| Episode 1 was amazing π€ especially when Rengoku follows his father's style, I get goosebumps. besides the good animation, I love every shot in this anime. good job to the director. dialogue and background music that makes me love this anime and I don't know why people hate this anime. sorry to say, this anime is better than T.R and J.K. T.R is an anime with a boring story and J.K is just a good animation. At least I have a reason and this is my opinion.  |

| I was holding off on watching the movie until right before S2 came out, but now I've been rewarded with a full-ish season version instead. Probably won't even bother with the movie now since besides this first episode, there will be 40 (?) additional cuts that didn't make it into the movie. Looking forward to it. |

| Such a clean episode. The music, animation, and emotions always give me chills. The scene of Rengoku's father was so well done and I'm excited to see more anime exclusive content as good as that. Also, those comments from all the Hashiras about Rengoku were so wholesome... but I'm not a filler fan! |
| So I decided to watch the TV version of the Demon Train Arc and it was nice that Rengoku got some more screen time to build up his character even though its an anime original. However, this makes me sad knowing his fate at the end of this arc. This episode serves as a prequel to the actual movie when Rengoku, Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke board the train. |

| I loved this episode and nothing will change that It's nice to see the series back in TV form and Rengoku continues to be my favorite character. I loved this anime original stuff and it gave meaning to something such as a simple bento box he ate on the train. It was enjoyable and an unexpected way to start off this short season Rengoku is the best |

| Seems like a semi filler series. But entertaining as always. The first episode was quit good. Nice highlight about the previous flame hashira. Sad to know he would never get to tell his dad about the vendors. Animation was pretty much on point. 4/5 Umai's |

| UMAI...UMAI...UMAI...UMAIIIII-. You hear that? That is the sound of the person who loves food...and that person will also make us cry in the coming weeks. Glad to see Demon Slayer back, it's been 8 months since I've watched the movie. Now with that out of the way, how is this episode...actually good. For an original episode, the story they built up and the care that they've put in the tone and animation is just as top-notch as the 1st season episodes. Fuku, her obaasan, the repairmen, and the villain are nice additions for this specific episode. We see Rengoku enjoying his time eating and is really determined to beat the crap out of this demon. With all things said and done though, this was a very nice episode. The flashback of Fuku's grandma when Rengoku's dad saved her once was amazing, and when Rengoku said to the little child that he'll come back for more of their lunchboxes....that hit me, it really did. We're really going into Mugen Train again for the next 6 episodes, I hope they don't mess this up to shun all them haters and non-believers of this Season 2. |

| Even without reading the manga I felt there was something wrong with this episode and it turned out it was a filler indeed. Not a single good thing to say about it. Even CG was pretty jarring, ufotable or not. I was hoping tv version will improve on the movie, which wasn't as good as people make it out to be but it doesn't look to be the case. |

| Oh yeah, demon slayer is back baby, leading with an episode of brand new content we haven’t seen before we get into the Mugen Train arc again, and it was a very good one. Imo this added some good context to the arc that the movie didn’t have, so I’m very warmed up to the idea of watching the arc again in anime form, it was an amazing movie after all. Sadly no new OP or ED yet, but I’ll be patiently awaiting those till next week. |
| I actually find this pacing much better than the movie. Still making both movie and TV anime for the same arc, I find it useless extra spending. Anyway, for me this one has more grand vibes than the movie. The name of this episode should be “UMAI!!” That was the highlight of this episode. Just like what most of the other Hashira said, Rengoku really has a strong personality which makes him likeable to everyone. Can't wait to listen to LiSA's new song in the next episode. |

| a lot of people saying this is just a cash-grab and a little series to remind us that the second season is near/wanting us to watch the movie but honestly.. who cares lmao. its basically an ova, yeah? and those have been around for forever. as generic as kny is i cant lie and say that its not enjoyable. the music is good, animation no where to be critiqued, and the characters are likeable. looking forward to this series :D |

| Wtf, this is a complete pointless cashgrab, why does my jojo part 4 and my madoka must be dethroned by another any of this again. otherwise i would say, the animation is just more of the same like ufotable standards and yep, it's still fullfilled the theatrics and themes, the fights are okay and not manipulative enough, the flashback of the grandma is also pointless since we still don't know about rengokus past otherside with his family in the movie, the cgi was better than the movie and not jarring, still waiting tanjiro and the homies to meet again still, the story is flawed with predictable tropes and fights but the animation makes it watchable despite it's made for kids. 3/5 #praiseufotableanddon'tgiveafuckabouttaxes |

| I'm so glad Mugen Train got a mini season because we get to see more Rengoku and it's interesting to see him in a setting without Tanjiro, Inosuke & Zenitsu. I'm once again dazzled by the utterly amazing animation of this anime. It's just on a whole other level Not gonna lie though - it was painful watching this knowing everything that's going to happen. One last thing: UMAI! |

| I know this is technically a filler episode but I still liked it. It serves both as a sequel to season 1 and a prequel to the movie, or as a bridge between them. The focus of the episode, and arguably the entire reason it was made, is Kyojuro Rengoku, the Flame Hashira. He fights a random mid level demon in the episode but that was a plot device to show us more about him. Btw, I'm not going to watch the next 6 episodes of the 'Mugen arc'. I don't need to because I watched the excellent movie, and ~15 minutes (or less) of new redundant scenes split among 6 episodes are not enough to tempt me at all. The episode shone a bit more light on Kyojuro Rengoku, his quirks and personality. He is a blunt and honest guy. Perhaps a little bit too honest. He also likes to eat. A lot. The Big 3+1 of the main series only show up in the last few minutes -when they board the Mugen train- and have no bearing to the events of the episode whatsoever. As for the art, music etc they are as high quality as you would expect. Ufotable at its best. I love that they do not only take great care of their characters but that they draw very detailed high quality background art as well. A must watch if you want to learn more about Kyojuro Rengoku specifically but otherwise it barely contributes anything to the story as a whole. So if you do not particularly care about him, and have watched the movie, you can skip both this and the next 6 episodes and wait for December 5 when the actual season 2 begins. I can't wait for the Entertainment District Arc. This episode was just an appetite to make me salivate for it :) |

| Saw this episode again, after finishing my Demon Slayer rewatch and it was a little better than my original thoughts but not that great still. Rengoku's definitely fitting of being in the Hashira, for his commitment to protect and fight demons, his strength and his eccentricity too. He really loves his food jeez, but then again, most shounen characters do. |

| Meh demon slayer is back to it's boring state after the last 7 or so episode of season 1 was entertaining, but I guess demon slayer miss it's root. Hopefully it gets better like season 1. |
