Maison Ikkoku might have actually been good if it was 24ish episodes long. Literally, every episode played out the same way with little to no development until the very end.

Erased was a rly good anime but the ending man... who wrote something that shit.
I mean even the murderer waited for him but not his girl. ;D

I agree with your Ikkoku review. It is said to be the best romance or mature anime but I don't think it can be even called romance. The way story progressed it can be best called as an comedy. The author overused the misunderstandings as a plot device here.
Clearly the side characters are more interesting than the main leads.Clearly I don't want to see a main lead like Godai in any form of media. He barely improves as a character and stays a wimp throughout the whole series.Unfortunately the series was able to progress only because of 2 things Neighbors harassing Godai because of him being a wimp and Misunderstandings

If I talk about Kyoko her character is as bland as watching a wall. The issue of Her being as a widow was really stretched as it seemed like her husband's death anniversary came after 4-5 eps itself.I thought "How many times will she make her husband's anniversary in a year"LOL
And the decision of choosing the Godai as her husband over Mitaka. That was really mind boggling. What message the author was trying to convey by this decision that"True love conquers everything"some shit like that I guess"I agree with you that Mitaka was the only sane character in this series who actually acted like an adult.

This series has a truckload of flaws but I quite enjoyed my time here as I watched the series only thinking of it as a comedy only rather than romance and tbh I really like misunderstandings as a plot device.I can't deny it surely makes up for lot of fun everytime for me and I guess I am also a masochist for me to enjoy this.LOL.

+1 for your review !!

I haven’t seen it, but I found Asakusa funny from clips in youtube. I’m just really surprised you put it at your top 3. They’re all quirky, it’s appealing

isn't it true tho? just sayin'
some people like their anime to have bishies. some people don't mind. it all depends on how they interpret it.

"oh it doesn't have bishies? then I won't watch it."

"oh it doesn't have bishies? I don't mind"

I really adore your Ikkoku review.
Thank god you blasted that overhyped train-wreck of a romcom that is filled with contrivances.
+1
I will be posting my review of it soon.

Nice review though and thanks for your message.

No, Erased ultimately became a joke because of how convenient the "revival" turned out to be. It went from being random to being used at will, with no real explanation. To add to this, the villain was never really a secret, the kids were somehow smarter than your average american adult, and the ending was dumb, rushed, and over the top.

Up until the episode where he decides to use his 'revival' after being arrested under the bridge, I was confident erased was going to be something really special. It certainly had everything going for it.

I know! I was like I really shouldn't be doing this, just because everyone's taste is so different. But I do love watching different genres as well, and I thought doing this would get me pumped up to watch even more anime because while I am watching quite a bit of anime before, it felt like I was in a bit of a slump; if that makes sense.

And thanks!
