Wow that escalated. The Hermit tarot card was definitely a bad omen there.
I'm glad Himiko is okay though cause that was a close one. I noticed they showed some flashback between her and Nobunaga. It makes sense I guess since it let them get to know each other more from their POV. They were cute too!

Not bad for a set up episode I guess. The struggles are ahead.

Stupid table tennis game for the delay.

Card fallen off from the crush (?) showing Hermit. Himiko's turn to be alone with Nobu. Sacred place where she had miko's training when she was young and he saved her.

Those two got caught, and Sakurai-san's character getting discriminated. Author appeared, another masked guy? There's also a reason for Nakamura-san's character wearing mask.

Jeanne has connection with the East because of "Kagura", Himiko said, and she also made her admit her love to Nobu.

So Jeanne finally admitted it.

I guess Caesar had a reason why he teased Mitsuhide that much.

We got to see Arthurs face, but I thought it was rather anti-climactic^^

This episode made me wonder about Himiko's age, I guess she's older than she looks. I really hope she somehow manages to escape her grim fate, she's my favourite character :(

When Himiko appeared in this series, I thought she was here to fill the 'loli' role to please a certain demographic, but she's actually grown on me with her strength and determination. I get the feeling however that she might not make it, and that her provocation of Jeanne, was to ensure that Nobunaga would have someone on his side after she passes. I hope that's not the case though. I hope she makes it.

I have no idea what Caesar is trying to do.

Caesar..... I'm torn between the BA version and the version I wish mitsu or nobu would just put a sword through. What a dick he can be...

He probably had a hidden agenda, but he is still a freaking dick.

Caesar was awesome in this episode...

The entire 'the reason you suck speech' he gave to mitsu was spot on.. from how his face is full of hate and the speech about masks , he completely saw through mitsu, no matter what people think, caesar is clearly a sensitive person who understands others feelings, and he probably gave that speech to help mitsu change from his current bitter/jelly self by pointing out his flaws..

Caesar is an alpha male type who isnt afraid to express his feelings and most men want to be like him deep inside, he knows what he wants and he gets it, he is the total opposite of mitsu who is frankly a complete beta..

And personally i love how he NTRed mitsu hard by telling cesar how he 'would like to describe the softness of his woman's skin for 1000 nights'

Sadly, this episode seems like a death flag for caesar, i think he will be used in the homunculus thing and brainwashed to fight nobu and co, but will come to his senses in the last second to die in ichi's arms, i guess that would be a happy ending for him

why would mitsu kick caesar's ass lol? caesar saved his life once and he was probably the one who told the twins to free him, if anything mitsu should be happy to be his bitch and offer him his anal virginity

I have a feeling we may see Mitsuhide betray Nobunaga soon. And the way King Arthur revealed his face was cool, but I still bet he's Merlin in disguise; he probably used some magic to make his face look like King Arthur's.

And Caesar was released so I'm thinking maybe King Arthur gave Caesar a secret mission, but since Caesar was left behind the mission was cancelled.

Himiko is going to die.
Leonardo showed some emotions this episode O_o
Nobunaga was an idiot ever since he was a kid.
Jeanne awkwardly confesses her love.
Caesar was the good bastard.
Mitsuhide is feeling powerless (and some hints he'll betray Nobunaga or something too?)
Ichihime was singing a nice song.
5/5 episode...
Oh wait, twins appeared, make that 4/5.

Looks like we found a Caesar fanboy..while I don't hate Caesar and I also think everything he said to Mitsu was spot on and exactly what he needs to make himself happy, Mitsu is far from being a beta. Don't forget he killed Nobukatsu for the sake of the clan. His position causes him to act so reserved and careful, but Caesar's antagonizing of him will help him break away from that and find the middle ground that allows him to pursue what he wants while still acting toward Nobu's best interest.

not that im a fanboy.... just that i think people like caesar is someone men like to hate, but deep inside want to be like, i like those kind of characters conflicts you, make you hate and love them at the same time, rather than the usual tropes...

sadly, we all know there is only one reason akechi mitsuhide is in the show... if anything the latest revelation about mitsus father is a flag for the honnoji route, i cant see the show ending with mitsu in a good place just like i cant see caesar/ichi surviving the show alive, but who knows they might surprise you...

That said the even anime illustrators likes to shit on mitsu (drawn and signed by hirataka manufuji, the animation director/illustrator)

Caesar was awesome, although i hated him in the first episodes he showed up, with each episode he is more and more interesting character.

But why was Caesar treated so nicely by the guards when he is a traitor?

Himiko is so strong, hope she will escape her fate.

This was kind of a depressing episode for me.
Mitsuhide being mocked by Caesar, finding out that Himiko has a short life cycle...
It's funny how Ceasar was released like that, not that he was opposing them or anything.
I mean yeah, it was probably Bianchi and Nell who released Mitsuhide but they did it because they pitied him.
And how the whole invasion on the Star of the East is probably going to result in more calamity.

I doubt caesar actually got away with it, he is probably heading for his execution/ a gruesome punishment

The twins was working for caesar, most likely they freed him under caesars orders

And people are quick to forget the only reason mitsu is still alive and caesar got caught is because he had to save his ass last episode, if i was caesar i would be pretty pissed too, since if not for mitsu he would be back with his wife=P instead now its likely he wouldnt until when he dies

too much happening...
Nobu and Himiko have met in the past already, that was cute, Nobu's a fool too when he was younger. Jeanne finally says the truth, but i hope the series don't give much shit about it, it's a f.ing amazing story, not a love comedy.
Caesar's an ass, i wonder, what he'll do next time, why that speech with Mitsu about hate and heavy emotion (and his mask really suits him). he or Mitsu gonna die?
what is the secret stay between Himiko and Leonardo?

But the scene around the fire where Himiko was cold, Why didn't you hold her Nobunaga? The name "the fool" really suits you....

As expected, it was to good to be true that the girl who didn't seem to be the main heroine was the lover of the protagonist. But nope, she has to die T_T

I loved Himiko a lot from earlier on but this ep made me like her even more. Hope she can live for a few more eps at least :(

Loved the part with chibi Himiko and Nobu. She was really cute :3

Didn't expect she'd tell Da Vinci to dissect her :O

And Jeanne finally announced her loved for Nobu. About time -.-

I expect Caesar and Mitsuhide to maybe start understanding eachother this ep but lol was I mistaken XD Mitsu's suffering just increased XD We finally get to know about Caesar's mask XD

And is that really Arthur's face? He's....black?! O_o? XD

Noooo. Himiko gets death flags. I love her with him though.

I'm surprised Jeanne actually admitted that she loved Nobunaga.

The mask scene was pretty cool. I mean, there was a bit of symbolism under the convo.

This show is becoming pretty episode. I absolutely love the setting now. I just wish the story would be more solid, as well as characters. But this show is definitely underrated by most people, esp when it's lower than Strike the Booty, SAO and Tokyo Ravens. My rating is subjected to rise to a 7, as long as it can end well.

Don't forget that Jeanne could possibly end up dead as well by the end of the series. If memory serves me well Nobu had a vision about her getting burned alive.

There's a possibility that this show might end up with a quite dark ending.

This pisses the heck out of me.. They finally show that Jeanne loves Nobu, declares a war against Himiko and which I wasn't really in fond of but alright.. THEN they show that Himiko has a high chance of dying? Almost want to drop this despite how good it's been so far, Himiko's death might be too much for me. And they haven't even had their marriage yet....*sigh*

Getting interesting...

A 'war' on love has 'officially' begun - did not expect Jeanne to quickly admit to that...
Saw Arthur's face.. somehow his face made me laughed lol
Past of Nobu and Himiko seem to hint at something.... hmm
Hopefully Himiko doesn't die! But at this rate it seems that she is going to...

I am guessing that Mitsuhide will be the one that can 'handle' (or something) the holy grail, because questions such as "why am i powerless" starts popping out and usually in animes that's a sign s/he'll get more power in the future?

The Hermit is the tarot that signifies introspection, inner search or solitude.. it seeks to unmask what is hidden within oneself and one may do it by spending some time alone, seeking advice from an appropriate person or giving advice to another.. this is definitely the theme for this episode.. it can be seen a lot with Himiko and how she interacted with Nobu, Jeanne and da Vinci.. meanwhile, Mitsuhide is also having this experience.. being isolated from Nobu and others led to this, along with how he gained some insights from Caesar..

overall, a necessary episode to let us know more of Himiko.. it's just too bad it's also filled with her death flags..
Kawamori, you're really working against characters with something green in their heads, arent ya.. Himiko may not have the green hair you so despise, but you're also looking at her green magatama hair accessories?

This was a great episode. I'm so looking forward to seeing this to the very end.

So much for Arthur being the Saviour King. Now I bet as well that Merlin killed him at some point and took his place. After all the Eastern star has priestesses, it'd be only normal if the Western star has wizards or magicians.

But why must Himiko die ;( It's not fair for Jean to win Nobunaga like this ;(

now I wish she has a peaceful death, seriously, back off Jeanne!
