| I guess I am the same as Denji as I was planning to stop at chapter 4 for today, but I wanted to see if denji would get his wish come true and it did with added bonus. lol I like this manga so far, very interesting, this is truly a breath of fresh air compare to most wsj series. I heard the sequel is going to be monthly, this may be a good replacement once snk ends to follow monthly. :( The plot is simple, but at the same time executed well. |

| Loved these panels. The black background in Denji's parts does a great job of expressing his unfulfillment in groping breasts for the first time, and it makes for a great contrast with Power's current energy. The panel break in the top half on being there to separate these different backgrounds is excellent, as we see they're really connected with Power's hand stretching over into Denji. The panel break between the top two panels aligning perfectly with the background split in the bottom was is a great touch too, and just really sells the disparity in their mindset. I wasn't a fan of this motivation, but I do like the way it resolved with it being a fruitless effort, only truly satisfied with Makima ramping up the sexual tension to a surprising degree for a Shonen Jump series and mentioning that it matters the more you know your partner works well. It 100% comes across as she's just feeding into Denji's base desires for her own purposes, which makes their dynamic a little more interesting. Seems like the Gun Devil is being set up as the final big bad to take down. *Edit* This Bat Devil arc as a whole was kinda weak though. I liked this last chapters and some select moments whether they be Denji chucking the car or the artwork, but this was definitely a downgrade compared to the opening chapters with Denji being rather one-note and Power being annoying. |
