The male MC has his own problems, but learns from the female MC how to deal with them. They both help and rely on one another. Stop forcing false narratives. |

I think she has been very strong, despite the bias and disrespect because she is a female and everyone thinking she is a "by the book betty", hence shy she is overly strict on herself and others, always fowling rules to a ' T ', to push herself to be like her father. Gabimaru sees that she is struggling with her own feelings as a beheader, basically killing people (not such an easy thing to live with), but she refuses to backdown in a fight against him, even though she knows that he can kill her any time he wants to. That takes a lot of strength, bravery, courage, and fearlessness. She faced death and did not have fear or cowardice to run away. I suggest you look from the anime's perspective of "strengh" instead. |

| My problem is that in the first two episodes, she's portrayed as a chad now she's just playing damsel in distress. The characters are nothing to write home about either. Possibly the weakest start from a battle shounen that I've seen this year. It can only get better from here. |

| I don't think she's weak or annoying but rather I find the way they "try" so hard to make her appear to be so stupid. I don't read the manga yet, but from the first episode, she was calm and collected and fully aware of all of the supernatural elements in this world of Jigokuraku, but then a few episodes later they deliberately made her surprised and shocked at all of the weird shit in the island. Like haha, it'd be more convincing if they had not put so much effort into creating the strong and analytical mindset of Sagiri in episode 1 but nope they just had to trash that and force her into the damsel in distress trope. In other words, I'm complaining about the plot rather than the character in question, two different things. |
