and it really hit me. Rest in Peace, your work as Coach Ukai was impeccable!

I can't believe Production I.G. and the Production Committee decided to bring fourth so late, nearly four years later! I mean there was the 'catching up with the manga' bit but it's still incredible imo. Must've been hard for those keeping up with this entry weekly, I'm sure.

Season 4, here we come!

When it's Aoba Johsai match, I feel conflicted because I root for Oikawa and feel sad but in this match, I'm just happy! I don't like Shiratorizawa team, they annoyed me a lot!!

I'm amazed with Hinata and Kageyama but I totally agree that Tsukishima is the real MVP of this match ❀

But.. why only Kageyama can join the training??
