| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Thank goodness Homura stands tall against Kurenai. About time. She got everything she deserved imo. At least they managed to finish this arc with a satisfying conclusion imo. Obviously, there's alot more storytelling in the series left. Overall, fun series and was entertaining but not too great. I still enjoyed this arc though. 7/10. |

| Now that was a fight between Shiki and Madame Kurenai in her Kurenai Dragoon, using her own weapon to instil power to his Ether Magimech Gravity Impact to defeat the robot, I'm impressed. Nino did his duty to shut down the Punishers, and Kurenai being dragged by Shiki, faces Homura and the rest of the Resistance to decide her fate. Between mother and daughter, the mother that did a whole lot of wrongs and the daughter that didn't forget her only gift that maintains their connections (which is the pet doll), there's just no saving grace of Kurenai compared to Valkyrie whom Homura adored as a mother figure, someone worth loving. Let bygones be bygones, and rid her out of sight. Kurenai isn't overly dealt yet, and those who suffered under her hands gave her back with instant karma. Sun Jewel is finally liberated, but brining Valkyrie back to Edens Zero while being re-programmed by Sister Ivry just will not do to complete the Demon King's Four Shining Stars. Homura offering to take Valkyrie's place to complete the Four Shining Stars for Edens Zero to fly to where Mother is, that's a huge undertaking. Drakken Joe following Edens Zero from behind, but a decoy hologram of escape by Witch, that should give them enough space. But to lose their former comrade, it's a sad sight. And this is where Edens Zero will finish the manga-to-anime adaptation from here (with Vol 8), honestly it started out being decent, then it gets good. Hiro Mashima, you're doing a good job. If there's one thing to take away from Edens Zero, is this: Anime will save the universe. Season 2 is a possibility with Xiaomei's narration (and the short preview), and the possibilities are endless. May we see Edens Zero again in the future. Also, RIP to Director Yuuji Suzuki, sad, sad news when the anime just finished airing on TV. | Shiki and Kurenai got into the fight which was being in process for the last few episodes. Though, this was where it needs to be concluded. And, I would say that was pretty good, Kurenai faced Homura and there's no way that Kurenai is even close to what Valkyrie was to Homura. Looks like Draken Joe is gonna be a big problem in the future. He's after Edens Zero after all. But, for now, I guess this is it. Overall, not very impressed with this show. The last arc was pretty decent tho. Idk maybe it'll get better in the future. It got good in the end but I can't say that about the whole season. I think Mashima's working too much. He needs to chill a bit. Meh... I'm gonna miss Rebecca the most. Well, until next time. |

| Nice adaptation, convinced me to give Edens Zero another shot. For those still not sure, it's definitely worth sticking with it till the next arc. That's where shit starts turning up. Overall, it's a really fun adventure series with more care put in the scope of the world building compared to other shounen we got lately. That's what I like the most about it. @KANLen09 Dang, RIP |

| Great finale with some good action and really emotional moments. Shiki kicked Kurenai's ass and Homura scaring her off was freaking amazing. Also she even got what she deserved at the end. Back to Edens zero and as you'd expect the other shining stars were shocked at the news. Sister and Witch embracing each other and crying made me tear up too. May they meet with Valkyrie again in heaven. Also Homura officially became a member of the shining stars, congratz girl. With that this season is finally over. Props to JC Staff for delivering us a good adaptation. Specially for the cool OSTs and the ether gear animations. Also I'm really excited to see the upcoming arc animated as that's proly the best part of this series. Till then sayonara~ |

| That was an enjoyable journey, as expected of Hiro Mashima. It didn't quite deliver on the sci-fi aspect, but other than that I liked it a lot. |

| Firstly rest in peace to the director who sadly passed away last month. Prayers to his family and loved ones. Best episode saved for last as it should be. Absolutely lovely final episode. Homura had the perfect punishment for Kurenai. So many emotional moments during this episode as well. Couldn’t help but get goosebumps when Shiki blew up Kurenai’s robot, then Sister refusing to accept Valkyrie death and crying at the end was the icing on the cake for me. Show had some inconsistencies and some boring episodes, but the final few eps here were great. I feel like we’ve only got a taste of what’s to come with this show. I never saw or read FT but from what I’ve heard the story here is even better, and seeing how highly FT is ranked on MAL, this is gonna be fun. Hype for s2. |

| I totally forgot about that captain. I'm starting to think he might be future Shiki. Glad Kurenai didn't get off scott free, but damn! What were they about to do with that bat? The preview was quite dramatic. |
| As Kazuma would have said: "You're nothing but boobs to me" But honor where honor is due, this show was never boring, it never felt like a chore to watch each weekly episode (and even if it doesn't look like, that's a big compliment from me, specially in this barren season) and even with a very simplistic adventure story there was always some expectations to be fulfilled on each arc with every new character. My only true gripe was the whole justice boner with each villian being massacred by just a bigger fish. I'd wish Mashima's writing wasn't this sadistic. Still, a very fulfilling 6.5/10 from me, surely expecting season 2, whenever that happens. |
| personally they should have resurrected Valkyrie with the backup data in their cloud storage imo but maybe some other time when the need arises RIP to one of the directors of this show btw his death is so sudden and i hope his death is not work related because that will add to the Anime Industry bad working conditions |
| The outcome of Kurenai was darker than I remembered... Didn't expect them to anime out the scene where they broke her legs and off-screen rapes her. (some dude before this grabbed her hair and said she was hot) Especially since previous works by the author isn't as dark and most of them were light-hearted comedy. ___ ___ ___ Anyways... looks like Homura's taking over as Valkyrie of Eden Zero. Tho for obvious reasons Homura's not going to be as well-armed as Valkyrie. Also, just saw the news about that director. Tho I doubt it would stop the series from having any future seasons, especially since they still aired the last scene with Xiaomei literally telling us about a second season with a giant "NEXT" at the end. |

| Well, dumping your mother with such a cruel words mostly be fine enough rather than giving her a fast execution, or rather just forgive her shit. No excuse for a heart broken girl, Homura while facing those situations. Though, the karma still get on those pity woman, so yeah, everything still on the right track, bad guy always get the bad end. End of story. End of arc. Homura decided to take Valkyrie's role as the four shining star. Idk how its possible, more importantly with their effort to pass the dragonfall. How and why its okay? How about Drakken Joe and their next adventure? Well, lets aside all the questions first for the 'next' continuations, if any. Overall, this is quite a decent show. Fan service is just my way. My taste might be trash saying that all, but i can't help and lie to myself that i enjoy this so much, even though i never watch fairy tail before as a reference. So, yeah, anime surely save the universe. My universe. |

| Wow! Great ending for this season! Shiki vs Kurenai is so awesome! Homura handled the situation like a true warrior, in line with her master/mother/friend Valkyrie. Kurenai deserves what she's experiencing. Sister and Witch's scene is so heartwarming/emotional, they're really machines with a heart. Season 2 looks like going to be really tragic as per the preview. Shiki's going to die in the hands of Drakken Joe? Ziggy is alive? I'll definitely wait and watch Edens Crew's future adventures!  |

| Pretty good season finale and show overall. I enjoyed the space adventure vibes. Glad we saw the Demon King looking ether gear of Shiki, that was cool. Well then Kurenai, you get what you fucking deserve. Really sad to see Witch and Sister crying, but you gotta respect their decision to not resurrect Valkyrie. Definitely plan on reading the manga later on, but I am really looking forward to season 2. Judging from the preview, it's gonna be fire. 7.5/10 Also, RIP to the director Yuji Suzuki. That's pretty shocking news. |

| An emotional ending for this part of our heroes' journey, but that won't stop them from continuing to push ahead. I'm just happy Madame Kurenai got the karma she deserved. The show definitely had its inconsistencies throughout its run, but this final arc really stepped things up. Constant enjoyment, fire action, and some emotional moments that actually held weight and had impact instead of being some kind of cheap fake out that would be reversed later (for which a previous Hiro Mashima series was notoriously infamous). The ending preview looked hype, I'm for sure going to get back into the manga now, and I'm looking forward to an eventual S2. |

That would be true if Tartaros , Tower of Heaven ( Manga version ) didn´t exist Those two arcs was also dark and 100 Years Quest the sequel is heading a darker direction very soon aswell |

Not hearing a Dragon Force similarity OST in Shiki´s fights feels like something is missing it needs a Epic OST in Season 2 ! In my opinion Edens Zero is great the start is better than the first 20 Epsiodes of Fairy tail I agree Fairy Tail´s start episodes was a bit slow the first few episodes was more like introduction Episodes until the first true arc begun which is Gray´s arc in Guluna Island |
| I still can't believe this is written by the same Mashima who wrote Fairy Tail. I didn't see any major fault I didn't enjoy in FT such as cringey nakama powerup, or overhyping the enemy and oneshotting them later. While the theme is still based on 'friendship', the writing got a lot better and more mature than FT. One distinct example is, in this episode, Homura didn't forgive Kurenai and told her to gtfo, and the latter got the karma she deserved. If this is FT, I can see something too positive like Homura forgiving her, she getting away scot-free to come back as a recurring villain, or worse, she'll repent and become an ally of sort. But not in EZ. She got fucked up here, literally. Emotional scenes are Mashima's forte since Rave and FT so they're as great as always but worth mentioning. World-building is top-notch too. If I have to nitpick, it's just that the arcs are kinda too short and no major battles with iconic villains yet like in FT. The rest, it's a huge step-up from writing perspective. It's very nice to see a visible growth from an author you're following for so long. Tl;dr Edens Zero is fucking awesome. Solid 8/10. Eagerly awaiting for S2 and if there's no announcement in near future, I might just read the manga. Edit: Just saw the news about how the show's director passed away. It was very sad to see that instead when searching for sequel news... May you rest in peace knowing you did a great job... |

| Homura's mother got was she deserved... well S1 is over, it's entertaining and watchable but really cliché especially for the characters, nothing truly interesting or worth it overall 5/10, still had a good time watching it weekly. |

| Not as good as fairy tail, but definitely interesting concepts present. (I am not sure whether am mistaken here, but i felt there were references from osamu tesuka and Leiji Matsumoto works, especially elise crimson part reminds me of queen emeraldas ) Worldbuilding was great and probably improvement over fairy tail. Though villans were not very good (especially pale in comparison to fairy tail villans). PV at the end was very intriguing, I am hoping villans part improves. Overall, I liked it. |

| That Kurenai bitch deserved it. I really like how Homura dealt with Kurenai. It was beautiful when Homura in the end addressed Valkyrie as her mother. I knew from the start that with the kind of power Homura has, she would somehow be the Valkyrie of Edens Zero. Can't wait for season 2 to see them go on in a more interesting adventure that awaits more difficult fights. Also can't wait to know more about the captain of Edens One. Overall 8/10 I guess there will be some time before the season 2 since Fairy Tail: 100 years quest will come out soon. |
