| I am very glad to see so many positive comments about Aoi Hana (a.k.a. Sweet Blue Flowers) on these discussion threads. Clearly there is a very strong interest in a new series along these lines. Some people proposed Girl Friends. I would be thrilled to see a second season of Aoi Hana. Or maybe Sasameki Koto. That mini-review by tcfenstermaker is excellent. To paraphrase: Sakura Trick is Yuri -- but it is also Yonkoma and CGDCT. At the same time, it is not ecchi -- much less hentai. Be warned, however, that there is some kissing! Some people might dislike the CGDCT genre. However, fourteen CGDCT anime series were produced in 2013! See this list: |

And there's some subtext between other characters here and there. Sakura Trick is indeed "Cute girls doing cute yuri things". It's a fusion of my favorite genre of anime (CGDCT) and yuri. This is one reason why it's turned off a lot of people, as has been pointed out by others: it just doesn't have much depth to it. But, that is the point. |

They really were just the anime version of a four-panel manga. But then, I would argue there is no such thing as too much CGDCT. I'd watch 100 titles a year of the stuff if they cranked out that much, lol. I'm with you 100%!!! Can't have enough of these shows~ But yeah, that seems to be the main problem people have with it. I really think a lot of people were expecting something like Sasameki Koto. Heck, I was expecting something similar too until I saw the first episode.Such a pleasant surprise that one was~ |
| Here is a nice set of clips from Kanamemo ( 2009 / かなめも ). Some people classify Kanamemo as "Secondary-element Yuri". But other people classify it as "Central- element Yuri". On Japanese Wikipedia it is classified as Yonkoma (four-panel) and they don't mention Yuri. | 3/5 Hard to see the whole episode! ^ ^ " It almost seemed that the plot had gone beyond just kisses and caresses seen in the first episode, the narrative instead falling back there again! XD Deserving the fact that we go forward in history, but given a bit of breathing to us! LOL I've never seen one so yuri blazing. O_o Drawings and ani sufficient, ahhhh ... how much I regret the fact that there has not been by the Japanese a second season of Aoi Hana! | Okay now, I mean really. Why is this shit so popular. It's just moe school girls with yuri. every episode is the same. Nothing happens, then kissing and then nothing happens more kissing. I can't say it is not relaxing, but people give this dull fanservice show highscores left and right. |

| The Haruka and Yuu kiss was pretty sweet, the first one in this episode, but.. seriously, there were too many of them. The jokes weren't that funny, and.. it was kind of boring. |

| Shizuka didn't mind the kiss. She was depressed at what the kiss actually meant. I love the house analogy. It wasn't just any old kiss. It was a special kiss meant just for her. Very sweet. |

| Kotone and Shizuku share a house.. Oh my.. I'm not big of a fan of Kotone's overconfident personality.. So this ship is a bit weird, even if I enjoy Shizuku's personality.. Well, at least they're a pair as well now, and well, people can have their own tastes.. Though, I'm not sure, why Shizuku is really into Kotone.. Is she really into teasing, is a bit masochist, or what?.. I'll leave this as a question for now, maybe will see later in anime.. Haruka, there is always such thing as roleplay.. For your desires and fantasies of being called onee-san, or other ones.. ;p |
