| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Mmk, so episode 5 is out (subbed by Ayako). This episode was alright, just more of Layfon being stupidly overpowered and such while the rest of the people were shown to be useless. Whatever, I enjoyed it. Though I've been wondering about what the engrish parts at the beginning of the recent episodes have to do with the rest of the show. Meh, they'll probably connect the dots at some point later on. |

| Among the faults, I don't care, I liked this episode. Though Nina's starting to annoy me more than ever, and the Military Arts department isn't all it's cracked up to be if they can't handle the Filth Monsters (what if Layfon hadn't been there, I doubt Felli would've put in the effort if he hadn't gone to her). And looks like harem next week. |

I think your forgetting that he was originally one of the 12 Heavens-Blade wielders. He quite and ran away to try and live his life as a normal person. So it's really no surprise that he's super powerful where as everyone else in the city is weak. They are, after all, just students. |

| Layfon looked pretty darn cool when he was younger. The engrish parts still make me cringe, but not enough to detract me from my enjoyment of this series. Layfon just scored a nice place to sleep =P. |

I found the imbalance of military authority to be quite realistic. Experienced Vet: You have to avoid this battle, it's suicide! Unproven Cadet with Many Issues to Prove: Stand aside, coward! Agree :P but yeah we had the 1min Shinji-Layfon. Counting that Layfon is used to Filth monsters just surprises me that, some episodes before he needed help and now he rapped all the babies and their mom... And spent less than 5 minutes outside (Its amazing that when he runs out its deep night and when he comes back its a fully bright day, can he create time paradoxes?) Still Decent episode. |
| I liked this episode....was good to see Fon-fon finally kicking some ass. Hopefully Nina will have learned something from this whole even and will be less annoying in the coming episodes. |

Moreover we don't know if that mother monster wasn't a weaker type of filth monster than the one he fought back then. Since he had an area of effect weapon it's not wonder he claimed he could kill any number of babies. I mean those are babies. Babies are always considerably weaker than the adult versions.[...] some episodes before he needed help and now he rapped all the babies and their mom... [...] Well, episode was ok. Nothing special but I had a good time during his interactions with Felli and that shy girl. |

I think it's safe to say the monster he fought in the past was far stronger then the monster he fought in this episode. |

| This was a quite stale episode. EasyBake is a little to terse and all over the place for me, and BlondeCaptain is especially annoying, going from one extreme (resentful) to another (caring) like a light switch. |
| It reminds me of the first 10 episodes or so of Rurouni Kenshin, where he's pretty much 300 levels above everyone else. Still, it's funny how a bunch of platooners got eaten cuz fon-fon couldn't decide if he wanted to burn those 500 calories or not. That said, OMFG FELLI PLEASE GET IN MY BED NOW. |

| Felli is so much cuter than Nina. Other than that, he isn't overpowered. If I get it right, the strongest (or one of the strongest) fighters against filth monsters are 12 heaven blades(something like that), and he used to be one of them. So it is only natural he is xxx times stronger than normal students. Also, the monster they were fighting in ep1 is regenerating and way way stronger than any of the monsters here. It was clear that no matter how much they damage it, it is still able to regenerate, so even elite fighters were in trouble. Here it was clearly low-level creature, therefore it didn't represent that much of a trouble for Layfon. More LayfonxFelli please :p |

| Well Layfon seems to have divereted away from the "I wanna get away from my past", but it looks like he's actually going to continue to fight to survive. Hope it doesn't make things to serious with him tho. Everything does need to chill so that a good ep is more enjoyable. |

| Somehow I think this inner struggle went by far too easily. So now our overpowered super hero ready to slay any monster that may be out there to tiny bits has nothing more to make him hold back. Makes me kind of loose my hopes for the coming episodes, bleh. |

| The engrish parts might be a flashback of what happened before their world became like that since there were still tall buildings during the engrish parts and it feels like it was some sort of metropolitan. Give it a couple more episodes and it will just connect. |

| Can't be true, I've said positive things about Maria Holic, gushed about Toradora for at least 10 episodes, talked about how I liked last weeks Bleach since it had Kisuke in it, and in this show stated that I like the SD stuff. These are all shows in your watching list. I've also spoken well of a lot of shows that you aren't watching. But as far as your perspective is concerned, you must not be paying attention. |
