| When it comes to Makoto and Ryuuji’s whole situation, just wanna say, Makoto, don’t date him just to fix your hanging-out issue. It won’t last and will hurt both of you. Then meanwhile this is going on, Aoi is feeling empty and almost ended up alone. Felt really bad for Aoi this episode. I’m glad Ryuuji stays being the releast one in this show, and Aoi called him, but it was just her dad. Great. |

| Man between this and Megami cafe they’re trying to kill me with these parent child relationships today. Hard to be excited about Ryuji and Makoto being together when you see Aoi suffering and no one really noticing in the background. Everyone’s so absorbed in their own world, I’m concerned for her. I figured the burglar scare would end up being her dad, but still gave us a chance to get some nice Ryuji and Aoi moments. She and Ryuji were so close so now that he’s been spending time with Makoto so much it’s gotta feel real empty and lonely for Aoi, she doesn’t seem to have many other friends.. hopefully it never comes down to it in terms of them being old and lonely, but if so, she and Ryuji would definitely be great housemates. It really hurt seeing her so down and out about her dad though. I understand being passionate about your work, but there’s no work that’s more important than your family. That’s your number one job as a man. Couldn’t even be bothered to come home on time after Aoi made dinner for him, didn’t ask about school, her friends, didn’t notice her injury. Just kind of a bum if I’m being honest. In some ways you’d almost rather an absentee father than one that comes around physically but isn’t there emotionally or spiritually. On the bright side, we did get a ton of cute Ryuji and Makoto moments today, they’re so awkward and cute now I love it! I didn’t expect Makoto to straight up ask if Ryuji wanted to kiss though 😭 we’re progressing so fast.. too fast tbh, this’ll probably come crashing down, but I will enjoy it while it’s here and look forward to the Christmas date ❤️ |

| Damn. Watching this episode hurt. Poor Aoi...the way she bottles everything up from the inside instead of expressing her feelings is definitely relatable. Her father is a terrible father, but I can't hate him too much, even though he's choosing his dream and passion over his own daughter. He's aware, but he can't help it. Ryuuji is undoubtedly the best boy of the season for me. He's such a sweetheart. Get you a friend who's willing to keep you company and stay with you overnight to help quell your fears at a moment's notice. Though there wasn't much tension...it was terribly obvious the house "intruder" was just Aoi's father lol. I really love Ryuuji and Aoi's dynamic. If there's any ending ship I would be fine with other than Ryuuji and Makoto, it's Ryuuji and Aoi. But that's obviously not gonna happen, and there are so many signs that point to Makoto and Aoi being the end game couple...especially after Makoto's behavior in this episode. No matter what, I just really hope this show won't sacrifice one person's happiness for the other two. |

| Bro, someone needs to give Aoi-san all the TLC right now. She desperately needs one after bottling up her feelings for so long–I feel that so much, especially with her being my favorite character. Nothing ever seems to go right in her world, and her parental figures aren't as close as they should be; only her grandma is seemingly the closest supportive figure in her family, but even that isn't much. I really hope things lighten up for Aoi-san, with Makoto and Ryuji there to support her as well. Or, to put it another way, this Disqus comment summed it up pretty well: "It hurts me so much to see Aoi trying so hard... it just hurts her ?. I wish she was a little more selfish and I wish she would talk more about her feelings, at this rate everything will explode for her and she might reach a breaking point... I wish someone could help her!" |

| Wow, first Cafe Terrace and now Senpai is an Otokonoko, two thursday shows in a row featuring scumbag mothers, how this isn't on purpose? And yeah, I'm concerned about Saki's wellbeing, I mean his father isn't a bad guy but he's most the time absent from home, I thought he just works his ass off with no day off but seeing him getting home drunk? Yeah, maybe not the case, specially if her daughter reminds him of his ex-wife. And yeah, congrats for the boyfriends, Makoto looked happy alongside with Ryuuji. |

| Aoi's grandmother had a slight fall, but overall, she's OK and needs to be in observation for the time being. As for Ryuji, dating Makoto is a new feeling, though Aoi tries not to be as much of an interference between the two guys. That said, a suspicious person lurking around the school, and Aoi contacting Ryuji for immediate help to fend against a possible burglar to her place, she is overjoyed, but also because she knows that she's fine being the one out of place between relationships to settle for being the last resort if Makoto and Ryuji didn't end up the way they are. That said, the suspicious person truly coming around to Aoi's home, it ends up being her worrisome father coming back in a jiffy...and like father, like daughter lols, witout her mother figure who left halfway through her growing up years. Of course, Ryuji knowing the entire story to fill Makoto in, and the Christmas season to spend time together as a couple...yeap, fleeting feelings. And for once, Aoi feeling proud that she made a meal for her father, he needs to be more attentive to familial needs, but most certainly, the urge to kiss out of nowhere sure shocks Ryuji hard, more than just wanting to please each other through their affections. Aoi's father sure only puts work first, which ultimately destroys the very foundation of her family. Even Aoi's mother too, who didn't believe in raising their own child proper. Someone give Aoi a hug and a proper family... |

| Jesus Christ, all I feel is p a i n. I mean, Ryuuji and Makoto were cute, but behind it, there is also p a i n. I do find it funny that Ryuuji is aware that Makoto doesn't feel the same way he does, but he's too hopelessly in love lmao, bro is folding at alarming rates. Everything about Aoi this episode was just p a i n. Honestly can't say that I don't understand why the mom left. I don't think the dad is a bad person, but most definitely a terrible parent. The relationships in this show are complex, man, it's crazy. Also, I don't think we've seen the end of whoever that suspicious person is, fuck. |

| That was nice of Ryuji running over to Aoi and offering to stay with her. It must be nice to have someone like that. Aoi really seems broken down. Such a familiar feeling. That talk she had with Ryuji I had a similar talk with a friend years ago saying if we dont get with who we each love and cant love anymore that we should just get together for comfort even though we are just friends. She eventually ghosted me so I guess she found someone. Having something or someone to die for is a nice thing to have for those who have it Ryuji getting all blushy around Makoto is cute Poor Aoi getting ditched by her dad. I dont know why he cant take her with her, well i guess there is school though and it is probably difficult to and dangerous to be out in the water so long. | Really impressed with Aoi as a character. Bloom Into You got a lot of attention for depicting aro, but this portrayal feels much more real to me. The bit about whether if both her and Ryuuji end up without love could they just be together hit so hard. |
| I still really feel like Ryuuji and Makoto will break up cause Makoto really feels like he's forcing this relationship. Man tho Saki has it really tough Grandma being hospitalised, Grandpa's dead, Mother just left and the dad is a work nutcase she literally has no one now. Saki is really great at hiding her own emotions though and lying so much its just natural to her, I can relate to that in a way. The thing about Saki and Ryuuji living together in the future if neither of them find real love or have a relationship that lasts is really sweet. They are really great together Ryuuji is a real one for coming through for Saki though great guy really. Really hope she finds someone or something she can invest herself in and doesn't end up alone |

| at first, I thought her father wasn't as bad as I pictured, because of how he answered her message and immediately came back... but man, he is the worst... I'm glad Ryuji is there for her... dude is the best person on this series I don't know how to feel about him and Makoto "dating"... such a weird situation, because Makoto clearly don't feel the same, but seems to be willing even to kiss him, for the sake of "being together" also... the suspect was caught? that means the first shadow Aoi saw wasn't her scum father? |

| I thought the dad was too obsessed with work and didn't care for family but it's not like and he does but he still priortises it over family. The mother left, felt bad for Aoi. It kinda feels like Aoi might start developing feelings for Ryuuji or is but not sure. Makoto though definitely started liking her. Their relationship is a mess. |

| Good episode, I liked it. The last two episodes offered quite a bit of meat with the bone. One thing I did notice though is the over reliance on the love triangle, playing it like a piano to move the story forward, which reduces the titular otokonoko to just another variety of a girl courted by two others. Another issue, when we again look at the title it promises a story about the relation between a kouhai and a senpai who crossdresses. Instead, the story delivered "childhood friend who is also a boy falls in love with the crossdressing other guy." Weird? The crossdressing is the least weird part here. |
| Poor Aoi. I can relate to her in some aspects. In the grand scheme of things, no one really cares about you. Aoi is just masking her true feelings with happiness. She deserves better /: Her dad made promises to her for him to just leave because he was going to see a whale. He even said he won't regret dying from his job. What sucks even more is he realizes he's a shitty father but doesn't care to fix his issues. Ryuji is a real one for going to make sure Aoi was okay. He's truly the MVP of this anime. |
