I think I got into Biology as a kid because of it. A masterpiece indeed. What do you think of it in general? |

I loved it when I was a kid, it's a fabulous biology primer. I wonder what happened to the rest of the franchise, though. Why aren't they here on MAL, were only the first two co-productions and the rest completely French, so it's not considered anime, or what? |
My favorite genres: good Quality, better Quality, best Quality, Über-Quality. Scoring criteria: Existence does not precede Essence. Current status: OFFLINE. Even if not really. I have no Facebook, no Tweeter and no latest fashionable social network. Mail me only if you absolutely must, and I still won't promise to answer: the postman might have been shot by an automated sentry, blown up by a mine, eaten by a shark, or something. |

I absolutely loved it as a child. It was fascinating and educational even though I didn't particularly understand everything shown in it at the time, but the way it shows the work of the human body from inside in such a cool narrative way with characters and heroes and villains made it pretty interesting to watch. There's no other way to make human biology more interesting for children than an animation like this. I would rewatch it just for nostalgic reasons. |

Is this even an anime? According to Wikipedia, this show was made in France? |

On ANN it says; "Another joint production between France's Procidis and Japan's Eiken. It was not broadcast on TV in Japan, but rather released as an OVA." The way I see it the TV version should not be considered anime since it's largely a French production, OVA version could be called anime though. |

Lol, didn't expect to find it on MAL xD Tbh I always preferred historical series from that franchise, but this one's also great. I think I'll have to rewatch it now... |

This and Maya the Bee were shows I once watched as a kid, without realizing that they were anime (or the fact that they were animated in Japan). Had fun as a kid but now since I'm older, I either had a combination of nostalgic and cringey feelings when I rewatched an episode of this show today. Also I noticed few statements that feel... kinda incorrect such as Leukemia being a disease that can be cured for most of the times, when I'm fully aware of how many people lose their lives to this dangerous disease every year. |
I'm just an ordinary plumber. |
