Idk why but Mie seemed more elegant this episode without her glasses in the finale. Komura got funny thoughts in his head again when she was talking to another guy.

It was a sweet and cute episode imo. There was nothing too out of the ordinary as I believe the show wanted to give Komura and Mie one last time to interact in and outside of school.

I highly doubt that Mie will ever forget Komura.

One day, Mie met a classmate from elementary school, but she hardly remembered them. Seeing this, Komura felt anxious, thinking, will he be forgotten one day as well.? Carrying such thoughts, on the last day of school before summer vacation, Komura does what anyone would do, and make plans to see her not just the next day, but anyday would be great for him to see Mie during summer vacation. To which she happily accepts.

Their puppy love is incredibly adorable. This anime was, for the most part, well-executed. Middle school kids experience this type of romance. I dislike shoujo that portray 13/14 year olds as if they were acting like 17 year olds. Believe me, innocence still exists. Props to Komura, though. This is definitely a promising beginning for their relationship to develop further. And Mie certainly seems eager to get closer to Komura, doesn't she? If we get a second season, I hope for even sweeter moments in the future.

I think this season finale was done quite well. Komura definitely grew on me in this episode, even though he could be a bit annoying at times. Mie was always there to save the day. 7/10. In my opinion, it was a decent comeback for GoHands. When it comes to middle school romance anime this year, Bokuyaba is unbeatable.

Mie once again had her glasses on view...fashion ones, so it's not exact. And her wanting Komura to wear it, she wants a better look, to which she has her real pair of glasses to see him and laughs it off on him.

Once again, Mie is attached to Komura because she forgets her glasses, and Komura gets a wisp of her hair. Which, after her classmate Maho Tohyama fixed her hair, Mie looks pretty with braids and Komura can't stop staring at her hair, until she undid it due to food being stuck on her hair, as well as the pool smell of chlorine. Even Komura admits that he's Mie's father figure in school, though she got hit on...or rather, acquainted with one of her elementary school friends.

The usual act follows the next day with Mie telling the incident to Komura, though the latter worries if she's going to forget him in the future. And soon, it's the Summer break with entrance exams before, which their time together will diminish. Thankfully, Mie found her glasses and remembered everything from the day before, though Komura's thought lingers. They hang out at the usual playground, though remaining hidden where Mie will analyze Komura's face. And after a brief period of time, Mie shares a photo with Komura as a sign of remembrance before they separate for the Summer break. Komura being discontent, stops Mie in her tracks, confessing to her that he wants to see her even during the Summer break.

The thing is, Komura met Mie in his childhood days, but her elementary school friend Ise is quite the joker by taking her glasses, so he accompanies her back home, though the husband treatment wasn't a far-fetched thought, as compared to being dad-zoned.

An alright showing I thought, despite GoHands goofing around with their usual 3DCG animation debacle.

@KANLen09 Lol, I was just going to say that this episode confirmed that Komura-kun is more like Mie-chan's dad than anything else. Even as stranger kids, I guess it runs deep after all, xD.

It's been a pretty fun show, imo. And it's nice to see that the rating of the show has finally soared past 7.0 mark, it deserved to be higher. One of the best romance Op themes in a while as well, it never failed to get my attention.

@KANLen09 Fair point, lol.

@_MushiRock11_ If Komura's going to be dad-zoned all of his life even if he and Mie are official, then let it be so. What's better being friend-zoned than being dad-zoned. make the joke run as long as it can.

To each his/her own, technically.

  • Komura should have proposed studying with her during summer vacation.
  • It's a sort of weak finale.
  • Though I had bad impression for the show because of the weird camera angles in the first episode, I'm glad that they didn't use the technique so much later.
  • Now I like the clear picture of the studio.

"there lived an ojiisan and obaasan" lmao

しわ (shiwa) actually means "wrinkle; crease". So the book isn't moist but wrinkly. Translation mistake?

Thankfully Komura didn't act too weird about Mie meeting her old classmate.
I think this is focusing on 賜り (tamawari) which is a conjugation of 賜る (tamawaru) - "to be given; to be granted" about which Mie asked earlier in the episode ("to receive").

Not a confession but still nice lol. Hopefully they'll meet in their free time outside of school too.
Do kids really do stuff like this to their crushes? Just to get their attention I guess lol.

I enjoyed this more than the most I think. Or maybe I'm just biased towards romance anime. The story wasn't anything excaptional but I enjoyed it. Didn't mind the visuals tbh, I think they're good (they really gave a lot of attention to that h a i r). Looking forward to more cameraman stunts from GoHands lol.

A super cute episode to end what was a super adorable series :)
I did not expect that scene with them as kids, it was a nice way to end the show.

Overall, I had a great time watching that series: I thought it was cute and fun, that the animation and voice acting were really good (Mie's va especially).
It had been a while since I didn't enjoy this kind of anime, but this series felt like a nice little twist on the 'boy meets girl' romcom anime, and I enjoyed it very much.
7 for the whole series

Does someone know how many chapters the anime adapted?
I'm interested in trying the manga :)

A super cute finale revealing more of the past, although I do wish we got a kiss scene (even if it was on the cheek or something), since I doubt we’re getting a season 2. Overall, a very sweet series, 8/10.

Mie really dadzoned and husbandzoned him at the same time lol. That backstory from when they were kids was so sweet, small Mie is adorable. The pre op scene with Mie wanting to see Komura wearing glasses was sweet too. Rest of the episode was sweet too with how they both wanted to meet during their break. Nice episode to wrap up the season, nothing special and same as usual.

Really enjoyed the season, it's a cute story. Adaptation was good and liked the OP song, ED was nice too. Would love to see more of this. S2 when?

Wearing joke glasses first thing in the morning huh how very Mie like. Mie's new hairstyle sure looked cute. If anything one can easily deduce when someone is looking at them even if the other party tries to avoid being obvious. Considering their bonds and the fact that they are desk mates i think Komura's worry is just him overthinking it. That moment inside the slide really was sweet. But to think that they had already met before as children. Back then the red strings of fate were already tied between Mie and Komura it seems. Would be nice to see a S2 for this series.

So.. this was finale? Nah leave that, the least we could've hoped was for this main character who monologues infinitely within his mind to grow even a bit throughout the course of these 13 episodes, but... as if.

She has a different hairstyle, he'd bore us... she's in a swimsuit, he'd make us facepalm with his train of thoughts... she mistakenly stumbled upon a male specimen, he'll make us irritate with his unneeded anxiety. Middle school boys always thinking about nasty is one thing, and being a total creep is another.

This dude falls into the latter bracket. Anyways, that little flashbacks towards the end was quite out of nowhere. Though great thing they didn't do the cliche of someone somehow recalling their first meeting lol.

This went nowhere in the end. Watched for GoHands meme, but quite honestly they improved immensely after the first couple of episodes with their cameras and everything lol. Also for some kind of sequel.. I don't think much would change, so good if they rather not.

Pretty decent finale. Though I would've preferred more things to happen. But it wasn't bad at all.

This was a pretty decent show. The only reason I watched this was because Mie's character design in the initial key art struck me. I'm glad that she turned out to be the best aspect of the show.

The animation of this show was... definitely unique. Too bad it turned away a lot of people in episode 1. The animation in the later episodes looked amazing. Save for a few scenes like in episode 1 that looked bizarre.

I wouldn't mind CGI in anime if they looked more like this. Don't think I've watched Studio GoHands anime before. Now I'll keep an eye on what they release later.

I heard that the manga gets better later on. At first, I wasn't sure but after hearing what happens I wouldn't mind watching a Season 2 of SukiMega. Hopefully, it'll be confirmed soon.

“I wonder if Mie-San’s ever going to stop forgetting her glasses” they’ve gone full meta now. You and me both, Komura. You and me both. Cute finale. I can’t lie the last few episodes were pretty good.

Series was little inconsistent for me with a promising start, the gag getting repetitive and then a nice ending. I still think the story probably works better in manga format and the score kinda indicates that. It’s not a bad show, just not great

Lot of cute moments in the finale today, I especially found Komura getting dad zoned as a kid to be hilarious. Even back then he was struggling lol. But I don’t get how they made a promise as little and suddenly forgot it? They’re only in middle school so it wasn’t even that long ago lmao. Anime memories are horrible

The slide scene was really cute as well. I never expected a confession in season 1 so I wasn’t really disappointed by that like some people. It’s a school romance so they’re naturally going to drag it out lol.

Idk overall, just a cute show. MC is still too over dramatic at times, but it did get better over the course of the show. Not in the top 10 of the season, but I’d watch another season

Really glad that partway through this series they kinda toned down a bit with the crazy camera effects but I guess I somewhat got used to it as well.
They might have not actually confessed to each other but I'm still glad for this ending and we even got to see a happening in their past too, tho I wonder if it was fate that they ended up in the same class as each other considering they didn't go to elementary school together.
Overall was a cute wholesome series <3

What a beautiful ending to a great show. Got to see a bit of Mie's past, where she still always forgot her glasses and she had a classmate who practically bullied her. She also basically confessed to another boy back in those times too, how sweet. She also called Komura a complete opposite to how that classmate was.

Oh and it was adorable how they both didn't want to forget each other and they decided they would meet again, some time in the summer.

Now what a great show it has been and I love how GoHands' signature nausea inducing animation was cut down a lot towards the end, that is very much appreciated by me. The story was interesting and it kept me coming back for the past 3 months. The animation is just beautiful, but to be expected by GoHands, and the character design is also great. Overall I rate this show a 7/10, mostly because the pacing of the story was a bit weird. I just hope they make a second season, this show absolutely needs one. I really am going to miss watching this show on a Tuesday evening, and this is also the first show I've seen as it has aired so kinda a big deal for it to have come to an end for me.

Mie is in my top 3 waifus of all time, look, cute voice, the way she acts, everything about her is perfect. I still don't get it how this anime has such low rating.

Decent ending, and I thought this series improved as it went along. Early on Komura had cringey moments throughout but he did somewhat calm down as the series progressed. Mie is kind of weird as well so I guess they were made for each other.

The best thing that I liked about this series is the way Mie's hair was animated, that was well done. The animation was decent although the usage of CG for the various buildings and school was a little weird, and the camera angles early on were all over the place. Beyond that the storyline was ok and the character designs were good. I understand that the manga gets better later on so based on that I would watch a 2nd season if its ever announced.

Shame they didn't kiss or even get together at the end of the season. As great as the animation was, I can't help but feel something simpler would've suited it more. Still, very enjoyable. I like the MC too. Yeah he's cringe sometimes, but that's just real life.

Give me season 2 when they're together. I think it would be quite a bit better than S1.

There may not have been a confession but what we got was extremely close and great in its own way, that final scene on the playground that was paired with the reveal that Komura met Mie as kids was very well done, a truly great bit to end the anime on. I think it’s safe to say Komura will be remembered by Mie lol, this man has made more of an impression on her than any other which was evident by her elementary school classmate, and after that scene of when they were kids I think it could be written in the stars.

And that was the end, and despite what folks said around the middle of this anime, I truly loved this from beginning to end, one of my favorites from the summer season. Komura never seemed that cringe to me (and even when he was it was funny lol) and the whole running gag of Mie forgetting her glasses stayed consistently fun for me too due to the unique situations she’d keep ending up in because of it, and the progression of their relationship was amazing to see over the course of the show, it’s a truly unique relationship too, never seen one quite like it before and I’ve seen a lot of romance anime, and once again a big part of it is because of Mie forgetting her glasses. And of course I want to mention I absolutely loved the art and animation style of this show, the 2D characters over the 3D backgrounds looked beautiful to me, this is another thing a lot folks weren’t into and I was one of the people that was immediately captivated by it, I guess it’s something not everyone can get into but I loved it myself.

And the OP was hands down one of the bests of the summer season, such a fun and catchy jam with some great visuals to go with it, and the ED is very cute and also a fun song, you can’t go wrong with Masayoshi Oishi either, loved hearing him sing with Mie and Komura’s VAs. I’d absolutely love if this show got a 2nd season, I’d be there in a heartbeat.

Mie-San definitely carried this show. With her cute facial expressions. Doing whatever she wanted and not feeling overly shy and embarassed like holding Komura’s face and staring at him. To noticing Komura staring at her or liking something she was wearing or her hairstyle and making sure she did it again. The final episode was a little weak and disappointing. It wasn’t as cute and as good as Dangers in my Heart or Kubo-San won’t let me be invisible, or the Angel next door spoils me rotten. But it was a nice little flirty anime or the end of summer. I hope they come out with a season 2 so we can see their relationship bloom. Now the Fall lineup is stacked and can’t wait to watch over 30 new shows/sequels in a few weeks

I really didn't understand why people hated this, it's just a fluffy rom com like any other that are aired every season. Show was okay except for the MC constantly putting himself down like a scrub. Probably won't have to wait long for a "cute Mie-san sounds" compilation to pop up.
It also made me go back and make sure I wasn't crazy when I swore that Studio GoPro re-used the same design from SYD for the restroom and save for a couple of changes it's basically the same thing. They've been using the same animation techniques since the beginning though so what's a recycled background or two?

Sometimes all I need from a romance anime is for it to be cute. This show is the epitome of cute, centered around the main couple of Mie and Komura. The hapless glasses forgetting girl and her helpful overly worried classmate. Throughout this show we saw them grow closer to each other, starting off as just classmates whom sat next to each other then becoming close friends on their way to something more. Komura absolutely having feelings for Mie by the end of this season and Mie herself getting very close to realizing how she feels towards Komura. A lot of very cute moments scattered in these episodes, usually involving Mie forgetting her glasses. It's in the title after all so they gotta make those jokes funny, which they were. Going from pure comedy of how can a girl forget her glasses this much to Komura sort of liking when Mie forgets her glasses since then she relies on him. While most of the times their antics are played for jokes those serious thoughts came through for Komura from time to time. Seeing as how he enjoyed spending time with Mie which made him value his time with Mie even more, leading to in the finale Komura wants to see Mie even during summer break. These two spend time together was very sweet and I liked how cute and fluffy this show was.

mie hasn't changed at all since she was a lil kid lol komura was thinking a lot this episode huh.
decent ending. show fell off for me because it got too repetitive but still had it's wholesome moments which i liked, no problem with the adaptation itself unlike the majority clowning over the cg. gonna miss some mie cuteness but probably doesn't need another season if it's just more of what we had this, might still check out the manga much later anyway. decent stuff overall, one of those shows without unnecessary drama 6/10 i liked it.
