| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- A rather fitting test for a show that takes place in an otome isekai/fantasy world. I got the sort of adventurous vibe with Katarina and the group taking on their challenge together. Seems this show is still in tact with its fantasy elements and showing some impressive feats of the cast members. I'm entertained. They played the audience well with that wind scene imo. |

| Summer vacation is over, and Catarina decides to take a magical skills test. Catalina entered a complicated dungeon with various traps. Catarina and friends will likely try hard to complete this test. Giord, Keith and Sophia are in a team with Catarina and the rest will be in a different team. The labyrinth was full of traps and somehow the Catarina team managed to get through it like making a bridge, melting ice walls, and so on. But how stupid Catarina who always hooked a trap, as a result she fell into a maze and separated from the team members, you are actually beautiful but why are you so stupid, lol.  |

| It’s not often that we get to see how the arrival of truck kun affects people left behind in the MC’s world. I really appreciated that opening sequence. Very emotional. All but confirmed that Sophia is Katerina’s best friend from her past life. That’s very sweet that they got reunited in the next life. Personally haven’t seen that in an Isekai. Not sure if anyone else peeped, but the twintail girl right before they went into the labyrinth has Tohsaka’s seiyuu Love how the team was easily able to get through all of the traps that Bakarina set off. How are you so beautiful yet so stupid lol. Another really good episode, nice moment there at the end with Sophia and Katarina. I wonder what that shadowy figure is up to. Can’t wait for next week. |

| The short backstory at the start was sad and wow so Sophia is Katarina's friend's reincarnation huh, sweet. The test was hilarious specially cause Katarina kept triggering traps and she didn't even realise that she got the magic crystal lol. Also I wonder what that black aura behind her was. | The minute I saw that they were adapting Achan's PoV chapter from the LN in this episode, I started tearing up. I'm so glad they decided to adapt it. It's a friendship that transcends worlds. The rest of episode was anime-exclusive content which was pretty nice. I think it really added to the foreshadowing of what's to come. Also glad to see that the characters are actually using magic in the anime lmao, they barely do that in the manga or LN. OH and not only do we get a Shining reference from this series, but now we get an Indiana Jones one too |

| Wow what a unothadox way of forging a new friendship. It is sad that one accident was the catalyst that split their new found friendship asunder. To think that Katarina will encounter her best friend in this new world as well. Yea an ending where you get offed due to failing of exams will be a bad one. While the trial within the ruins was a tough one it sure presented a good opportunity to showcase their field uniforms. Their little trial within the ruins though sure proved to be a most entertaining experience. Though Katarina's lack of magic sure proved to be a sour point for her. Still Katarina sure had a rather close call though. Overall an interesting ep that did well in showcasing how much Katarina's friend's have improved in both magic and knowledge. Though im curious on who the mysterious presence was. While a comment made in resentment that nobles comment about Katarina having lots of friends to support her also reflected well on Katarina's own nature that not only allowed her to forge many new friendships but also help them overcome their own issues that prevented it in the first place. |

| A fun twist. It honestly makes you think a lot of things. Which is always great for a series, to leave you wondering! I'm concerned about that dark thing surrounding her tbh. It just screams of it being the lost evil that the old Catarina. As in idea being that it manifested there and now will follow her for misfortune. Just my thoughts lol. I'd love if Sophia and Catarina can 'reunite' and keep past lives a secret. Would be so cute. |
| it's a really nice perspective they gave us with achan. you don't ever really seehow other people feel in the real world in isekai, let alone how they used to be. it's always that they're loner otaku's but this is a fresh twist. also, today was a win for the lesbians lets GOOOOO |

| We never get to see what happens on the other side of the story with the people MC left behind so I really appreciate it, super emotional and having a really nice turn with their friendship transcending worlds. |
| And to no one's surprise, Sophia is Acchan. I mean, with the clues that were there and with both of them being voiced by Inori Minase, this revelation isn't that mindblowing xD. But man, that backstory, I teared up with the last message she sent her ;_; . And while it's sweet that they've met again, it's kind of sad that they don't know who the other one is. Like with Catarina, at best, Sophia reminds her of her old friend. It's funny how they remain mysterious about Catarina's past to the point that she looks like a hentai protagonist. lol That wouldn't be a bad way to go, Catarina... Jesus Christ, Mary xD. Speaking of Mary, it was nice to see some Alan x Mary for once. The earth bump lmao. She was so proud of it. I wonder what that shadow is, Maria saw it too. And then the whirlwind that saved them. Does the redhead have anything to do with it? We only saw him once in the episode. |
| I like the whole thing about how it's basically confirmed that Catarina's friend was isekaied into this world. I enjoyed this episode even though you might consider it filler because the dungeon thing wasn't in the LN but it was great regardless of that. It got to show off more of everyone's powers which is always a cool thing to see even if it's not the most important for this kind of anime necessarily. I always like me some Bakarina every Saturday. Every episode feels like it goes by so fast and I always want more. See you next week for episode 8! |

| Oh god that first scene really got me. That was really sad. So Sophia is the reincarnation of her friend. That debunks my friend's theory that a sequel would follow the friend reincarnated lol. I like Sophia a lot more now though. They're friendship is inseperable. |

| The first six minutes were quite an interesting twist. Sophia has dreams about a past life of someone who was close to the girl Catarina was in her past life. Sadly, Sophia doesn't have the full memory of her past life like Catarina has, otherwise she would know that the game does not follow any of the routes in the way they should have followed! This is legit the only time I would wish someone to fall and hit her head.... Almost every guy has shown a bit of their power this episode, all came in very handy during that exam. The dark shadow is definitely the most mysterious and Maria has actually spotted it! Who knew that even failing the Exam could lead to your doom by having yourself killed by your mother, harsh man!! |

| This was by far the most serious episode xD So, in the end, Katarina seems to have died in a road/car related accident - Truck-kun again? xD and i though she died at home being a lonely otaku or something. It was surprising to see that Sophia is actually Katarina's bff from the other world who also reincarnated in this game world. (wonder if she died young or lived a full-life) Great episode overall. |

| Wow, it's interesting to see the aftermath of an isekai mc's death in their previous life. I liked the plot twist. Now I'm fully supporting the Catarina x Sophia ship lol. Catarina x Nicol is also fine since Sophie also ships them and Catarina can start shipping Sophia with Keith in return. |

| After watching this episode I've realized how good this show is. I like how we learned more about Katarina's past before she came into the Otome game and how she was killed. Its sad for her friend Atsuko I wonder what happened to her. Geordo and Keith's bickering over Katarina was so funny. I love there relationship. If I did not ship Katrina with everyone I would ship those too. Sophia's and Katarina's relationship grew too this episode it might be implied that Atsuko is Sophia. Also, I loved to see them talking on a magic aspect this episode! Well, I guess next episode we will learn about that mysterious person who saved Katarina. |

| Since Acchan lived all her life until advanced age, probably she will not get all her memories back, unlike Bakarina. I guess that is the better turn, since if she recovered her same personality from previous life, 1st she would recover the mind of a old lady with complete life (husband, kids, grandchildren etc), and 2nd, she would turn into another person, "killing" the Sophia that we and Cat know so far. ------------------ Btw, the anime is doing a GREAT job in its adaptation. Improving 100% the manga. In most of episodes they are includind important details, some flashbacks, and just as like the 2 previous episodes, building an intire story over what in manga was just an short gag (visiting Maria's hometown / going to the lake) Added the Acchan-Sophia link, wich is one of the few, if not the only, Isekai "reborn in another world" (and not "sent or stuck") that we see what happened with the people who remained alive after the protagonist passes away. 2nd, create a "filler" that was VERY necessary, since this show with a Magic School in the background, and friends that would die to protect Bakarina, was completely lacking any tension and action. Now it is more complete and their bonds are even more tied. The director deserves my respect. |

I would cry I guess Sophia already realized it in her heart at least, altough without remember all her life, what would change her personality just as did with the young Bakarina. Now i hope in some point of the climax of this story, Bakarina discover that, that Sophia is the reincarnation of Acchan, that would be really priceless. And i have a guess that it will happen at the same moment when the mistery around the "hard secret route" that only Acchan knew (and that problably have a hidden flag to doom) got solved. |
