I will try to find some time around to read SSR. Actually I am already in quite a backlog with anime/manga I have been following so I will see when I can get around to read it!
I am really enjoying Amanchu! Advance. It's already better than the first season in many ways with Teko's character showing a lot of development or at least she is trying to change herself actively. But if you want me to recommend an anime from this season, it has to be Hisone to Maso-tan. It's really unique and the characters are already a lot more fun than most of the characters of the anime that premiered this season.
I am enjoying Tada-kun a lot. It's a simple romcom and I can watch it with ease. I am still a bit worried about Teresa's real identity tbh. I think you know what I am trying to say here. Wotakoi is another romcom I am having fun with. Particularly because I love the manga. The animation could have been better but I won't complain.
Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou is quite a fantastic story. It really gave me the chill of what human might actually do. The apocalyptic world it presented to us was simply wonderful. Other than the final episode, which I heard deviated from the manga, the rest of the episodes were extremely interesting. Chii and Yuu's interactions were also another plus from the story. The dialogues were pretty exceptional.
I do agree that certain shows get me so hooked up that it might effect my mood for other shows that don't shine as brightly as I would like them to do. That's the downside of watching so many in the first place! >.<
I'm hoping that Violet Evergarden has a satisfying final episode. The hype went out of control before it aired and despite that, I think it did well to meet that hype.
I didn't know Hotarubi was actually published before Natsume Yuujinchou until just now. Of course the movie came after Natsume TV series so I always thought it was the other way around. I will just let you know that the first season may seem a bit slow paced. It is the second season where things start to get more interesting as Natsume starts to have more interactions/encounters with human and not just youkai. Also, there will be many recurring characters (human and youkai) so you may wanna pay attention to the characters when they appear in season 2 (Zoku Natsume) in particular.
I have to finish the Tamayura movies soon. I just didn't find time to watch them.
Yeah, it's always nice to mix genres as I found it more interesting to enjoy anime that way. I used to watch a lot of seasonal anime in the past but now I only see a very few. Also, the more I see anime the more originality they seem to lack. I dunno how many you have seen in the past or how much your list reflects of anime you have seen but you'll notice that once you have seen more anime. ;)
You can look up Tamayura. It's one of the most underrated anime in MAL directed by the same person who directed ARIA. Also, if you are looking for something really beautiful watch Natsume Yuujinchou.
Even though I enjoy slice of life the most, I have a wide variety in taste when it comes to what I like in anime actually. My top 10 has a slice of life, a comedy shounen, a fantasy shoujo, an adventure shounen, an action mecha, a romance drama, a sci-fi thriller, a music drama, a sports josei and a battle shounen. :)
