| For me, it is the best anime of the season along with Yuru Camp. Seriously, this show knows exactly how to balance comedy and drama, creating many great moments that either make you laugh, or make you teary-eyed. While it is a CGDCT show, the characters and story are both far above average in the subgenre, and the moe factor is not its main selling point in my opinion. As long as the rest of the series continues to hold its current quality, it will likely remain my favorite anime of the season, if nothing else. Yuru Camp, on the other hand, is the best iyashikei show to come out in a while. It is without a doubt, the most relaxing anime I've seen since Non Non Biyori. So yeah, hard to pick an absolute favorite between these two shows. P.S. Didn't cry in episode 7, but was definitely hit in the feels when Shirase introduced herself to the crew near the end of the episode. |

| Only a half of the season is out yet, so still can't say. But what i can say is that yes it definitely is one of the best shows of this season, shame people can't see how good this is because of mainstream/hype rules they blindly follows. |

| I mean... Yes. I have a few season's favorites that I enjoy a lot, but so far I simply don't see any contender that can overshadow THIS FRAKKING THING for me. The skill level of the production team was apparent from the very start. | AOTS for me too. I though after the first episode it was nice, but with the 2nd episode, I became really enthusiast about it. Comedy is great. VA, animation and dialogs are great. A cute girl show done right. Koi wa ameagari no you ni, and yuru campu are behind, violet could have been better (I'm really disappointed with Kyoani on this one) and I have a sweet spot for Kokkoku's dysfunctional and funny family. I won't count 3 Gatsu which is above everything for me (out of competition somehow). |
| Definitely my AotS. All the elements that make a good piece of any visual media, direction, writing, acting and music, are top notch. Talking of genres, this has elements of so many different types apart from the adventure tag that it currently has like CGDCT, SoL, drama and comedy, but you wouldn't call A comedy or A drama because that's not it single approach to the story telling. So tagging it as such might confuse or even put off some people. I just constantly bang its drum on the other anime forum I visit and hope people pay attention. My top 5 from the season is completed by Yuru Camp, After the Rain, Citrus and Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens. |

| There is no question. It is my AOTS at the moment. If I could get anime that cares about the plot like this every season I would be in heaven. Yuru Camp is my second choice. We are just halfway. It could turn into shit. Last year, Seikaisuru Kado was very interesting and turned into a dumpster fire at the last episodes. |

| If it can consistently maintain its quality for the rest of the season, then it's definitely ending up in my top 10 this year (and it's been doing a great job keeping that quality up for 7 episodes). The directing, the balance of comedy and drama, the realistic acting, and the motives of the characters already make it an outstanding anime. The only thing that I have an issue with are the blatantly noticeable white outlines around the characters which is rather irritating for me to look at. Hopefully I don't eat my words for this, but by the way the anime is progressing, it's going to be hard for them to NOT mess it up. |

| I can see it eventually reaching that first position, but so far, only by a slight margin, it's still Yuru Camp for me, which unlike this one has been equally solid for its entire run; Sora yori had to grow more gradually, from fine and promising to excellence, which is kind of a double edge because it could aim higher but it could also make a misstep and fail at some point, and that I'm quite sure it won't happen with Yuru Camp, not at this point. Regardless, both are extraordinary shows with a great art direction, very solid pacing and execution, and an understanding of their female cast, their friendship and their overall dynamics that can never get enough praise. |
| It certainly is for me. I fell in love for it from the first episode and it keeps getting better each time. To think I only noticed it cause a friend posted the opening on Facebook and I could have missed such a gem... It successfully combines slice of life, adventure, comedy, feels and coming-of-age story. The characters are nice, they actually develop (more in 7 episodes that many one-dimensional characters in their entire series) and complement each other. And each episode feels unique and different, something many shows lack. Some have mentioned Yuru Camp. It is my second favorite, but I still prefer Yorimoi since in Yuru Camp pretty much nothing really happens in plot terms. Yuru is my relaxing weekend-opener, but I don't wait for it with the same expectation as Yorimoi, and won't leave such a lasting impression if it keeps that way. Up to now, it has definitely earned a place among my favorite all-time anime. It may even end up being my favorite this year. I'm sad to think that it will end in 6 weeks... But well, Amanchu season 2 is airing that same week (it gives me a similar feeling, albeit it is more slice of life - oriented). |

And im not sure about Killing Bites it seem boring to me. |

How shocking Even more shocking if you consider that someone would follow a show he finds boring up to the 7th week. That aside, SOL is a difficult genre to appreciate. I can understand that some people don't get its charm. With other genres, you can make a simple story with simple characters and just pack it with battles/drama/romance/whatevercomeswiththegenre. I won't say that is bad either, but it's easier. Making a good SOL is much more difficult in my opinion, but can lead to unique masterpieces. |

| It is very good, I will agree for sure with that. I have it as an 8/10. Others that I have rated as an 8/10+ this season are: Beatless (yes I know others rate it low) Black Clover - continuation (yes, don't even say it, but I like this show) Boruto - continuation (this is actually a 9/10 for me) Dagashi Kashi Season 2 Darling in the FranXX Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody Gakuen Babysitters Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san Koi wa Ameagari no You ni Kokkoku Mahoutsukai no Yome - continuation Miira no Kaikata Nanatsu no Taizai: Revival of the Ten Commandments Overlord Season 2 Saiki K Season 2 Violet Evergarden Yuru Camp The only thing currently airing I have above this is Boruto, which of course is a continuation from the past 3 seasons. But I love the Naruto-Boruto franchise, so I'm biased on that. |

As the title "A story that leads to the Antarctica" states, it is about the journey that brings them there. And if you think nothing important happended, you weren't paying attention on how the characters have matured. Just putting them there in the 2nd episode without any problems to overcome would have killed their development. It seems that you were expecting a completely different thing from this show, which is perfectly legit (I was expecting that too in the beginning, specially due to the opening). Considering the series you have listed, this isn't certainly of the same kind, so you either take it for what it is or move on to another thing. |

| I came to it with quite a lot of expectations because of the staff involved with the anime and they were nicely met. Still a stretch to say it's the AOTS for me since there are few other shows I am loving right now. Especially Yuru Camp. Had almost close to zero expectations but it's just so relaxing with a likeable cast of characters and something that I can relate to more than that of Sora yori, so maybe my bias came from that? Dunno. |

| not even close, i give this anime a chance till 3rd episode and dropped it.. for me, Saiki Kusuo s2 is definitey AOTS for this season and next season as i aready wait this sequel to be aired for a year.. what surprise me this season is a hidden gem: Mitsuboshi Colors and really too overrated anime: Overlord s2 |
