Gotta get rid of more goblin pests and this time, they seem to be threatening an elf village. Luckily, Goblin Slayer and his party exists to take care of that.

It also looks like Elf and Sword Maiden are doing some good work on their side. Sadly, the threat of goblins will be a lingering problem in their world as it's still the premise of the show.

Well looks like the Elves need to do something about their security and check more often on the villages nearby.
They seem to have a big goblin problem not surprising seeing as this is goblin Slayer but still the Elves need to do something about that.
Anyway the ones staying behind will probably have to hear a long story ones the team gets back.

Welp, the slice of life recess is over. Now we are back to the gruesome of this series.

That's kinda bad, the villages not having communication between each other.

The fated "One Who Stops the Waters" creature exposes itself, and Archer's elven village is in trouble. Goblin Slayer and his party needs to eradicate the goblin controlling it, as well as subjugate the enormous beast and limiting its exposure to take it down. Though her elder brother and older sister are about to be wed, the problem still stems with the goblins if they made a nest nearby to stake out the elven village bit by bit. This wssn't the case for Goblin Slayer, who failed to protect Cow Girl that one time, and which he intends to make up to her.

Goblin Slayer and his party departing the elven village into unknown territory, having one more boat as a decoy is the assurance that there're goblins romaing around Archer's town, and smart ones at that, as they close in on the goblin's territory which makes one enough to puke within the uncomfortable dissipating fog. Going into the pyramid to find goblins all around and locate the boss, instead they find water contaminated with the blood and faeces of elves, which Archer and her elven village unknowingly have been using for quite some time. This can only be attributed to the One Who Stops the Waters, though it is most certain that it's the work of a skilled goblin shaman.

Amidst worries, a night's sleep would help the party be revitalized for another day. Until then, there's hope to wait for good news.

Taking down the dinosaur or whatever it's called wasn't that hard and it's back to goblin slaying again. To think they made their nest this close to the elf village and those corpses hanging there, just damn. Priest girl really couldn't take it. Some nice goblin slayer and elf girl moment and with her sister too. Hope they take care of the goblins and go back to attend their wedding safely.

I need a Goblin Slayer JRPG! The sewer/waterway this EP, the spiraling staircase looks so F*ing cool, I want them in a JRPG....

PS:
Yes, I know, we already have lots of spiraling staircases in JRPGs (mostly going up the stairs though). But spiraling staircase dungeon in JRPGs are almost always so cool though....

High Elf Archer fans keep winning this arc!

The elf realm may have an extra soft ground but I'm still surprised the goblin that got crushed by the mocha ukelele (or whatever its name is) had its corpse kept intact.

Also, Goblin Slayer needs to chill out with the boys more often. Those talks get surprisingly deep.

I'm really not liking the guro censorship in the 2nd season of this anime.
The manga hasn't caught up yet, but I'd like to see just how much the anime skipped over.

At 15:15, did the studio just cut short on the animation?
We see Goblin Slayer throwing the utility, but not the target.
I don't remember when the last time an anime has done something like this.

Edit: Actually, this might be a POV perspective because Goblin Slayer might not be able to see well in the fog.

Oooh look its a goblin riding an elephant but in reality its a goblin hijacking a sacred beast. The cast drawing their weapons was a pretty nice moment. Nice bit of teamwork that allowed them to subdue the beast though. It was cool seeing HEA and her sis speak in their language. The talk with the groom and sisters sure was fun. The decoy boat was a nice idea that allowed the team to lure out the gobs. The sight of those corpses that they saw as they neared the facility sure was chilling as was what they found within. Despite that the bonding moment between GS and HEA was pretty heartwarming that did well to take away the grimness of their surroundings. What i don't get though is why didn't the elves suspect something was up when they had radio silence from their forces at the facility.

Looks like we have a goblin shaman or some kinda of spell caster on the go. Im most interested in what head priest women found out and sent to the elve high council. Now we heading deep into goblin territory I can image it kicking off.

On a side note, not entirely sure why Chruncy put up a disclaimer at the start unless they showing a cut version? Nothing actually happened this eps.

Elf Archer comes across better in the anime than in the manga. Maybe it's the voice and animation that does it for me.

The animation of this episode was actually really good. Makes it seem like the poor animation in some of the earlier episodes was actually a fluke.

But yeah, I kinda hate how the gore seems to be censored. Maybe they'll show more in the Blu-ray version? Kinda doubt it though.

I love these episodes where the goblin slaying team has to traverse different environments and kill the goblins in an efficient way.

The look on everyone’s faces when goblin slayer said we’re going down 😂 bro has no fear at all. Definitely a new meme format.

They didn’t do the bath scene with the girls :/ got a little bit of fanservice, but damn.

It’s been cool seeing HEA and her sister interact. I like how the impermanence of life has been a big theme for elves this season. Yea, she may only get a few decades to be around goblin slayer, but that doesn’t mean it’s not worth doing.

That torture chamber was brutal. Like GS said; the goblins are foolish but they aren’t stupid. Poisoning the river is some fiendish shit. I’m looking forward to seeing how they resolve this arc.

Man, the more I watch these goblins do the most inhuman things, the more I understand why Goblin Slayer can't stop sounding like a broken record, with a forever fixed frequency of "slay everything, as everything is a goblin until someone says otherwise".

There they came to spend some fun time but again, goblins ruined every bit of it smh. Sweet few minutes with Elf Archer and Goblin Slayer though.

Seeing how the party handled the dinosaur monster was pretty cool, the scene looked really good too, the fact the dino wasn’t CGI impressed me alone lol. And now the name of the game is stopping the goblins that are terrorizing the elf village, it’s always goblins lol, but I’m glad the enemy has been consistently goblins too, if the bad guys suddenly changed this wouldn’t be Goblin Slayer lol. The way they masked their boat in the fog with a fakeout up front was very clever too, of course the goblins wouldn’t see through a play like that, and the goblin slaying action that followed was pretty nice too.

And finding out what the goblins were doing with the bodies was pretty fucked up, making the elves drink and bathe in the blood and more of their brethren is definitely a genocide worthy offense, and I’m kinda surprised the elf archer didn’t get more upset there but she has seen a lot up to this point so it makes sense. And speaking of her, I really loved her moment with the Goblin Slayer near the end, I’m a big fan of the focus she’s had lately.

High Elf Archer is really starting to grow on me, and it's kind of making me uneasy. It feels like they're putting in extra effort to make her likable, and that's setting off some warning bells, you know?

The scene with Goblin Slayer kicking it with the guys was unexpectedly heartwarming. He definitely needs to hang out with them more often. It got surprisingly deep, too.

I found the explanation about why the goblins would set up camp near an elf community pretty intriguing. The idea that elves, being ageless, take things slow and don't rush into things like mortal species do is a neat twist on a fantasy trope.

That last body being a child really hit hard—these things don't spare anyone.

And can we talk about the water the elves have been sipping? I don't even want to think about it.

Oh, and that torch going out? My mind immediately jumped to carbon dioxide poisoning. Yikes

I like how much developement Elf is getting this season, I always thought she was way too bland in S1.

The ending is way too calm, something bad is about to happen I just know it.

The goblin riding that young Hydra looked so much better than CGI Gaelion!!

Sadly they cut out minor stuff again and this made anime-onlys confused. Episode 5 is missing a scene where the goblins attack a traveling group and impale a girl with a huge stick right between the legs. The dead bodies GS's group finds this episode are travelers.
Because this scene is missing people think the goblins are abducting elves from their city and the elves don't care.

Really solid episode after the last one. Something that was bothering me a bit this season was the comparative lack of tension compared to the first run of this anime but this episode did a pretty good job with the atmosphere, especially towards the end. Also there were some really nice transitions here and there, like the flames turning into the ripples from the river, chef's kiss to those.
Hoping the rest of the season maintains this level of quality, seems we're nearing the "main" arc of it!

What an incredible episode this has been, overall this whole 'marriage' arc has been really great and as always interesting as hell.
I start to be convinced that my man just got a curse to be followed by Goblins like it's insane, they're everywhere trying to screw up everything.

But yeah, great episode and it will just be better from here, since this time it seems that the big boss will be something we've never seen before.

And oh btw, loved the interaction between Elf and Goblin slayer, truly wholesome!

(JK, that's Al Gore. I'm sorry, I had to)

"Gore" is extreme violence, when a show show's decapitation, blood rain, or something like that. Basically, if the show showed a man cutting his opponents in half and their blood and intestines got spread all over the place, now that's gore. This EP has a scene with a grinder, that's usually used to grind wheat into flours. But then we see people inside the grinder instead, with their blood spread all over the place. This means, whoever that is, used the grinder to grind people to extract their blood. Now that's gore.....

On the other hand there's also "Vore". It's gore but in s*xual fetish kinda thing. Mostly involving mosters eating their victims (girls) after r*ping them..... Yeah, I watched/read too much h*ntai to actually know this....

episode 6 animation threw me off so much, it took me out of the whole episode, im glad to see episode 7 stepped the animation up.

I don't like the fact that we're now in a elven village and have only seen two other elves outside of our regular HE Kuchukahatari.

Kuchukahatari boasted about her sister being a better archer than her so I had automatically assumed from the male high elf appearance that he would be a great warrior which was being sold by how easily he snuck up on goblin slayer last episode but so far the elder sister and her husband are disappointing me, them having him off screen goblins for me is working against him. This disappointment maybe getting compounded from thinking about the other high elf from year one. Outside of that good to see the elves live up to their nature of being stuck up. Hope is still there to see the superior abilities of the elder sister.
