Meh I knew she wouldn't just die that easily.

I'm glad to see Nobunaga and Jeanne get along much better though. I'm really getting used to the fights in this show now. I think this was done right with the action. Mecha with spears lol. Wasn't expecting that brutal ending though.

Himiko getting treated, and everyone's sad over brother's death without knowing who killed him. Enemies teamed up. Quick and weird talk, to ask about who assassinated them. Then duel time. Wow @ that song (I'm guessing it's the coupling song for OP2). He won and the pendant was given. So Nakamura-san's character is to stop Nobunaga from gaining the power (by getting all the pendants together?).

Hmm? What's this? Caesar calling Nobunaga a coward? This coming from the guy who has now basically stabbed two people in the back. The first being a sneak attack on Nobuhide, and the second being Shingen who he literally stabbed in the back. That's ok though because he's eventually going to get his. He's setting himself up for the biggest ass kicking ever. Even more so if he is still planning to go after Ichi.

Not sure if you were paying attention or not, but Himiko is just fine. If you somehow only meant Nobukatsu then I apologize, but the way you structured that sentence makes it seem like you thought they both died.

Now that was quite the heated episode. Feelsy the first half then having the badass atmosphere the second. Caesar though is quite the hypocrite for calling Nobunaga a coward.

course he will.. that's already been implied by the Chariot and the Magician tarot cards..

i'm thinking that the Hierophant refers to Uesugi Kenshin as he looks to be the one who knows about the secret knowledge of what is really happening with all the ley lines and regalia and stuff, along with how he knew that Shingen just died.. since the card was not exactly drawn, we did not see him act yet..

also, i finally figured out how they will pan out the episode titles with only 22 tarot cards (of the major arcana).. there are also the 4 suits in the minor arcana tarot cards.. the Wands (we're more familiar with the French suit of Clubs) is in the next episode.. because minor arcana refer to less specific and mundane aspects in life, you can interpret Wands with peasants, and with the action of the will.. but most importantly for this show, it represents the Fire element which conveniently points out to the regalia that Nobunaga just acquired..

What's the deal with Nobunaga's gaps in logic? He says that the person who shot Himiko couldn't have gotten far, but that was at the waterfall separate from the Oda compound. On the other hand, when asked if Nobukatsu's killer should be searched for, he says that he's already out of their hands. How could the shooter away from the compound still be findable, but not the shooter who attacked from within the compound?

Also, why the fuck did he run away upon finding his father's killer? He didn't even say anything about it, he just ran. The answers to both questions might be very well in the episodes, but watching this crap once was enough.

My thoughts exactly!

Nobunaga is starting to wake up to his talents and its about time he started using his brain. I wonder what he'll do when he finds out about his brother's death?

Why are there 2 little blonde brats running around with Caesar? Why does every show have to have token overpowered kids running around? I find it very annoying.

First half got me worried that I waited 2 weeks just for a feels trip. It wasn't bad, I just wanted mecha action which was very well done in the second half. I enjoyed Shingen's rivalry with Nobunaga even if it didn't last long. Loved this episode 5/5 and can't wait for next week.
It feels like Leonardo is manipulating everything with his cards.

Adding Caesar to list of characters I want to see die a horrible, agonizing death.

Because he was injured after his fight with Shingen. Also if he stayed it wouldn't just be him vs. Caesar. It would've become him vs. Caesar + Shingen's forces. Too risky with his injury.

This is very interesting. I wish I knew these things about tarot cards. Considering this it's very clear that the writer is taking this show more seriously than it might seem. I'm glad this isn't just some random history mash up with mechas (which is cool too, but I feel that what we have here is much better).

the start was actually quite nice and had a great tone, then the rest of the episode was just as bad as the series has been, the action was weak as all hell and felt entirely disconnected from what its trying to be, nobunaga kind of just retconed a moment of character development, the direction in this ep was really bad as was the dialogue

on a less cynical note, the ost in this series is really good, i wish it went to an actually good show

Safe to say this is the most entertaining trainwreck to come out of the winter season 2/5

this is a pretty valid criticsm, this series has really horrible logic and even worse direction/dialogue, its one of the things that makes this series so bad

Simple, Nobunaga and the rest learned of Nobukatsu's murder through Mitsuhide - Mitsuhide only said that Nobukatsu was dead so other than Mitsu (for obvious reasons), nobody knows when the murder actually happened.

The murderer could have already left the area hours ago! A meticulous search/chase could only be done on horse (at best) so the distance between them could already be too much.

With the knowledge they have, sending people after the murderer would be a waste because the likelyhood of finding that person is very low.

AsherFischell said:

He ran because Caesar himself is a though opponent and he would have to fight against all of Shingen's forces. The Fool isn't powerful enough to defeat Caesar and an army - also, Nobunaga wasn't at 100% either.

If he didn't run, he would have lost and died.

AsherFischell said:

They were. Or rather, Nobunaga's actions were pretty self-explanatory (to me at least).
