About time Nonoka told the others about Noel or what she knows anyways.

Poor girl though. I'm glad she's doing better though. Shame about Shione. I hope she opens up a bit like she did during her childhood. Noooel :(

Noel getting better after being near the saucer.

The best solution for everybody to be happy. Would having everybody stay and let Noel grant their wish be the best. Trying to call her back afterwards but what if it doesn't work on that they can't make a wish for the sake of getting Noel back or something like that.

Shione telling everyone that Noel will disappear after their wish are granted. With only one person having to leave, feel bad for Shione. Noel bringing great happiness yet indirectly bringing sadness. Her one goal above all is to be able to see them happy and to be unable to grant that would almost seem like taking something away from Noel ;_;

How Noel feels about everyone and how she thinks she has to leave. I don't want Noel to go! Is the best ending to just accept that Noel will have to leave and try to remain positive that Noel was able to do what she wanted the most. Sigh... bittersweet or perhaps the perfect end.

Shione finally reveals the outcome of their wish coming true, which is Noel's disappearance. Headphone Actor's influence is so strong, now everyone is becoming stranger to each other.
Why the hell are they getting upset over it for? It's not like she'll be gone once and for all, at least that's what Noel said herself.

This show now has two sides that wants to satisfy each other (Noel & the rest of the crews) but by doing so, their friendships are falling apart. Stupid drama, but sort of amusing too.

Average episode. I'm assuming next episode will be about Noel going around saying farewells to everyone.

The forced drama here just gets more and more laughable and pathetic every episode. Now the whole group has fallen apart because of what Shione has told them, but when have any of them ever been given much of a reason to care about Noel in the first place? Those little moments they had really don't justify their responses.

And anyway, it's apparently all for naught as Noel is leaving anyway. What a waste of an episode. At least if Noel leaves these stupid people might actually face their problems and deal with each other rather than being obstinate little brats.

The scene before Noel apparent goodbye was cringe-worthy as fuck.
Goddamn, it's like they want to top themselves every week in terms of mediocrity.

This show will be remembered as that "awful anime with some kawaii desu GIFs of a blue-haired girl on Tumblr" or something similar. And I thought Noel was going to be the worst aspect of this anime. But it's the show only above-average character.

Well, 10 episodes have been buried, only three more to go. We can do this. WE CAN DO THIS!

So in the end things got even worse now Shione told them.
And from the looks of things it won't be easy to fix them and for them all to be friends again.
Especially if Shione moves away.

Well hope things get solved before the last episode.

So Noel decided that she'll never get to see them smile as long as she's there, so she has to leave huh? I wonder how the others'll feel when they hear about that ^^

Agreed. Thanks to Shione playing the role of the 'villain' really well, the friendship between all 5 of them has virtually reset to zero.

Thank goodness Noel realized that it was best for her to leave. That way, the group can hopefully learn a few life lessons and grow up in the process.

Shame really, since Noel has been by far the most enjoyable character to watch from this show.

So everyone is basically not friends anymore. Tbh they all kind of caused this themselves. It's a shame that Noel has to leave since but that makes the most childish character in this series the smartest character. I enjoyed this episode, I hope the outcome of all the drama ends up being good.

I concur. I'm also enjoying this show. I tend to rate things by how well I enjoyed the experience, art, story, characters, etc.
What I find most amusing is so many continuing to watch, though professing to hate Sora no Method.

Before this episode I would honestly give this show an average 5. Now it is dangerously close to getting a 4, if they keep doing this forced drama thing.
It is so jawing that Naoki Hisaya has become so unimaginative and lazy in writing melodrama, the one thing that he is known for, and completely fail at it.
I don't get it. You have all the good people working on this show and the only thing holding it back is your script.

oh man. These kids just can't catch a break. Fucking Nonoka JUST CAN'T TELL THE GOD DAMNED TRUTH CAN SHE?!
Its going be be a bittersweet ending thats for sure. I really feel bad for these kids... And come on, tell me how mature all YOU were in freaking middle school.

You should have seen the shit that my friends and I would fight over or break apart over. and i can sure as hell tell you we didn't summon a massive magical saucer to hang over our town. Or have to deal with sacrificing a friend in order to be happy ourselves.
Did you all fail basic literature? Forget how to read between the lines or something? They don't have to spell out EVERYTHING for you, you have to fill in the blanks.
That being said.
I really want to see Nonoka FREAK THE FUCK OUT on her friends next episode.

Sooooo.... when's the title going to be changed to Sora no Method: The Saucer We Called That Day?

My opinion of this series is dropping again after these last two episodes, TBH. The middle episodes hooked me with their sheer moe factor and touches of melodrama that actually worked (Nonoka and her mom), but every time it stops focusing on moe factor and brings up the drama, it just goes back to being a shoddy version of Anohana with a significantly worse script and far less developed characters, and I have a hard time paying attention.

Like Anohana, the plot is ridiculously predictable (saw this Noel disappearing thing coming from episode 2); Anohana, however, had clever dialogue and multi-layered characters. Sora no Method does not.

The problem in the early episodes was the moronic drama. The problem in these episodes is not the drama, but rather how the drama is being handled.

The drama is getting more intense. Plus I love the irony that Noel comes to make everyone happy, but then she becomes the thing that is making everyone unhappy. So she has to leave in order for their wish to be granted, but in doing so would make them sad.

She's in a difficult position that's for sure!

I know the feels will be coming soon...

Am I the only one who noticed Nonoka's magic teleporting phone at the start of the episode? Amazing how the phone she dropped at the park bench could suddenly be in her hand like that.

Anyway, these past few episodes have done a number on my opinion of the series for reasons already mentioned ad-nausuem.

The first BGM track was too suspense/horror for that scene, a lighter one would likely fit better.

Happiness Level
Shione --> -1
Souta --> 0
Yuzuki --> 0
Koharu --> 0
Nonoka --> 1

Since when were kids of this age so considerate of other people's feelings over their own? These kids are all Saints or something. Watching all the drama unravel is so unreal.

Next episode, Noel attempts to bring everyone together to watch her leave. Yay.

Why do people say that it's a forced drama?
It was stated since the beginning (not clearly, but we knew) that Noel would disappear when they would get together again.

The characters just discovered that, and so of course they don't want that to happen.
Even if they don't know her for that long, they grew attached to her, since she's a cute and sweet little girl, and it would mean the death (kinda) of her.

Anyways, good episode, I loved how Shione just said to everyone what was the problem, and I wasn't expecting Souta to "sacrifice" himself, even tho they all just went their separate way.
Even that one about Noel going to disappear to make them reunite.

Anybody noticed Nonoka's phone is magically in her hand after she went after Noel when we clearly saw her phone dropped just before? I think Nonoka is related to Star Wars somehow.

I've thought about dropping the last 2 episode because of unbearable and idiotic drama. But this episode improved a little so I'll let that thought slide(until next episode). I just hope the ending is worth to watch at least a little.

Noel narrating the flashback and the very end of the episode.

And the tears start flowing. That was the beginning of the end right there.

some people expect that human life is always the logical Spock way? kidding me? have you guys ever been fighting with friends over something so important like other human beeings (yay, its an alien in this show, but thats not the point …)? or did anyone here has lost a friend to a far away place or to Death? so you cant say that this show is stuppid as hell. there are existing people reacting like that or in a similar way. guys, you are not the only one on this planet. keep that in mind. and i dont think, that all of you are superheroes made of steel who solve such a problem like these teenagers have in less than a second. this show is good as it is.

Narrative a bit melancholy and forced, but Noel is too pretty to leave this anime.

Then, Nonka run where Noel was Note that she hasn't any cellphone:

Then, she called her dad and in any part of the secuense Nonoka go where she dropped the cellphone:

well.... that was 1 step forward and about 5 steps back.....
ugh, I hate the forced drama in this anime. I just don't understand all the characters actions. Yes, Noel is going to go away once she grants their wish, but the thing SHE wants most is to grant their wish. What everyone is doing is basically shooting themselves in the foot..... they don't want Noel to disappear so they all break up their friendship so she can stay, but everyone is miserable and I can't imagine this situation is going to make Noel happy, in fact I am pretty sure it's going to make her very sad.

Ok, so I can understand why some people may say it's 'realistic' and maybe in some senses it is. HOWEVER in real life friendships shouldn't (shouldn't, not don't) work like this. If (as an example) your friend wants to move away to to pursue their dream you probably wouldn't stop them if you wanted what was best for them, even if it means not seeing each other for a long time or ever again. On the other hand if all you are doing is thinking of yourself you'll probably react the way most the characters in this anime do, by being self-centered miserable little idiots.

Sorry, that's just how I feel.

I feel relaxed while watching both, this anime and some MAL users getting pissed.

I'm just amused at those MAL users getting pissed, coz they have obliged themselves to watch a "bad" anime, and that's why I'm asking.

To me it feels like their wish is just generic enough to loophole Noel into it. If the wish is to be happy with their friends forever, and Noel is clearly their friend, then they must be with Noel to be happy. QED.

Wait- Sora no Method is shounen? LMAO I just read the tag. I thought the demographic was general audience.

The thing with this anime is, the drama is way too elongated. It could work A LOT better as a movie. It would have gotten 7.5+ easily just by a few tweaks here and there. Combine it with some breathtaking art (this anime promises) and then, you could have 7.8+

Shame. The only regret would've been, not being able to get attached to those awesome OP and ED songs.
