| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- First episode is up on Docomo Anime Store. We meet Kotoko in the beginning with the main male protagonist, Kurou. Their character chemistry is kinda funny especially in the first half of the show. It didn't take too long for the epsiode to show off the supernatural creatures. The action was okay but it wasn't groundbreaking. Kurou seems like a protagonist that I want to actually want to find out more about, considering he took on that monster without having too much trouble. Glad they kept this uncensored. The theme song is played is pretty catchy! (with the dancing segments and moves) |

| It's surprisingly nice. Loved the dialogue. It reminds me of Bunny Girl Senpai where the couple flirt with each other in a witty, sophisticated manner, which is very a refreshing thing to have in anime where awkward teens have dominated the genre for decades. |

| Wait, did the anime changed the chronology order of the story? That snake appeared on EP2 preview was supposed to appears after they defeated the main villain of this season. Although the pacing is less confusing compared to the manga, I still hope they don't treated the hospital scenes as a flashback instead. |
| Kotoko is an interesting character though I do feel bad for her that she lost an eye and a leg. Also, I want to know about Kurou. The ED is pretty nice. |

| Quite good, thing that stands out so far is the chemistry between the 2 leads! Kotoko is an interesting character and I already like her, also think that the final scene with Kurou getting his arm eaten (and regrowing afterwards) was pretty cool. It's a mysterious series for sure right now, but that's what I love. Can't wait to see more and find out more! Also, gotta hand it to Mamoru for singing that ED, this guy can do anything! |

| So the girl dumped him cuz shes scared of yokai to death and he is kind of a .. yokai himself ? Also is the manga the original or is it just manga adaptation of the LN ? |

| So-so start. The dynamic of the main duo was nice, but the rest hasn't really concinved me yet. Still worth watching for the character chemistry, at least for now. |

| Hey that was OK. There was a lot of talking, a lot of sitting on one bench expositing both main character's backstories and personalities. The writing is kind of bad honestly but I like the powers they both have. Looks like a youkai hunting duo, badass. One-eyed loli is cool, the dude is boring but kind of cool. I think this will be a mystery... but the only mystery so far is why the girl is in love with such a boring guy. I don't think the clumsy script is due to poor English subtitles, at least that fight scene was entertaining in spite of the awkward dialogue. that ED is FIRE!!!!! |

| Hmm decent start. Dialogue is a bit much, but it's to be expected. Apart from that, I very much enjoyed the OST. And the little fun interactions between both characters is the very reason why I enjoy this story. |
| I loved it! As long as the script writer, series composition, and director don't screw up, I have faith in any of Shirodaira Kyou's works. I haven't touched the source, but Spiral and Zetsuen no Tempest are very well-written stories, and I heard a lot of praises for Vampire Juujikai. This felt very much his style, with calm male and female MCs. If it's really the usual Shirodaira type of story, then we're in for a ride! Although, it's only 12 episodes, and his stories (the mystery part) only get very good and really distinguish themselves apart from others later on. Still, I'm excited for the rest of the show! I love the character designs :) |

| Got pretty interested right away, the way they fed the information so far was really great, keeping it just out of reach and veiled enough to add a very mysterious appeal to the characters, who are already very unusual and appealing, well, at least the girl is, the guy is just shown as generic... Until he's not. Definitely watching this one, hope they can keep it up. |

| Well I'm hooked! The two mains have such great chemistry and the mysterious nature of both is super interesting! I have a big fondness for Yokai and Ayakashi so I think i'm gonna really like this anime. I'm so excited that Kurou is voiced by Mamoru Miyano... he's so damn talented! I was also surprised to learn that Kotoko is voiced by Akari Kitou, the VA of Nezuko (Kimetsu No Yaiba) and Nene (Jibaku Shounen Hanako-Kun) |

| Surprisingly good. The atmosphere reminded me Mushishi a little. Or more like Mushishi X Monogatari. And I picked it randomly because I liked the poster. |

| Pretty nice start ngl, as expected Kotoko is killing it with her witty humor. Still feel like she should've had a lighter voiced VA though albeit Akari is doing a good job so far And as expected it is very dialogue-heavy. So much so I couldn't even continue reading the manga cause it's so long lmao Guessing by the cover art this will go up to the SL Nanase arc which makes sense I guess CHC said: It's surprisingly nice. | That girl lost some of her brain too. To fall in love because he looks like a goat was unexpected. It remembers Gosick a little, but looks like it's just mini cases to be solved in one episode. I will give 3 eps just to check. |

| The interactions are pretty fun, with Kotoko not holding back on her attempts to woo him. Hopefully the yokai related side of the story gets more complex and doesn't constantly just use him as a way to conveniently deal with yokai. |

| Ok I really really really like this show. The setting, plot, character dynamics and premise remind me a lot of Inuyasha which is still my all time favourite series. Kotoko just got added to the waifu list too, this will be one of the 20 shows I'm watching this season. First episode was genuinely a lot of fun, usually when I watch anime I'm scrolling twitter or on FGO and just listening in the background, but I was fully drawn into this episode, will have to check out the manga. I think this will definitely be a sleeper this season. |

| I like the pairing of Kotoko and Kurou. This seems like a nice supernatural series I can sink my teeth into so I'm looking forward to more. I also like Kotoko's character design, her hair is so fluffy. |
