| Lol, this episode is like a domino effect. One injury causes another to step in and so on. Turns out, Kuno's sister Kodachi likes Ranma. Originally, it was supposed to be Akane vs Kodachi in competition but now, Ranma has to take her place. I just find it funny how with every episode, they decide to throw Ranma into plot that inconvenient for him/her. |

| It blows my mind that apparently there’s a lot of Akane haters from the original? She’s such an amazing character in this and she and ranma’s relationship developing has been a pleasure to watch. Yea, she’s prickly, but it’s understandable because of her insecurities and the things she’s been through. I don’t think she’s anywhere near as bad as someone like Taiga from Toradora.. but anyway, another great episode here. Kodachi is a great addition to the story and now we have a proper love polygon going on 😂 Kinda crazy for Kodachi to just show up and try to take out Akane so she can’t compete in the competition, anyone else would’ve actually been immobilised. But I can’t tell who messed up Akane’s room more, her or Ranma and Ryoga lmao WAIT SHES KUNO SISTER?? No wonder he reacted so nonchalant when Kodachi showed up to school lmao. What was their home life like because both of these siblings are crazy. Wonder how the competition will go with Akane’s injury :/ |

| Kodachi is here and as expected of Kuno-senpai's imouto, she's crazy and has her eyes set on Ranma where Akane was supposed to battle against her in the competition but now she won't be able to because of her sprained ankle and now it's time to shine, Ranma-chan. Aside from that, full of comedic and funny moments. P-Chan is doing great. He's adorable in pig form and uses that to his advantage to sleep with Akane in her bed. Ranma is very jealous of that. Can't blame him. Also, the new OP with updated Akane's visuals is a nice touch as well following last week's ED changes. |

| Ah yes, a rhythmic gymnastics and fighting competition featuring the lunatic sister of one another lunatic character, various romantic feelings going around and Ryouga teaching Akane about ellegance despite not coming to fruition hours before it starts. This is certainly the vibe one would expect from this show. |

| I love the gag of normal everyday people staring awkwardly at Kodachi's theatrics. It undermines her attempts at crafting a mysterious and elusive aura by highlighting how insane she is. |

| "You really turning into a pig aren't you"🤣🤣 The shamelessness of Ryouga and Ranma's jealousy is fun to watch. Atleast Ryouga also helping Akane and Ranma with their training. Kondachi's antics are even one step above his brother. She was doing petal blizzard move with black roses for absolutely nothing. Taking out opponents before the fight as well huh. How I wished Akane can smash her up bad unfortunately gymnast/athelete falling on balls is a tradition. Ah Ranma have to fight for her and save his engagement. |
| I really like the unique intros. I think this one's based on some sort of shadow puppet show. It reminded me of Game & Watch. These have to be some of the coolest things about this anime like the unique title cards of Urusei Yatsura 2022. It's also cool that they updated the OP to match Akane's new hairstyle. Ik that short hair Akane was also present in the first version of the OP but still. I wonder if anything else changed besides Akane changing her haircut. I couldn't notice anything. And I'm still gonna miss long-hair Akane... Kodachi of Black Rose is finally here! Kodachi's new voice actress Ayane Sakura does a fine job I think. But Saeko Shimazu's original performance is still something else. I remember finding out that Kodachi's VA was Saeko Shimazu back when I was watching the OG Ranma 1/2. She's the same person who voiced Shinobu in the OG Urusei Yatsura. It blew my freaking mind. She has incredible range. I wonder why she didn't reprise her role in the remake. Considering she didn't make a cameo in the UY Remake either I suppose she fully retired from the industry. Anyway, another great episode. Ranma's harem grows. This time the new harem member is the female Kuno. Just one of them is bad enough but imagine having 2 Kunos up your ass... Even Akane can't compete. Also, was that a Mrs. Ichinose and Kentaro cameo at 4:08? |

| Akane now has short hair in the OP, too! Kodachi plays dirty sabotaging her opponents before the match. Tatewaki in love with female Ranma and his little sister in love with male Ranma 😂 Now female Ranma has to sub for Akane... MAPPA got the right outfit in the first meeting of Kodachi and Ranma but why is the star gone from Ranma's hat? Where is Ranma's bust? Why make things more accurate when they aren't going all the way?  |

@FMmatron In the OG it's episode 9 11 if I'm not mistaken and goes until the 13 episode. In the remake this arc will probably end next episode. I think the first season of the OG goes up to the end of Shampoo introduction.

But Akane is pretty violent in the 1st Season of the the OG, so I can see the hate being shown her way, sometimes. If I recall corectly, that does tone down a little in later years. From what I’ve been told, the OG made her way more violent than the manga. The remake is more like the manga and makes her a much more sympathetic character |

| Happy to see Kodachi in the remake, didn’t realize they didn’t get her original VA, the new one for her is killing it much like her brother Kuno’s new VA. I remember watching the original episodes for this arc back on New Year’s Eve last year, the first two episodes at least which is basically what this episode covered minus some stuff with Ranma training and the very start of the match, I think that means this is the first two episode arc of the remake, I’m glad because I remember the match itself being insanely fun and it would have sucked if they tried to cram the whole arc into one episode. And much like Kodachi in the OG, I’m a big fan of her here as well, I know she’s not a well liked character but I always found her to be a lot of fun, I also can’t deny that she’s hot lol, her bit with Ranma on the roof was cute even if she got too forceful after falling for him. I’m also glad they kept in the bit which really got me in the OG where Ryoga walks into the bath with Soun still in there, transforms and walks out while Soun says nothing lol, hilarious stuff. |

Get jealous girl. I was hoping to see her win against Kodachi cause Ranma was on the line but welp Ranma it is. Ryoga continues to be annoying piece of shit. Is he gonna be in every freaking episode? Ruining it for me. |

| Finally, the Kodachi episode. How to forget that iconic laughter. And now, Akane is showed with short hair also in the opening. Very good remake so far. Even the small recap at the beginning had beautiful animation. |
